Health & Safety FAQs

You can trust that your child is safe while at Goddard. Faculty are trained to swiftly react and follow emergency protocols and procedures. All staff members are first aid and CPR certified and trained in child abuse awareness and prevention. Some of the security measures we have include controlled entry systems, surveillance cameras on the playgrounds, stringent visitor policies and gate alarms. We conduct monthly fire drills and quarterly emergency drills.

Food and snack selections are chosen on a classroom basis taking individual allergies into consideration. We alert families if there are allergies in their child’s classroom, so they don’t pack anything containing the allergen. Teachers are trained in awareness of food allergies and how to administer epinephrine. If food is brought into School for birthday celebrations, it cannot be home made and needs to be in original packaging to ensure it’s safe to serve.

Contact your local Goddard School to inquire about vaccinations. There are children who can attend Goddard if they aren’t vaccinated based on medical conditions or sincerely held religious belief exemptions. Please note, not all exemptions are recognized in every state. To ensure the health and safety of everyone, if an outbreak occurs and a child has not been vaccinated, they will be asked to stay at home.
