STEP UP TO QUALITY - 5 STAR

Ohio's Step Up To Quality system is a voluntary quality rating system for ODJFS licensed childcare programs. It recognizes early care and education programs that exceed quality benchmarks over and above Ohio's licensing standards and makes it easy to find a great childcare and early learning program for your child. Step Up To Quality programs earn one to five stars – the more stars, the better. Each star signals a higher standard of staff qualifications, lower staff to child ratios and the use of assessment tools to plan individualized early learning activities.

OHIO HEALTHY KIDS CERTIFICATION

The project offers early care and education programs the opportunity to earn recognition as an Ohio Healthy Program. Steps toward this designation include: attending Ohio Approved professional development which uses the Healthy Children, Healthy Curriculum, implementing a wellness policy, improving menus and engaging families.
