Unleashing Creativity to Help Children Learn

Creativity is a skill children need to engage in independent lifelong learning. In early childhood, creativity doesn’t mean teaching children how to draw or write a story. It’s about creating opportunities for them to explore, experiment and ask, “What if?” When children engage in creative play, they’re not just having fun — they’re learning how to approach challenges with an open mind, test new ideas and think outside the box. These are the same skills that will help them collaborate with others, tackle complex problems and embrace opportunities as they grow.
