Rami, Owner Mr. Singh is a proud husband and father of three young children, Asees Singh (5), Japna Singh (3) and Kirpa Singh (Infant). Inspired by his own children and the lack of quality care available, Mr. Singh developed a passion for Early Childhood Education which led him to open The Goddard School in Murray Hill. Prior to this, Mr. Singh worked in Finance and has a dual major in Finance and Accounting. Mr. Singh spends most of his time playing with his children and providing them every opportunity to develop a love of learning.

Emily, Director Emily holds a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Washington University in St. Louis and a Masters Degree in Special Education from The College of New Rochelle. Emily has been working in Early Childhood Education for over ten years. She began her career as a classroom teacher before spending five years working in New York State's Early Intervention Program. More recently, Emily served as an Education Director with NY Kids Club before joining us at The Goddard School. Emily has a passion for working with children and her favorite children's book is "Angelina Ballerina".

Mary Ellen, Director Mary Ellen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Long Island University and has spent the last 25 years working for an asset management firm here in Manhattan. After raising her now college age children, she retired from Wall Street. After 2 ½ years of gardening, reading, and knitting, she was eager to return to work in a lively, happy community. Mary Ellen is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of The Goddard Family. Her favorite book is “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein.

Christine, Lead Teacher Infants - Ms. Christine has a Bachelor's of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences. She has been caring for young children since the age of 14. She has experience volunteering at a school for special needs children and working at an in-home daycare. Ms. Christine enjoys interacting with young children and seeing how they interact with one another. She believes that children are our future and she is excited to be a part of their success and growth. Ms. Christine's favorite children's book is "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein.

Marie, Lead Teacher Infants - Ms. Marie is currently pursuing an associates degree in Dietetic Nutrition. Ms. Marie loves working with children because she feels a sense of accomplishment as she is able to watch them grow. Ms. Marie believes that a child's environment plays a crucial role in their development. She feels that every child deserves to learn in an environment that is nurturing and fun. Ms. Marie's favorite book series is "Harry Potter" by J.K. Rowling.

Candace, Lead Teacher First Steps- Ms. Candace holds an associate degree in Liberal Arts and Science and a bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies. She has always had a passion for working with children, but she fell in love with teaching children throughout the course of her internship at a head start program. She believes that the best way for a child to learn is through play. One of her favorite books is "Brown bear, Brown bear, What Do You See?" By Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle.

Samantha, Lead Teacher Pre- Toddler - Ms. Sam has worked with children since she was 14 years old.She worked in both before and after care programs before joining the Goddard franchise in 2017. She is currently in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Anthropology with a double minor in Archaeology and Education. In her classroom, she believes the children learn best by experience! They love to play and explore their surroundings and toys at all times, while also singing and doing their best to pick up new skills by repetition paired with a ton of positive reinforcement and encouragement! Her favorite children's book is “Good Night Moon” by Margaret Wise Brown.

Shanequa, Lead Teacher Pre-Toddler - Ms. Shanequa holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and has worked as a Lead Teacher for over 9 years. Ms. Shanequa is a firm believer that children learn best through their own self discovery and curiosity. She feels the most important thing an educator can do is provide a safe and fun environment for the children. Ms. Shanequa's favorite book is "Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?" by Eric Carle.

Lisbeth, Lead Teacher Toddler - Ms. Lisbeth is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She had previously worked at an after school program as well as in an infant program before joining The Goddard School. Ms. Lisbeth has chosen a career in Early Childhood Education because she is passionate about helping young children. Ms. Lisbeth feels that each child is unique and she believes it is an educators responsibility to assist each child with their individual learning style.

Marissa, Lead Teacher Toddler - Ms. Marissa has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing her Master's in Educational Psychology. She has been caring for children since the age of 14 and finds teaching young children to be very rewarding. She loves to see the growth in the children from their learning, as well as learning from the children. She enjoys watching how children's faces light up when they learn new things, and the amount of love that they share is amazing. Her favorite book is "I Love You To The Moon And Back" by Amelia Hepworth.

Yelitza, Lead Teacher Get Set - Ms. Yelitza is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and has 6 years of experience working with children. Ms. Yelitza's mother owned a family daycare center in which Yelitza assisted, and this was where she found her calling and decided to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education. Working in the daycare center, Ms. Yelitza discovered her joy in working with children. Her favorite children’s book is “Llama Llama Loves to Read” by Anna Dewdney.

Katherine, Lead Teacher Preschool- Ms. Katherine is currently pursuing an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts. She has been working with children of all ages for about 12 years. Ms. Katherine choose a career in Early Childhood Education to help educate and make a difference in our children’s lives. She has a passion for working with children and encouraging their creativity. Her favorite children's book is "I Like Myself."

Sallie, Assistant Teacher First Steps - Ms. Sallie holds a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies. She has previously worked in a dance studio and spent several years babysitting children of various ages before joining the Goddard School. Ms. Sallie chose a career in Early Childhood Education because she feels a sense of pride being able to help young children reach new developmental milestones. Ms. Sallie believes children learn best through play and through personal experiences. Her favorite children's book is "No David" by David Shannon.

She has over 2 years of experience tutoring Elementary School students and over 2 years working with Preschoolers. Ms. Emily chose a career in Early Childhood Education because she deeply enjoys being a part of a child's development and being a part of their growth and future success. Her favorite book is "The Way I Feel".

Karina, Assistant Teacher Toddler- Ms. Karina is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She has 5 years of experience working with children. Ms. Karina chose a career in Early Childhood Education because she enjoys spending time with children. Children, of course, learn from us-- but we also learn from them! Ms. Karina also enjoys watching how eager children are to learn new things.

Caroline, Assistant Teacher Preschool - Ms. Caroline is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and has over four years experience working in a preschool setting. Ms. Caroline enjoys working with young children and believes that all children are smart and talented. Ms. Caroline believes that an effective teaching strategy is to learn what each child's individual needs are. Her favorite children's book is "All The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss.

Wendy, Assistant Teacher Pre-K - Ms. Wendy holds an associate degree in Liberal Arts and Education. She has over 7 years of experience working with children ages 4 through age 18. Receiving daily smiles and hugs from children allows Ms. Wendy to forget about all of her woes. Her favorite children’s book is “The One In The Middle is the Green Kangaroo" by Judy Blume.

Jocelyn, Resource Jocelyn has an Associate's Degree for Medical Assisting. Her mother worked as a child care provider and as an assistant teacher for over 13 years. At a young age, Jocelyn grew up volunteering at her mother's work site until she had her own children. Since then, she has known how important an early education is in order to help children grow, from their first steps to their first words, and how adults play a big role in their life. As a mother, she has that natural nurturing love and connection with children. She has always been involved with her children's academic education, from helping them with their homework, getting involved and participating as volunteer in their school's activities and working with school staff, teachers and principal as a team. Jocelyn believes the best way for children to learn is through reading, play and interacting and socializing. She also believes that when it comes to learning, each child adapts differently. Her favorite children book is "Henry and Mudge" collections by Cynthia Rylant.

Remy, Resource Ms. Remy has obtained a Food Handling License as well as a New York Security License. Prior to joining the Goddard School, she had over 5 years managerial experience working in a restaurant. Ms. Remy chose a career in this field because she cares for the health and well being of our youth. Helping prevent childhood obesity and modeling a healthy lifestyle is something she is passionate about.
