Rami, Owner Mr. Singh is a proud husband and father of two young children, Asees Singh and Japna Kaur Singh. Inspired by his own children and the lack of quality care available, Mr. Singh developed a passion for Early Childhood Education which led him to open The Goddard School in Murray Hill. His two children are currently enrolled in his school. Prior to this, Mr. Singh worked in Finance and has a dual major in Finance and Accounting. Mr. Singh spends most of his time playing with his children and providing them every opportunity to explore the world.

Emily, Director Emily holds a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Washington University in St. Louis and a Masters Degree in Special Education from The College of New Rochelle. Emily has been working in Early Childhood Education for over ten years. She began her career as a classroom teacher before spending five years working in New York State's Early Intervention Program. More recently, Emily served as an Education Director with NY Kids Club before joining us at The Goddard School. Emily has a passion for working with children and her favorite children's book is "Angelina Ballerina".

Alison, Assistant Director Alison holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Management as well as a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. Alison is in the process of obtaining her New York State Teacher certification. Alison has been working in Early Childhood Education for over 8 years. She has experience working with infants, toddlers as well as preschool age children.

Mary Ellen, Assistant Director Mary Ellen holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from Long Island University and has spent the last 25 years working for an asset management firm here in Manhattan. After raising her now college age children, she retired from Wall Street. After 2 ½ years of gardening, reading, and knitting, she was eager to return to work in a lively, happy community. Mary Ellen is grateful for the opportunity to be a part of The Goddard Family. Her favorite book is “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein

Daira , Lead Teacher Infants-Ms. Daira is currently attending CUNY Hostos Community College and majoring in Early Childhood Education. She fell in love with teaching children when she did her internship at a pre-school. One of her favorite children's book is “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”.

Cilena, Lead Teacher First Steps-Ms. Celina hold's a bachelors degree in Psychology. She has over 20 years experience working in early childhood education. Ms. Celina has chosen a career in this field because working with children is her ultimate passion. Ms. Celina enjoys working with young children and being a part of their learning experience. Her favorite children's book is Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?

Candace, Lead Teacher First Steps- Ms. Candace holds an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts and Science. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Studies. She plans on going back to school to receive her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood education. She believes that the best way for a child to learn is through play. She has always had a passion for working with children, but she fell in love with teaching children throughout the course of her internship at a head start program. One of her favorite books is "Brown bear, Brown bear, What Do You See?" By Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle.

Shanequa, Lead Teacher Pre-Toddler. Ms. Shanequa hold's a Bachelors in Psychology and has several years experience working with a wide range of children. She previously worked as a Lead Teacher for over 9 years.

Ms. Shanequa is a firm believer that children learn best through their own self discovery and curiosity. She feels the most important thing an educator can do is provide a safe and fun environment for the children. Ms. Shanequa's favorite book is Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See.

Marissa, Lead Teacher Toddler - Ms. Marissa has been working in the Early Childhood Education field for over 2 years. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and is currently in pursuit of her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education in Fall of 2018. She loves to work with children and to watch them learn and grow.

Jamare, Lead Teacher Toddler- Jamare is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts and has worked in the field of Early Childhood Education for about 5 years. She aspires to be a therapist. She firmly believes in “say it with a smile.” Jamare is excited to be a positive influence and essential piece of the Goddard family.

Alyssa, Lead Teacher Get Set- Ms. Alyssa is currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education and has experience working with a wide variety of age groups from birth to 5th grade. She has a strong passion for helping young minds develop and grow. Her favorite Children’s book is “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” by Laura Numeroff.

Katherine, Lead Teacher Preschool- Ms. Katherine is currently perusing an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts. She has been working with children of all ages for about 12 years. Ms. Katherine choose a career in Early Childhood Education to help educate and make a difference in our children’s lives. She has a passion for working with children and encouraging their creativity. Her favorite children's book is "I Like Myself."

Virginia, Lead Teacher Preschool-Ms. Virginia is currently completing a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Administration. She has over 5 years of experience working with children as an Assistant Teacher. She also has experience as an at home day care provider. Ms. Virginia is a firm believer that children learn best through active engagement and through their own exploration of the world around them. Ms. Virginia's favorite children's book is The Giving Tree.

Nneka, Assistant Teacher Infants-Ms. Nneka has been working in the child care industry for over 12 years. Ms. Nneka was previously an Assistant Site Supervisor and an Assistant Teacher. Ms. Nneka feels a sense of satisfaction knowing that she is able to make a difference in the lives of young children. She is passionate about being apart of their educational journey. Ms. Nneka's favorite book is Don't Forget the Bacon.

Sallie, Assistant Teacher First Steps-Ms. Sallie holds a bachelor's in Liberal Studies. She has previously worked in a dance studio and spent several years babysitting children of various ages. Ms. Sallie chose a career in Early Childhood Education because she feels a sense of pride being able to help young children reach new developmental milestones. Ms. Sallie believes children learn best through play and through personal experiences. Her favorite children's book is No David.

Samantha, Assistant Teacher Ms. Samantha is currently pursuing a degree in Anthropology and Speech Language Pathology. She has chosen a career in Early Childhood Education because she has always been interested in child development. Early Childhood Education is a familiar field for Ms. Samantha whose two siblings work in Special Education. Ms. Samantha previously worked at a day camp as well as another Goddard School location Upstate NY. Ms. Samantha's favorite children's book is Goodnight Moon

Marie, Assistant Teacher First Steps-Ms. Marie is currently pursuing an associates degree in dietetic nutrition. Ms. Marie loves working with children because she feels a sense of accomplishment as she is able to watch them grow. Ms. Marie believes that a child's environment plays a crucial role in their development. She feels that every child deserves to learn in an environment that is nurturing and fun. Ms. Marie's favorite book series is Harry Potter.

Karina, Assistant Teacher Toddler- Ms. Karina is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology with a minor in Early Childhood Education. She has 5 years of experience working with children. Ms. Karina chose a career in Early Childhood Education because she enjoys spending time with children. Children, of course, learn from us but we also learn from them as well. Ms. Karina also enjoys watching how eager children are to learn new things.

Lisbeth, Assistant Teacher Toddler-Ms. Lisbeth is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. She has previously worked at an after school program as well as in an infant program. Ms. Lisbeth has chosen a career in Early Childhood Education because she is passionate about helping young children. Ms. Lisbeth feels that each child is unique and she believes it is an educators responsibility to assist each child with their individual learning style.

Yelitza, Assistant Teacher Get Set- Ms. Yelitza is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology. She has 5 years of experience working with children. Ms. Yelitza's mother owned a family daycare center in which Yelitza assisted. By working in the daycare center, Ms. Yelitza found her calling and decided to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education. Working in the daycare center aided Ms. Yelitza in realizing her joy in working with children. Her favorite children’s book is “Green Eggs & Ham.”

Caroline, Assistant Teacher Preschool-Ms. Caroline is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has over four years experience working in a preschool setting. Ms. Caroline enjoys working with young children and believes that all children are smart and talented. Ms. Caroline believes that an effective teaching strategy is to learn what each child's individual needs are. Her favorite children's book is Dr. Seuss All The Places You'll Go.

Wendy, Assistant Teacher Pre-K- Ms. Wendy currently holds an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and Education. She has over 7 years of experience working with children ages 4 through age 18. Receiving daily smiles and hugs from children allows Ms. Wendy to forget about all of her woes. Her favorite children’s book is “The One In The Middle is the Green Kangaroo.”

Catherine, Resource Ms. Cat has a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. She has 4 years of experience working with children ranging in age from 2-6 years old. Ms. Cat chose a career in Early Childhood Education because she believes that she can make an impact on their development and is looking forward to the opportunity to help them grow.

Christine, Resource Ms. Christine has a Bachelor's of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences. She has been caring for young children since the age of 14. She has experience volunteering at a school for special needs children and working at an in-home daycare. Ms. Christine enjoys interacting with young children and seeing how they interact with one another. She believes that children are our future and she is excited to be a part of their success and growth. Ms. Christine's favorite children's book is The Giving Tree.

Christine, Resource Ms. Christine has been working in early education for over 6 years. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and is pursuing her Bachelors in Special Education. Working with children is her passion and she really believes she can make a difference in each child's life. Her favorite children's book is "The Rainbow Fish."

Emily, Resource Ms. Emily is pursing an Associates degree in Psychology. She has over 2 years of experience tutoring Elementary School students and over 2 years working with Preschoolers. Ms. Emily chose a career in Early Childhood Education because she deeply enjoys being a part of a child's development and being a part of their growth and future success. Her favorite book is The Way I Feel.

Nala, Resource Ms. Nala is currently pursuing a Child Development Associate she also plans to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education upon completion of her Child Development Associate. Ms. Nala has always had a soft spot in her heart for caring for infants. She is honored to work within a program that shares the same values and teaching philosophy as her. A fun fact about Ms. Nala is that she has twin daughters. Her favorite children’s book is “Gekko Saves the City.”

Nurri, Resource Ms. Nurri has an Associates degree in Medical Billing and is currently pursuing her CDA. She has worked in Early Childhood Education for over 11 years. Ms. Nurri chose a career in Early Childhood Education because some of her earliest and best memories come from her personal experiences in nursery school. She would like to have the same positive impact on the lives of others.

Paola, Resource Ms. Paola currently holds an associate’s degree in Liberal Arts. Shas been working with children ages birth through age 5 for about 4 years. Ms. Paola chose a career in Early Childhood Education because of the gratification she feels after seeing students become more intelligent, confident and their overall growth. Remy, Resource Ms. Remy has obtained a Food Handling License as well as a New York Security License. She has over 5 years managerial experience working in a restaurant. Ms. Remy chose a career in this field because she cares for the health and well being of our youth. Helping prevent childhood obesity and modeling a healthy lifestyle is something she is passionate about.
