Goddard School Pre-K and Kindergarten Graduates Are Eligible to apply for a $10,000 College Scholarship.

THE ANTHONY A. MARTINO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Anthony A. Martino Memorial Scholarship is a $10,000 scholarship awarded to a senior in high school who was graduated from The Goddard School and who demonstrates the work ethic and perseverance that exemplifies Martino's commitment to his career, family and community.

SCHOLARSHIP RULES AND CRITERIA

The applicant must meet all the following criteria: 


• Be a graduate of a Goddard School pre-k or kindergarten program. Goddard Systems, Inc. (GSI) may verify the information the applicant provides;
• Be a high school senior who is a United States citizen, a permanent resident or a non-U.S. citizen living legally in the United States;
• Provide a 30- to 120-second video addressing the question of how the Goddard School experience influenced the applicant’s career path or education;

o Videos should be filmed horizontally;
o Video size should be no larger than 1920 x 1080 pixels;
o Videos longer than 120 seconds will not be considered and will make the corresponding application incomplete;
o We strongly recommend not compressing the video;
o To submit your video,
       • Upload the original file to WeTransfer;
       • Click 'Add your files' to upload your video file;
       • Click the blue circle with three dots next to the 'Transfer' button and click 'Get transfer link;'

       • Click the 'Get a link' button;
       • Click the 'Copy link' link button and include the link in your email with your application.

• Ensure that the written essay and video submitted with each application are the original work of the applicant and do not contain the work, including the intellectual property of others, such as non-original music;
• Submit transcripts that each indicate a cumulative GPA from all high schools attended with the application.


Scholarship SpecIFICATIONS


• The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the funds available and the applicant’s eligibility;
• The awards are for one year only;
• The recipient must use the scholarship to study or train at an accredited college or university of the recipient’s choice, including vocational and technical training programs or associate and bachelor’s degree programs;
• Relatives of GSI employees, Goddard School franchisees or Goddard School employees are not eligible;
• The scholarship finalists will be selected based on their academic records, participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, expressed goals and aspirations and the videos they submit;
• Financial need is not considered;
• The decisions of the scholarship committee relating to the selections are final, regardless of the results of any social media campaigns or activities, and information relating to the committee’s evaluation of any particular applicant will be confidential;
• The applicant agrees to accept the final decision of the scholarship committee;
• The scholarship recipient will be selected without regard to race, age, gender, religion, political beliefs, employment status or any other factor that could constitute unfair or illegal discrimination;
• The winning scholarship recipient will be selected and announced on June 10, 2021;
• The applications and other parts of the submitted application packages will not be returned to the applicants.


Goddard Systems, Inc. reserves the right to review the conditions and procedures of this scholarship and to make changes, which may include the termination of the scholarship, at any time.

Application Submission


A completed scholarship application must be received via email to scholarships@goddardsystems.com by April 30, 2021.


Incomplete applications (applications that do not have a completed and signed application, written essay, video essay and transcripts) will not be considered.


Please email completed scholarship applications, transcripts and link to your video to scholarships@goddardsystems.com with the subject line ‘AAMS Submission – [Your Name]’.


Please notify GSI promptly if any of the information submitted on or with the application changes after its submission.
