Assistant Teacher for Infant & Toddler Classrooms

Assistant Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for helping to establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally, an assistant teacher is responsible for working with a lead teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty.

Qualifications:
The ability to understand and support the education program using “learning through play” philosophy;
The ability to interact closely with children at their level;
The ability to keep children within sight and sound supervision at all times;
The ability to change children’s diapers and/or assist in toileting (where necessary);
The ability to communicate effectively and professionally with school personnel, children and parents; and
The ability to comply in all respects with all applicable laws and regulations relating to childcare.

Educational Requirements:
An assistant teacher must meet one of the following-
A private academic teaching certificate for nursery school through kindergarten or early childhood education;
Proof of the teacher's current enrollment in a CDA credentialing program;
Proof of the teacher's current enrollment in an accredited associate’s or bachelor’s degree program in early childhood education or a related field.

Flexible hours - (8 am to 1 pm) or (1 am to 6 pm)

Lead Teacher - Full Time

We are inviting application for qualified and experienced Lead Pre -Kindergarten Teachers. We value teachers with the highest levels of professionalism and dedication to the field of early childhood education and those who instill a life-long love of learning among children.

Responsibilities:
Establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
Using creativity and the Goddard Developmental Guidelines as the basis for developing unique lesson plans
Supporting each child’s social and emotional development
Establishing positive and effective family relations
Working together with an Assistant Teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Child Development
Bachelor’s Degree in related field with a minimum of 18 hours in education
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
