What Makes Goddard Different

In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them. 

For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand on your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books, sensory and physical exploration each day. 

Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.

In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.  

Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a familiar routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play. 

Children are naturally curious about the world around them. They question, observe, explore, experiment and test concepts multiple times each day. Inquiry-based learning empowers children to ask their own questions and discover the answers to build on their understanding. As children explore learning materials in different ways, ponder new ideas, ask big questions and engage in hands-on experiences, learning takes root in the classroom, led by the child and guided by the teacher. 

Our education program, Wonder of Learning^®, is designed to make learning fun while instilling vital 21st century skills such as teamwork, problem-solving and social-emotional relationships. Wonder of Learning leverages the classroom environment and the questions children ask to create exploratory experiences that fuel a lifelong love of learning. It encourages children to seek information and deeper understanding because learning is forever and an answer is just an endpoint.
