A program of Child Care Aware of America, Child Care Aware helps families learn more about the elements of quality child care and how to locate programs in their communities. Child Care Aware also provides child care providers with access to resources for their child care programs.

National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredits early childhood programs according to health, safety and education standards. The standards are intended to provide a reliable and accountable accreditation system to encourage the field of early childhood education to strive for a new level of excellence.

NEVADA SILVER STATE STARS QUALITY RATING AND IMPROVEMENT SYSTEM
Nevada Silver State Stars Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) creates a culture of continuous quality improvement for Nevada's child care programs. The voluntary stars program defines “quality child care” and creates stronger learning environments for children using standardized, research based criteria. It provides a roadmap and support to improve the quality of early care and education services. Through, Nevada Silver State Stars, early childhood programs are assessed and given a number of “stars” to indicate what level of quality has been reached. Standards include quality indicators that expand on licensing requirements in the areas of: program policies and procedures; administration and staff development; health and safety; and family and community partners.

CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE FOR EDUCATION
Goddard’s Circle of Excellence Award for Education acknowledges Schools that provide the highest-quality and most consistent educational programs in every classroom. To be considered for the award, each School must earn one of the top two ratings of its state’s licensing program, become accredited by at least one of the four primary accreditors or achieve P21 (Partnership for 21st Century Learning) Exemplar status. Schools that earn this award represent some of the top education programs in our system.
