Educational Advisory Board


The Goddard School’s Educational Advisory Board (EAB) is a knowledgeable group of educators, researchers and experts in child development, early learning, technology integration, brain development, parent engagement and health and nutrition. The EAB evolves and shapes The Goddard School’s play-based learning program, putting research into action and empowering children to become school-ready, career-ready and life-ready. 


Craig Bach 2018


Craig Bach, Ph.D. - Learning Assessment, Learning Analytics

An experienced educational researcher, Dr. Bach proudly serves as the vice president of education for The Goddard School. He also served as Drexel University’s vice provost for institutional research, assessment and effectiveness.

Helen Hadani 2018  

Helen Hadani, Ph.D. – Creative Thinking, Child Development

An expert in early childhood and creativity development, Dr. Hadani helps design and evaluate products that promote children’s curiosity and love of learning. As a fellow at the Brookings Institution, Helen leads the Playful Learning Landscapes project—an initiative that brings together the fields of developmental science and placemaking with the goal of improving child and community outcomes.

Jennifer Jipson, Ph.D. - STEAM in Early Learning, Learning outside the Classroom

Dr. Jipson is a professor of child development at Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo. She draws on the latest scientific research to develop learning materials and environments and serves as a consultant with children’s museums as well as toy and digital media companies.

Jack Maypole, M.D. - Pediatric Health and Well-Being, Public Health and Policy

A well-respected authority in the field of pediatrics, Dr. Maypole is a clinical associate professor of pediatrics at Boston University School of Medicine and department vice chair and director of the Comprehensive Care Program at Boston Medical Center.


Kyle Pruett, M.D. - Family Engagement and Parenting, Social-Emotional Development

Through his groundbreaking work in child psychiatry, Dr. Pruett has become an internationally known expert on children, family relationships and fathering. He is a clinical professor of child psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine and is the author of award-winning books Me, Myself and I and Partnership Parenting.

Lee Scott - Curriculum and Enrichment Programs, Professional Development

Ms. Scott has more than 25 years of experience in early childhood education services, professional development, after-school programs, assessment of young children and supplemental educational programs. She currently chairs the EAB.
