Tricia, Owner THE GODDARD SCHOOL OF WYOMISSING FRANCHISEE-
Trish McKay became involved with The Goddard School® in 1996 when Trish became the one year old Teacher. She came with a passion for young children along with a BS in Home Economics Education and her PA teaching certification. As their passion for the quality education of young children grew so did their roles in the School. In 1999, Trish became the Director of the facility. As her two girls were born, their passion for young children and providing a school of excellence grew stronger. She purchased this School in 2005 when the previous owner retired. Since becoming the owner of the School she has poured her passion into creating a remarkable, educational, safe and healthy learning environment for her students and staff.

Jeni, Director EDUCATION DIRECTOR-
Jeni Shade joined the Goddard family in the summer of 2007. She holds her Bachelor's degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education from Kutztown University. Jeni worked for our School several years ago as a Teacher. She brings many years of experience as a Director and knowledge of young children. She spends time observing teachers' lessons as well as doing the administrative tasks in the office. Jeni also helps our teachers fine tune the curriculum in order to provide the best education to the children. She loves young children which is evident when you see the work she does at Goddard on a daily basis!

Debra, Assistant Director ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT-
Ms. Debbie joined our Goddard Family in December 2003. Ms. Debbie holds her Child Development Associate's degree. Previously, she cared for children in an in-home setting and has been in childcare for over 30 years. She provides our students with a strong framework of love and discipline. She is our super organizer, keeping all of the needed paperwork up to date and filled.

Ashley, Lead Teacher INFANT PROGRAM-
Ms. Ashley became part of the Goddard family in the fall of 2006. Ms. Ashley holds her Occupational Child Development Certificate from Berks Career and Technical Center with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. She is nearly finished with her Child Development Associate certification.She brought with her several years experience working with children after being a student in the childcare program at Berks County Vo-tech. Ashley loves young children and is always finding new ways to encourage the children to talk. She also develops fun learning experiences which encourage the children to discover new things. You can always find Ashley with a song on her lips and a dance in her step, and the children love joining in with her.

Charlene, Lead Teacher TWEENIES PROGRAM-
Ms. Charlene joined our Goddard family in the winter of 2020. Ms. Charlene is the lead teacher in our Tweenies classroom. Ms. Charlene has her Child Development Associates. She has been working in the early childhood field for over twenty-five years. She always worked as an assistant or a teacher in a one year old classroom. Ms. Charlene actually worked here at Goddard in the nineties and is excited to return to her first early childhood family. Ms. Charlene loves to create fun learning experiences for her students to explore. She creates a variety of homemade materials for them to use to get their wiggles out. She believes that children are loving little people. Ms. Charlene loves to ensure that her students have a foundation of kindness as they learn from her how to be nice to their friends. She encourages their independence by having them complete tasks at varying levels across the learning domains. She strives to provide a safe, healthy, caring learning environment where her students thrive.

Marissa, Lead Teacher FIRST STEPS PROGRAM-
Ms. Marissa joined our Goddard Family in the summer of 2014. She has her BS in Psychology from Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, MD. She is currently attending Jones International University to complete her Master’s in Education. Ms. Marissa believes that children are happiest and most ready to learn when their needs are met in a safe environment. She desires to help children learn by creating fun learning experiences and to be excited about the hands on discoveries that they make that lead to earning.

Sara, Lead Teacher TODDLER PROGRAM-
Ms. Sara Sara joined our Goddard School Family in the fall of 2004. Ms. Sara has earned her Child Development Associates. Ms. Sara is excited about mentoring her Toddler students while assisting them in making discoveries that lead to learning. She believes that when she is having a good time the children will want to join in with her and in turn will learn so much by having fun. She also believes that her students are eager to learn good manners so she encourages them to use their words to express good manners all throughout their days. She believes that an active, involved teacher will help her students stay focused. Ms. Sara likes to create hands on fun learning experiences through the center activities that she creates while writing her lesson plans.

Elisa, Lead Teacher PRESCHOOL 1 PROGRAM-
Ms. Elisa joined our Goddard family in the fall of 2018. Ms. Elisa is the Lead teacher in our Preschool 1 Classroom. Ms. Elisa has 30 Early Childhood Education credits from East Stroudsburg University and is nearly finished with her master’s degree. Ms. Elisa has experience as an assistant and as a lead teacher in other early childhood centers. Ms. Elisa believes that children are beautiful and unique. She believes that children are capable of accomplishing anything. She desires to create fun learning experiences that inspire her students to explore. She believes that when she finds each child unique way of learning that they will learn new things. She believes that the most important part of her job is to ensure that every students know that they matter, that they are important, that they are loved, and that they have great potential.

Linda, Lead Teacher PRESCHOOL 2 PROGRAM-
Ms. Linda joined our Goddard family in the Fall of 1999. Ms. Ms Linda graduated from Penn State with a degree in health and physical education. She also hold her private school academic teaching certificate. Ms. Linda holds The Goddard School Teacher of the Year 2013. Miss Linda is extremely creative and believes that children thrive in learning when there are numerous fun learning experiences. She loves music and movement activities and can create an activity to enhance any theme with little or no warning. She is our in-house songwriter. It is easy to see why the children are always engaged in learning with Ms. Linda. Ms. Linda previously won The Goddard School Teacher Award.

Christopher, Lead Teacher PRE-KINDERGARTEN 2 PROGRAM-
Mr. Chris joined our Goddard family in the winter of 2018. Mr. Chris is the lead teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten 2 Classroom. Mr. Chris has his BS in Elementary Education with a specialization in Social Studies & Math. He worked as a reading & math specialist in a local school district for two years. He worked at a summer camp. He has thirteen years’ experience in theater and was a children’s theater director for four years. Mr. Chris believes that children love the fun of play. He believes that children are very creative given the proper environment. So Mr. Chris enjoys fostering learning by creating fun learning experiences. He believes that children learn in Individual ways so he provides many different opportunities to learn in different ways.

Connie, Lead Teacher SCHOOL AGE & PRE-KINDERGARTEN PROGRAM-
Ms. Constance returned to our Goddard Family in the summer of 2012. In the morning and the afternoon she is the lead teacher in our school age classroom as well as our bus driver. During the middle of the day, she works as a teacher in our Pre-Kindergarten classrooms. Connie has earned her Child Development Associates and has a physical education certification for children. Ms. Connie believes that her students learn best through hands on experiences. She believes that students thrive when they are busy and that physical exercise is a must to maintain a strong brain as well as body. Ms. Connie looks forward to providing thematic activities as well to engage the students in fun learning experiences.

Kaitlyn, Assistant Teacher Infant Program-
Ms. Kaitlyn joined our Goddard Family in the summer of 2020. Ms. Katie is the assistant teacher in the Infant classroom. Ms. Katie is attending Southern New Hampshire University on-line to finish her BS in psychology. Ms. Katie has worked in nursing homes for years and enjoyed working with the elderly. Since working with the 3-5-year olds in her dad’s “Dean’s Gibson’s Basketball Academy” and having her daughter, she realized how much she enjoys being with young children. She is a care giver and nurturer at heart. Ms. Katie really enjoys working with infants as they are full of Potential. She enjoys engaging with them in fun learning experiences as she plays with them and talks to them as she meets their physical needs with love and care. She believes that even the youngest of her students should receive a high-quality education. She feels that working at Goddard, provides the perfect continuum of learning standards that supports this goal. Ms. Katie fills her conversations with infants with smiles and positivity.

Karly, Assistant Teacher TWEENIES PROGRAM-
Ms. Karly joined our Goddard family in the summer of 2017. Ms. Karly graduated from Conestoga Christian School. She has previous experience providing child care in a gym and at her school’s preschool. She loves working with Infants as she meets their needs and teaches them as she plays with them. She enjoys assisting in implementing the fun learning experiences especially playing outside with them. Ms. Karly believes it is utmost importance to keep her students healthy and safe.

Janie, Assistant Teacher PRESCHOOL 2 PROGRAM-
Ms. Janie joined our Goddard School family in the summer of 2019. Ms. Janie is an assistant teacher in our Preschool 2 classroom. Ms. Janie has worked with children in a daycare setting for over two years and was an employee at another Goddard. Ms Janie believes that students need to have a safe environment where they can grow and learn. She loves providing fun learning experiences with a variety of activities as she believes that each child is unique and has a different way to learn. She believes that a teacher should have fun as she guides her students on their educational journey because then they will have fun as well.

Madelynn, Assistant Teacher INFANT PROGRAM-
Ms. Madelynn joined our Goddard family in the winter of 2020. Ms. Maddy is a teacher resource working where there is need in the afternoons and all day on Wednesdays, Ms. Maddy is a student at Alvernia University where she is studying to be an occupational therapist. Ms. Maddy believes that children are honest and sweet. Ms. Maddy believes that a teachers first priority is to ensure that her students feel loved, happy, and secure because their teacher cares for the physical, social, and emotional needs. She has learned the benefits of play & therapeutic movement while at school and is excited to play with her students as they are engaged in their explorations of the fun learning experiences that they have at school. Ms. Maddy believes that learning about each child’s individual learning skill is critical in her supporting them in their educational explorations

Joanne, Assistant Teacher TEACHER RESOURCE-
Ms. Joanne joined our Goddard Family in the winter of 2013. Ms. Jo has 7 years experience working as an assistant teacher in an early childhood setting. Ms. Jo believes that children are excited to learn. She believes that children learn in different and creative ways so as a teacher she needs to provide a wide range of creative, fun learning experiences for them to explore. She loves to use music and movement to energize them and allow them to creatively express themselves. Ms. Jo encourages her students to help out and to be responsible as it gives them self confidence! Ms. Jo also is our school Yoga instructor.

Kelly, Assistant Teacher GET SET PROGRAM-
Ms. Kelly joined The Goddard School in the winter of 2020. Ms. Kelly is the assistant teacher in Get Set. She is a student at Reading Area Community College with an Early Childhood major. Ms. Kelly holds her Occupational Child Development Certificate from Berks Career and Technical Center with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. She has nearly two years experience working in the early childhood field. Ms. Kelly likes to engage with her students as they are explore fun learning experiences. She believes that she can support them as they grow and develop. She asks open ended questions that lead them to new discoveries. She believes that when they feel secure that they will be happy and have a positive educational experience.

Nicole, Assistant Teacher TODDLER PROGRAM-
Ms. Nicole joined our Goddard School Family in the summer of 2016. She has taken Early Childhood and Child Development classes. She is the assistant teacher in the Toddler classroom. Ms. Nicole believes that children are able to anything that they believe in so the teacher’s job is to instill confidence in them. She loves being engaged with them as they play in fun learning experiences. She believes as she meets her student’s needs and provides a loving, caring, stable environment that they will be able to learn while having a blast. Ms. Nicole loves spending time with family.

Beatriz, Assistant Teacher PRE-KINDERGARTEN 1 PROGRAM-
Ms. Beatriz joined our Goddard family in the summer of 2018. She has more than two years of experience working in a daycare as an assistant teacher. She attended college in Illinois for Early Childhood Education and is pursuing her education. Ms. Beatriz wants to create a nurturing environment that has a structured routine where children can safely explore fun learning experiences. She believes that students are full of potential and she strives to get to know them as individuals so that she can guide them to learning in the way that fits their individualized needs.

Samantha, Assistant Teacher Pre-Kindergarten Program-
Ms. Samantha joined our Goddard family in the summer of 2020. Ms. Sam is the assistant teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten classes in the morning. She is attending Alvernia University as a fifth-year student in order to obtain her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. She did clinical rotations in local school districts. She also worked for a summer at another Goddard School. Ms. Sam believes that children are eager to learn and as such learn new things every day. She enjoys engaging in hands on fun learning experiences as she explores and plays with her students. She looks for the child who needs encouragement or support and provides that so that everyone has the equal opportunity for success.

Elizabeth, Assistant Teacher SCHOOL AGE PROGRAMs-
Ms. Lizzy joined our Goddard School Family in the summer of 2016. Ms. Lizzy graduated with a AA in Psychology from RACC. She is currently a Psychology major at Albright University Ms. Lizzy was a nanny for two summers and a Big Sister tutor at her local elementary school. Ms. Lizzy believes that children are precious and fun to be around. Ms. Lizzy desires all of her student’s to reach their individual potential. She believes that if a teacher passionately engages in fun learning experiences that their students will learn to love learning as they will have fun right along with them. She had a teacher who inspired her with his passion for art and history and she wants to be an inspiration to her students.

Morgan, Assistant Teacher School Age Program-
Ms. Morgan joined our Goddard family in the fall of 2018. Ms. Morgan is an Elementary Education major at Kutztown University. She has experience as a nanny and has taken five course related to children. Ms. Morgan believes that children are curious and love to explore the world around them. She loves exploring with them and guiding their play to learning by implementing fun learn experiences and asking open ended questions. She likes to encourage independence as she allows them to explore in their own unique and intelligent ways in a variety of centers and activities that meets their individual needs.

Taylor, Assistant Teacher SCHOOL AGE PROGRAM-
Ms. Taylor joined our Goddard family in the summer of 2019. Ms. Taylor is an Elementary Education Major at Penn State Berks. She will be an assistant teacher in our school age program on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She believes that children are eager to learn. She desires to provide fun learning experiences that allow for hands on exploration that will lead her students to new discoveries.She likes engaging in exploration with her students and asking open ended questions that require her students to think. She loves when it clicks and they learn something new thus growing and prospering. She believes that children are our future and that they will shape their world.
