Rami, Owner Mr. Singh is a proud husband and father of three young children, Asees Singh (5), Japna Singh (3) and Kirpa Singh (Infant). Inspired by his own children and the lack of quality care available, Mr. Singh developed a passion for Early Childhood Education which led him to open The Goddard School in Murray Hill. Prior to this, Mr. Singh worked in Finance and has a dual major in Finance and Accounting. Mr. Singh spends most of his time playing with his children and providing them every opportunity to develop a love of learning.

Emily, Director Emily holds a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Washington University in St. Louis and a Masters Degree in Special Education from The College of New Rochelle. Emily has been working in Early Childhood Education for over ten years. She began her career as a classroom teacher before spending five years working in New York State's Early Intervention Program. More recently, Emily served as an Education Director with NY Kids Club before joining us at The Goddard School. Emily has a passion for working with children and her favorite children's book is "Angelina Ballerina".

Mary Ellen, Director Mary Ellen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Long Island University and has spent the last 25 years working for an asset management firm here in Manhattan. After raising her now college age children, she retired from Wall Street. After 2 ½ years of gardening, reading, and knitting, she was eager to return to work in a lively, happy community. Mary Ellen is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of The Goddard Family. Her favorite book is “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein

Daira , Lead Teacher Infants-Ms. Daira is currently attending CUNY Hostos Community College and majoring in Early Childhood Education. She fell in love with teaching children when she did her internship at a pre-school. One of her favorite children's book is “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”.

Kareema, Lead Teacher Ms. Kareema is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been working with children since the age of 15 years old and she loves interacting with people. Ms. Kareema enjoys planning and constructing activities for children; watching them make real life connections. When she's not working, she's mothering her son, creating many memories, and taking on new adventures! Her favorite book, is Eric Carle's, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" since it corresponds with the growth and transformation of a child's life.

Christine, Lead Teacher Infants - Ms. Christine has a Bachelor's of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences. She has been caring for young children since the age of 14. She has experience volunteering at a school for special needs children and working at an in-home daycare. Ms. Christine enjoys interacting with young children and seeing how they interact with one another. She believes that children are our future and she is excited to be a part of their success and growth. Ms. Christine's favorite children's book is "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein.

Marie, Lead Teacher Infants - Ms. Marie is currently pursuing an associates degree in Dietetic Nutrition. Ms. Marie loves working with children because she feels a sense of accomplishment as she is able to watch them grow. Ms. Marie believes that a child's environment plays a crucial role in their development. She feels that every child deserves to learn in an environment that is nurturing and fun. Ms. Marie's favorite book series is "Harry Potter" by J.K. Rowling.

Candace, Lead Teacher First Steps- Ms. Candace holds an associate degree in Liberal Arts and Science and a bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies. She has always had a passion for working with children, but she fell in love with teaching children throughout the course of her internship at a head start program. She believes that the best way for a child to learn is through play. One of her favorite books is "Brown bear, Brown bear, What Do You See?" By Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle.

Samantha, Lead Teacher Pre- Toddler - Ms. Sam has worked with children since she was 14 years old.She worked in both before and after care programs before joining the Goddard franchise in 2017. She is currently in pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Anthropology with a double minor in Archaeology and Education. In her classroom, she believes the children learn best by experience! They love to play and explore their surroundings and toys at all times, while also singing and doing their best to pick up new skills by repetition paired with a ton of positive reinforcement and encouragement! Her favorite children's book is “Good Night Moon” by Margaret Wise Brown.

Shanequa, Lead Teacher Pre-Toddler - Ms. Shanequa holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and has worked as a Lead Teacher for over 9 years. Ms. Shanequa is a firm believer that children learn best through their own self discovery and curiosity. She feels the most important thing an educator can do is provide a safe and fun environment for the children. Ms. Shanequa's favorite book is "Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?" by Eric Carle.

Lisbeth, Lead Teacher Toddler - Ms. Lisbeth is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She had previously worked at an after school program as well as in an infant program before joining The Goddard School. Ms. Lisbeth has chosen a career in Early Childhood Education because she is passionate about helping young children. Ms. Lisbeth feels that each child is unique and she believes it is an educators responsibility to assist each child with their individual learning style.

Marissa, Lead Teacher Toddler - Ms. Marissa has a bachelor's in Psychology and is currently pursuing on her master's in Educational Psychology. She has been caring for children since the age of 14 and finds teaching young children to be very rewarding for her. She loves to see the growth in the children from their learning and also learning from the children. She enjoys watching how children's faces light up when they learn new things and the amount of love that they share is amazing. Her favorite book is "I Love You To The Moon And Back" by Amelia Hepworth.

Yelitza, Lead Teacher Get Set - Ms. Yelitza is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology and has 6 years of experience working with children. Ms. Yelitza's mother owned a family daycare center in which Yelitza assisted in which she found her calling and decided to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education. Working in the daycare center aided Ms. Yelitza in realizing her joy in working with children. Her favorite children’s book is “Llama Llama Loves to Read” by Anna Dewdney

Margaret, Lead Teacher Pre-K - Ms. Meg has worked with children for as long as she can remember. Her passion for kids is innate. She began studying business and soon and realized she was missing kids in her life. Meg graduated from Marquette University with a bachelor degree in Elementary/Middle Education and Communication Studies. She believes students learn best when they connect previous experiences with new opportunities. Meg's main goal for her students is to have a safe, comfortable, and fun learning environment. Her favorite children's book is "The Beautiful Oops" by Barney Saltzberg, because it teaches the reader that not only is it ok to make mistakes but something beautiful can be created from them!

Sallie, Assistant Teacher First Steps - Ms. Sallie holds a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies. She has previously worked in a dance studio and spent several years babysitting children of various ages before joining the Goddard School. Ms. Sallie chose a career in Early Childhood Education because she feels a sense of pride being able to help young children reach new developmental milestones. Ms. Sallie believes children learn best through play and through personal experiences. Her favorite children's book is "No David" by David Shannon.

She has over 2 years of experience tutoring Elementary School students and over 2 years working with Preschoolers. Ms. Emily chose a career in Early Childhood Education because she deeply enjoys being a part of a child's development and being a part of their growth and future success. Her favorite book is "The Way I Feel".

Karina, Assistant Teacher Toddler- Ms. Karina is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She has 5 years of experience working with children. Ms. Karina chose a career in Early Childhood Education because she enjoys spending time with children. Children, of course, learn from us but we also learn from them as well. Ms. Karina also enjoys watching how eager children are to learn new things.

Caroline, Assistant Teacher Preschool - Ms. Caroline is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and has over four years experience working in a preschool setting. Ms. Caroline enjoys working with young children and believes that all children are smart and talented. Ms. Caroline believes that an effective teaching strategy is to learn what each child's individual needs are. Her favorite children's book is "All The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss.

Wendy, Assistant Teacher Pre-K - Ms. Wendy holds an associate degree in Liberal Arts and Education. She has over 7 years of experience working with children ages 4 through age 18. Ayonna, Resource Pre-Toddler - Ms. Ayonna received her bachelor's degree in Biology from SUNY Potsdam and is returning to get her master's degree in Biology and Technology. Ayonna enjoys learning from the children in her classroom and watching them grow each day. She has chosen this career because she wants to make an impact on the lives of our future leaders. Her favorite children's book is "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak.

Karlie, Resource Ms. Karlie holds a New York stat Teaching Assistant Certificate and is currently pursuing a Child Development Associate credential. She began her career in early childhood as an assistant teacher in a bilingual childcare center before joining The Goddard School. Working with young children is Ms. Karlie's passion and she finds joy in seeing their progress. Her favorite children's book is "Owl Babies" by Martin Waddell.

Nora, Resource Ms. Nora holds a Childhood Development Associate credential and plans to return back to school to obtain her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She started working at a daycare 9 years ago and instantly fell in love. She helping children to learn about the world around them. When not at work she is a nurturing mother to her 5 year old daughter. Ms. Nora's favorite children's book is "It's Ok to Be Different" by Todd Parr.

Octavia, Resource Ms. Octavia has almost five years of early childhood education experience working with children from 3 months old to 3 years old.

Paola, Resource Ms. Paola currently holds an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts. She has been working with in early childhood for over 4 years. Ms. Paola chose a career in early childhood education because of the gratification she feels after seeing students become more intelligent, confident and their overall growth. Her favorite children’s book is “Princesses Wear Pants” by Savannah Guthrie.

Remy, Resource Ms. Remy has obtained a Food Handling License as well as a New York Security License. Prior to joining the Goddard School, she had over 5 years managerial experience working in a restaurant. Ms. Remy chose a career in this field because she cares for the health and well being of our youth. Helping prevent childhood obesity and modeling a healthy lifestyle is something she is passionate about.
