Before your baby can learn, they need to feel safe. That’s why our teachers form secure attachments with every child they care for. They build trust and confidence so little learners are free to grow and develop at their own pace.
Wonder of Learning®, our holistic inquiry-based education program, is built around keeping you as close to your baby’s day as possible. Every interaction, from a teacher following your infant’s gaze to a sensory experience that sparks a smile, is intentional, guided by a leading curriculum and ongoing assessment of your baby’s academic, social and emotional growth. Through our Goddard Family Hub app, those moments come straight to you in real time.
Everything you see in your child's daily routine is designed to bring our inquiry-based learning approach to life, turning each moment into meaningful learning.
"My daughter lights up and smiles every time she sees her teacher, and I appreciate that the other teachers also know and acknowledge her. It makes me feel like she is genuinely cared for and not just another child in the classroom. The app they use keeps parents updated throughout the day, which helps me feel connected and reassured while my daughter is there."
"The photos and videos that are sent make my day and bring a smile to my face every single day — and remind me that truly the only place more loving is in my arms."
"The Goddard School at Ballantyne feels like a home away from home. I feel secure in knowing that my baby is safe and loved when in the hands of the teachers at his school."
"Goddard's attention to transparent communication and quality of care have met and exceeded our expectations. We feel very fortunate to include them in our network of support for our child."
From preparing for your child's first day of school to our educational framework, check out our most frequently asked questions.
In each classroom, we provide hands-on, playful, child-centered learning experiences that vary based on the children’s levels of development. Teachers help children grow into happy, healthy, intelligent little humans who are ready to take on the world around them.
For infants, we follow the care schedule set by your family and utilize personal care moments to connect with and expand on your little one’s individual development. Our teachers also incorporate songs, finger play, books, sensory and physical exploration each day.
Our busy toddlers flex their independence as they learn to walk, talk and safely explore the world around them. Their curiosity and interests drive the classroom structure.
In our preschool and pre-k classrooms, we add more school preparation and readiness by focusing on academic skills as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills. Children learn how to ask and answer questions, work with others, navigate social situations and understand and communicate their own thoughts and feelings.
Our teachers expertly create supportive classrooms for all children to safely learn and test new social, academic and physical skills throughout a familiar routine that includes morning and afternoon snack time, lunch, naptime, exploration time, small and large group experiences and outdoor play.
Children are naturally curious about the world around them. They question, observe, explore, experiment and test concepts multiple times each day. Inquiry-based learning empowers children to ask their own questions and discover the answers to build on their understanding. As children explore learning materials in different ways, ponder new ideas, ask big questions and engage in hands-on experiences, learning takes root in the classroom, led by the child and guided by the teacher.
Our education program, Wonder of Learning®, is designed to make learning fun while instilling vital 21st century skills such as teamwork, problem-solving and social-emotional relationships. Wonder of Learning leverages the classroom environment and the questions children ask to create exploratory experiences that fuel a lifelong love of learning. It encourages children to seek information and deeper understanding because learning is forever and an answer is just an endpoint.
