Chelli & Ryan, Owners Chelli and Ryan Motherway are the on-site owners of The Goddard School in South Reno. Chelli has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace University. Prior to becoming an owner of The Goddard School, her background was in the area of human resource management and employee relations. Ryan earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from UCLA and has a MBA from Case Western University. Prior to Goddard, he worked in the field of industrial distribution. During his tenure, he gained valuable experience in operations management. They have two children who are both graduates of The Goddard School and are excited to provide families the same great experience they had as Goddard parents.

Angela, Director Hi, my name is Angela and I'm excited to be a part of the Goddard family. I am originally from Oregon and received my Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Science from Oregon State University. While studying at OSU, I completed my practicum in preschool education. After college I worked in preschool classrooms throughout the West Coast. We moved to the Reno area after my husband completed his service in the Army and we're excited to see where this new adventure leads us.

Crissy, Director Hi, my name is Crissy and I started here at The Goddard School, South Reno in 2008 as a teacher and became the Assistant Director in 2012. In 2016 I became Director. I grew up here in Nevada and love the small town community that we still have in Reno. I have worked in Early Childhood since 2006 and obtained a dual Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and Human Development & Family Studies from The University of Nevada, Reno. I also have been serving on the Reno Association for the Education of Young Children board since 2013 as the Historian. I enjoy watching children grow and discover the world around them, while guiding and shaping their young minds.

Kristi, Assistant Director Assistant Director
• Ms. Kristi has her Child Development Associates Credential. She has also earned numerous credits of training specific to Child Development.
• She has been working with children for 8 years, not only in teaching but in a mental health capacity as well.
• As a teacher, Ms. Kristi loves when a child has their “aha moment.” It never gets old.
• Ms. Kristi’s favorite season is Summer and Fall because she loves all the outdoor activities and of course football season!
• Her favorite activity outside of Goddard is going on trips with her daughter and son, helping them explore the world.

Erika, Lead Teacher Joeys - Infants
• Ms. Erika is pursuing a degree in Child Development at Ventura College.
• She has been working with children for 19 years.
• As a teacher, Ms. Erika loves to watch the children grow and learn new things.
• Ms. Erika’s favorite season is Fall because she loves watching the changing of the colors.
• Her favorite activity outside of Goddard is being with her family and photography.

Terry, Lead Teacher Joeys - Infants
• Ms. Terry has received her Child Development Associate.
• She has been working with children for 25 years and has worked with newborns to 4th grade. She also has experience with special needs children and has experience as an Infant/Toddler Director.
• As a teacher, Ms. Terry enjoys teaching because children are eager to learn. She enjoys that they soak up information like little sponges and love unconditionally.
• Ms. Terry's favorite season is Spring because everything is renewed. She also enjoys the sunny days and blooming flowers.
• Her favorite activity outside of Goddard is playing bingo, watching movies, and crocheting.

Ronda, Lead Teacher Penguins - One-year-olds
• Ms. Ronda has earned numerous credits of training specific to Child Development.
• She has been working with children for 27 years.
• As a teacher, Ms. Ronda loves to watch the children’s progress and the unconditional love they give, as well as their innocence.
• Ms. Ronda’s favorite season is Spring because she loves the blooming of the flowers and trees, and the grass turning green.
• Her favorite activity outside of Goddard is spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren’s sports activities.

Lorena, Lead Teacher Pandas - One-year-olds
• Ms. Lorena has studied Early Childhood Education at Chabot College. She has also earned various credits of training specific to Child Development.
• She has been working with children ages 2 to 4 years for over 20 years.
• As a teacher, Ms. Lorena loves to help children explore new experiences in life and watching them grow.
• Ms. Lorena’s favorite season is Summer because she loves to go camping, hiking and other outdoor activities.
• Her favorite activity outside of Goddard is trying new restaurants in town.

Autumn, Lead Teacher Giraffes - Two-year-olds
• Ms. Autumn earned her Pharmacy Technician License in 2014. She has also earned various credits of training specific to Child Development.
• She has been working with children for 2 years.
• As a teacher, Ms. Autumn loves to watch the children grow and see their creative personalities emerge over time.
• Ms. Autumn’s favorite season is Spring because she loves the smell of the rain and loves to read in her reading window while it rains.
• Her favorite activity outside of Goddard is reading, baking and gardening.

Evelyn, Lead Teacher Monkeys - Two-year-olds
•Ms. Evelyn has earned numerous credits of training specific to Child Development.
•She has been working with children for 3 years in a professional setting.
•As a teacher, Ms. Evelyn loves teaching the children new things and watching them grow every day.
•Ms. Evelyn’s favorite season is Fall because the leaves change colors and the weather gets colder. She also loves winter and the snow.
•Her favorite activities outside of Goddard are going camping with her family, road trips when the weather is nice, and anything outdoors.

Sara, Lead Teacher Monkeys - Two-year-olds
• Ms. Sara is pursuing her associate's degree in Early Childhood Education and hopes to continue on towards a degree in Special Education.
• She has worked in Early Childhood Education for over 5 years.
• As a teacher, Ms. Sara enjoys learning from her students and seeing them meet developmental milestones. She enjoys being a part of children achieving their goals.
• Ms. Sara's favorite season is Fall because of the changing of the leaves, the colors. She also enjoys pumpkins and scarves.
• Her favorite activity outside of Goddard spending time with her family, watching movies, cooking and outdoor activities such as camping, hiking and traveling.

Candice, Lead Teacher Foxes - Preschool
• Ms. Candice earned her Bachelor's degree in Family and Child Studies from CSULB as well as her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education.
• She has over 6 years teaching experience in Early Childhood Education.
• As a teacher, Ms. Candice enjoys watching children learn and grow.
• Ms. Candice's favorite season is Fall because she loves Halloween and the changing of the seasons.
• Outside of work, she enjoys going running.

• Ms. Loreal received her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Cincinnati.
• She has teaching experience in Early Childhood Education.
• As a teacher, Ms. Loreal likes that children are so excited about life and find joy in simple things.
• Ms. Loreal's favorite season is Fall because she loves the temperature and the way the trees look as well as the smells brought about in Fall.
• Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family.

• Ms. Renee is in the process of earning her Child Development Associate Credential. She has also earned numerous credits of training specific to Child Development.
• She has been working with children for over 17 years.
• As a teacher, Ms. Renee loves helping each child in her class to realize their potential.
• Ms. Renee’s favorite season is Spring because the days are longer, and the temperature is neither too hot or too cold.
• Her favorite activity outside of Goddard is spending time with her daughters and family.

• Ms. Paula studied Psychology at the University of California Berkley. She has also earned several credits of training specific to Child Development.
• She has been working with children for 24 years.
• As a teacher, Ms. Paula enjoys watching the children learn and playing a role in their development.
• Ms. Paula’s favorite season is Spring because the days are longer and warmer, and flowers are blooming.
• Her favorite activity outside of Goddard is attending musicals.

• Ms. Jackson earned her Post Graduate Degree in Human Resources. She has also earned numerous credits of training specific to Child Development

• As a teacher, Ms. Jackson loves being able to make a difference in children’s lives.
• Ms. Jackson’s favorite season is Spring because it is the time of year when everything in nature is changing and promising new life and new hope.
• Her favorite activity outside of Goddard is spending time with family and friends, as well as shopping.

Mr Mark, Lead Teacher Eagles - Pre-Kindergarten
• Mr. Mark earned his Child Development Associate Certification along with his Business Management Degree from Rockford Business College.
• He has been working with children since 1987.
• As a teacher, Mr. Mark loves to watch the children grow and learn, especially seeing their excitement when the children achieve new skills.
• Mr. Mark’s favorite season is Fall because the cooler temperatures. He also likes watching the changing colors of the Nevada region.
• His favorite activity outside of Goddard is hiking. He loves to hike the Pacific Crest Trails.

Amanda, Assistant Teacher Penguins - One-year-olds
• Ms. Amanda studied Sociology at the university of Utah.
• She has over years of experience working with young children as a nanny.
•As a teacher, Ms. Amanda enjoys the moment when a child learns a new skill and their face lights up with joy and confidence.
• Ms. Amanda's favorite season is Spring because she loves the rain and it reminds her of the time she spent living in England.
• Her favorite activity outside of Goddard is running, hiking, or anything outdoors, especially in the mountains.

• Ms. Kristel has earned numerous credits of training specific to Child Development.
• She has been working with children for 1 year in a professional setting. She also has experience babysitting.
• As a teacher, Ms. Kristel enjoys being a part of children’s growth and them learning new things.
• Ms. Kristel’s favorite season is Summer because there are more fun activities available to participate in.
• Her favorite activities outside of Goddard are going on mini road trips, shopping and going on sushi dates with her husband.

Pia, Assistant Teacher Penguins - One-year-olds
• Ms. Pia studied communications at St. Paul University in the Philippines.
• She has experience teaching most ages in Early Childhood Education and most recently has been an assistant teacher in both infant and toddlers classrooms.
• As a teacher, Ms. Pia loves it when children's eyes light up when they learn something new.
• Ms. Pia's favorite season is Autumn because she enjoys the colors and cooler weather.
• Her favorite activity outside of Goddard is crafting, photography, and find new restaurants.

Cristina, Assistant Teacher Pandas - One-year-olds
• Ms. Cristina earned her Bachelor of Art in Marketing Management, a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and attended the Mandarin Language Academy.
• She has 2 years of experience teaching kindergarten as well as 2 years teaching English for Early Learners.
• As a teacher, Ms. Cristina loves the children’s positivity and happiness they share with each other and their unique behavior.
• Ms. Cristina’s favorite season is Summer because she enjoys the sun and doing outdoor activities.
• Her favorite activities outside of Goddard are to stay outside when the weather is nice and do activities or gather with friends and families.

• Ms. Daisy is a graduate of Carson High School.
• She has two years of experience in Early Childhood Education with multiple age groups.
• As a teacher, Ms. Daisy loves to watch children grow and learn and feels that they are so much fun.
• Ms. Daisy’s favorite season is Autumn because she loves the change in weather and enjoys visiting pumpkin patches.
• Her favorite activities outside of Goddard are going on hikes, being active, and exploring new places.

•Ms. Akhtar has received her Bachelor's degree in Education.
• She has worked with children ages 4-6 for over 30 years.
•Ms. Akhtar feels that teaching is all about sharing your knowledge with others. She loves teaching because she enjoys making a difference in someone's life every single day.
•Her favorite season is winter because she does not like hot weather.
•Outside of work, she enjoys singing, dancing, and playing.

Destiny, Resource Resource Teacher
• Ms. Destiny received her Associate's degree in Behavioral and Social Sciences and her Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from California State University East Bay.
• She has volunteer experience working with young children and families and as childcare attendant.
• Ms. Destiny loves how authentic, loving, caring, and kind children are. She also enjoys having a significant and positive impact on their lives.
• Her favorite season is Fall because her birthday is in October and she loves the changing colors of the leaves.
• Outside of Goddard, Ms. Destiny enjoys spending time and playing games with her three little sisters and parents.

Erika, Resource Substitute/Resource Teacher
•Ms. Erika earned her certificate of completion for Administrative Medical/Dental Assistant at the Nevada Career Academy. She has also earned several credits of training specific to Child Development
•She has been working with children for over 15 years in different capacities, such as, working with foster children, nanny, and children’s ministry.
•As a teacher, Ms. Erika loves being able to help children learn new things and having a positive impact on their lives. She also loves that they help her find her “inner child” every day.
•Ms. Erika’s favorite season is Spring because it’s full of life! She loves taking walks and smelling fresh cut grass and seeing all the beauty Spring brings.
•Her favorite activity outside of Goddard is taking walks, having barbecues with family and friends, going to church, camping and taking her kids swimming.

• Ms. Kelly received her high school diploma from McQueen High School.
• She has experience working with young children as a nanny.
• Ms. Kelly enjoys listening to children and adapting her teaching style to fit their individual needs.
• Her favorite season is Summer because she likes to do outside activities.
• Outside of Goddard, Ms. Kelly likes to take walks on the beach.

Milena, Resource Resource Teacher
• Ms. Milena received her Master's in Music from UNLV and a Bachelor of Music degree from the Bulgarian Music Academy.
• She has experience working with children of all ages as a private cello and piano instructor as well as experience working for WCSD as a music teacher. She has also worked with children ages 2 through 6 in an early childhood setting.
• As a teacher, Ms. Milana enjoys teaching children new things, words, songs and motor skills.
• Ms. Milena's favorite season is Summer because she enjoys traveling to Europe, outdoor activities such as going to the beach, and long hours of daylight.
• Her favorite activity outside of work is traveling to explore new places and spending time with her son, husband, and friends.
