Our Teachers

Shauna opened The Goddard School in Redmond Ridge on February 25, 2008. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from Gonzaga University in Special Education with a minor in Psychology. She returned to City University to receive a Master's Degree in Reading Literacy. As a teacher and mother of two, she is dedicated to providing a nurturing educational environment in which each individual gains the confidence to explore and discover their world. She strives to offer the BEST Early Childhood Program around the Redmond area. She lives in the Redmond Ridge community with her husband Jeff and their 2 amazing children.

Tina has been with Goddard as a Teacher since 2011, as a Director since 2014, and currently an On-Site Franchise Owner. Tina is a life-long native of the area and is excited to raise her young boys in the same place she grew up. She has a degree in both Science and Education, from the University of Washington. It is an honor, a privilege, and a tremendous responsibility to care for children, and that is why she is excited for the opportunity to continue to provide the community with a premium Early Childhood Education experience.

Haley joined the team at The Goddard School on December 20th, 2021. She has over 10 years of experience working with children in various capacities. She currently holds an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Bellevue College and she is currently a student with Washington State University, working towards her BA in Human Development. Ms. Haley previously taught here at The Goddard School between 2014 - 2017. She loves providing engaging activities and teachable moments to the children every day. Her favorite color is green and Fall is her favorite season because she loves watching the pretty the leaves falling and the temperature is perfect. She enjoys fishing, hiking, hunting and gardening in her spare time.

Sharon joined The Goddard School – Redmond Ridge on June 14th 2021. She holds an A.A. in Early Childhood Education, a B.A. in Business and an M.B.A. from Baylor University. She has over 15 years of experience working in Early Childhood with a wide variety of age groups and positions. She admires children’s fresh look on the world and their optimism. She also relishes their sense of wonder and building them up to be confident learners and good people of the world. Her favorite part about teaching is helping a child making a new connection. Fall is her favorite time of year because it is harvest time and a time to be thankful for the abundance of the Earth. She loves the smells, the change of weather, farms, and the colors! Outside of work, Sharon enjoys walking outdoors, gardening, reading and learning.

Kyla joined The Goddard School - Redmond Ridge on July 17th, 2023. She has over 8 years of Teaching experience and holds a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She enjoys working with children because she loves showing children that they matter! She also loves seeing children learn from each other. Her favorite time of year is the Fall because she loves Fall sports and the beautiful leaves. Outside of work she enjoys cycling, reading, soccer, and playing with her cat.

Andrea began teaching at The Goddard School on September 25, 2017. She holds an associates degree from Everett Community College in Education. She was previously a lead teacher in our Foxes Class from 2017-2021 and is excited for her career to grow with The Goddard School of Redmond Ridge! Fall is her favorite time of year because she enjoys the apple cider and reading by the fire! In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading and talking walks outside.

Mara has been a Goddard Teacher since 2023! She is currently pursuing a degree in Education with the University of Arizona. She has 5+ years of experience working with children in various capacities. She enjoys getting to explore children's different interests and curiosities, and learning how they all see the world. Her favorite part about teaching is getting to learn alongside the children, getting to watch them learn and grow. Outside of work Mara enjoys hiking or being in nature, reading and writing, and being with family.

Sonja has been a Goddard Teacher since 2022! Sonja has previous experience working with child in childcare settings and babysitting. She is also currently taking Early Childhood Education courses. Her favorite part about working with children is getting to watch them grow so fast - right before your eyes and her favorite part about teaching is when you get to watch a child learn and execute a new skill. When she is not working, she enjoys working with animals and riding horses.

Leslie has been a Goddard Teacher since 2024! Leslie has 3+ years of experience working with children and excited to working with the little ones in our Infant Classroom. She enjoys working with children, especially the chance to watch them grow and learn new skills. Her favorite part about teaching is knowing that she is making a difference. Her favorite season is Fall because of the cozy feeling and because Halloween is right around the corner. Outside of work, Leslie enjoys watching movies, going thrifting, and going for runs.

Sophia has been a Goddard Teacher since 2021! She has 7+ years of experience teaching in a wide variety of positions. She holds a Child Development Associates degree and is currently pursuing her WA State ECE Teaching Certificate. She enjoys working with children because she enjoys watching them learn new things every day and she also enjoys making learning fun for all the children in her care. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying the summer sunshine.

Adara has been a Goddard Teacher since 2023! She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education & Special Education through BYU. She has 4+ of experience teaching in a variety of education settings. What she enjoys most about working with children (other then their hugs and smiles) is the light in their eyes when they learn something new. Her favorite season is Spring because of all the beautiful flowers. Outside of work, Adara enjoys picking berries, reading to her children, and playing games. Toni has been a Goddard Teacher since 2021! She has multiple years of experience teaching in the Toddler age group and she is currently pursuing her Child Development Associates degree. Toni enjoys working with children because she enjoys watching them grow and develop new skills. Her favorite part about teaching is getting to interact with the children every day and help them expand their imaginations. Toni is a skilled artist and enjoys photography and art outside of work.

Saday has been a Goddard Teacher since 2024! She has 4+ years of experience working with children as a Behavior Technician, Teacher, and Nanny. She enjoys getting to know each child’s personality and her favorite part about teaching is watching the children overcome new challenges. Her favorite children’s author is Shel Silverstein. Her favorite time of year is the Fall because she enjoys the weather and the holidays during that season. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling!

Alex has been a Goddard Teacher since 2024! She has a background working with Toddlers and Preschool age students, and is excited to connect with the students and families in her classroom. She enjoys working with children because she enjoys seeing how unique and special each child is in their own way. She loves the colors of the leaves in the Fall and the cool brisk air. Outside of work she enjoys working on cars, going on rides/drives and spending time with family.

Peggy has 2+ years of experience working with children in a variety of capacities. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree. Peggy loves getting to know children and their families and really enjoys getting the chance to watch them learn and grow. Her favorite part about teaching is getting to see that "Ah ha!" moment. Spring is her favorite season because it feels like a fresh start and the sun comes back after the chill of winter. Outside of work Peggy enjoys all things’ music; from shopping for records, going to shows, and performing at open mic nights.

Kayla has been a Goddard Teacher since 2022! She is currently pursuing her degree in Early Childhood Education at Lake Washington Institute of Technology and has 4+ years of experience working with children in a variety of capacities. She enjoys working with children because she loves watching them grow and develop into their own person. Her favorite part about teaching is seeing how interested and curious the kids are in what they are learning. Her favorite time of year is Fall because of the beautiful colors of the trees and the cozy atmosphere. Outside of work, she enjoys adventuring outside in nature, drawing, swimming, and singing.

Suri has 4+ years of experience working in a local church childcare. Her favorite part about working with children is their silly sense of humor. She enjoys teaching because she gets to appreciate their sweet smiles. Her favorite time of year is Winter because she loves hot chocolate! Outside of work, she enjoys any opportunity to get outside and enjoy the fresh air.

Sayana has been a Goddard Teacher since 2020! She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Central Washington University. Her favorite part of teaching is getting to experience how children learn and grasp new concepts. She enjoys working with children because she gets to watch each child grow into their own personality. Her favorite time of year is Springtime because her birthday is in the spring and there are so many fun colors! When she is not at work, Sayana enjoys hanging out with friends & family, painting, and baking cookies.

Victoria has been a Goddard Teacher since 2024! She has 3+ years of experience as both a Co-Teacher & Lead Teacher teaching children in Preschool & Pre-K. She enjoys working with children because the are always teaching her new things. When she is not working, Victoria enjoys spending time with family, going on trips, and drawing. She loves the colors of Autumn and the cozy weather that comes with it.

Andrea has been a Goddard Teacher since 2020! She has achieved her Bachelor’s Degree in Literacy, Learning, & Leadership from the University of Arizona. She has been working with children in a variety of capacities since 2018. Her favorite part about working with children is getting to see each child grow and grasp new concepts. Summer is her favorite time of year because she loves the warm weather and going on vacation with her family. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends & family and boating/wake surfing on Lake Sammamish.

Deb has been a Goddard Teacher since 2019! She is currently pursuing her Child Development Associates Degree. She has an 8-year-old daughter of her own and she has volunteered frequently at her Elementary School. She loves interacting with children and she enjoys encouraging children to explore! Spring is one her favorite seasons because there are flowers everywhere, longer days, and warmer weather. Outside of work, hiking, photography, baking, reading, and spending time with her family.

Megan has been a Goddard Teacher since 2023! She has 4+ years of experience teaching and she is continuing her education in ECE. She enjoys working with children because she appreciates getting to help them achieve their milestones. Her favorite part about teaching is the fun crafts! Her favorite time of year is the Summer because of the sunshine! Outside of work she enjoys music, sports, and Star Wars!

Ash has 3+ years of experience working with children as a camp counselor, life guard, and swim instructor. Their favorite part about working with children is getting to playing and build relationships. Summer is their favorite season because they get to swim, hike, explore the outdoors, and enjoy the wonderful weather. Outside of work, they enjoy live music, being outside, and spending time with friends.

Evelyn has been a Goddard Teacher since June 2024. Evelyn holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from Bellevue College and she has over 20+ years of experience teaching Preschool & Pre-K. She enjoys reading with and watching the children in her care grow and learn. Her favorite part about teaching is getting to spend time listening to their stories. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Jacy has been a Goddard Teacher since 2024. Jacy holds an Associates Degree and Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. She has over 4+ years of teaching experience. She enjoys working with children because of their excitement for learning and she admires their curiosity. Their favorite part about teaching is seeing the progress and growth of their students over the school year. Their favorite time of year because they enjoy Fall & Spring for the crisp air and the temperate weather. Outside of work they enjoy doing outdoorsy activities like swimming, hiking, and paddle boarding, as well as anything art & crafts.

Susan has 44+ years of experience working with children and hold a degree in Early Childhood Education. She enjoys working with children because of the love and joy they give back to you. She loves seeing their faces when they learn something new. Her favorite season is Fall because of the weather change and colorful leaves. Outside of work she enjoys reading a good book, walking, spending time with her family, and exploring her community.

Geena has been a Goddard Teacher since 2023! She has 6+ years of experience teaching and is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education at Bellevue College. She enjoys working with children because of their love for life and getting to witness their growth through the year. Her favorite part about teaching is the students' excitement and those fun "Ah Ha!" moments. Her favorite children's book is "If You Give A Mouse A Cookie". Outside of work she enjoys reading, baking, seeing family, and Pilates.

Meghan has been a Goddard Teacher since 2023! She has 4+ years of experience teaching and holds an Early Childhood Education degree from the University of Washington. She enjoys working with children because they are filled with so much wonder and joy, and she enjoys seeing the world through their eyes. Her favorite part about teaching is getting to help each child pursue their interests and then seeing their joy when they have succeeded. Outside of work, Meghan enjoys reading, videogames, swimming, and D&D. Fall is her favorite season because she likes the cool air and colorful leaves.

Phoebe has been a Goddard Teacher since 2024! She holds a degree from Evergreen State in Art Education & Psychology. Phoebe has 6+ years of experience working in Education and she really enjoys the chance to get to make a noticeable positive impact on her students. Her favorite part about teaching is getting to see the children explore their curiosity. Her favorite time of year is early Fall and late Summer. Outside of work, she enjoys art, quiet time, writing poetry, and watching documentaries.

Alexis has been a Goddard Teacher since 2023! She has 4+ years of experience babysitting and multiple years of customer service skills. She enjoys working with children because they are free-spirited and positive. Her favorite part about teaching is when her students find an activity particularly inspiring. Her favorite time of year is the Winter because of the chilly weather and the snow! Outside of work, Alexis enjoys gaming and spending time with her dog.

Bhavana has been a Goddard Teacher since 2023! She has experience volunteering in local Elementary and middle schools. She enjoys working with children because she enjoys watching them learn and grow. Her favorite part about teaching is storytelling and reading, singing songs, and helping them learn to engage with their peers. Her favorite time of year is Spring & Summer since it is bright, warm, and colorful! She also enjoys Diwali & Christmas time too! Outside of work she enjoys listening to music, watching tv with family, and catching up with friends.

John has been a Goddard Teacher since 2024! He graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Multidisciplinary Studies. John has been in Early Childhood for over 5 years, as well as tutoring students after school. His favorite color is blue and enjoys reading. He enjoys fall and the colors of all the leaves. Outside of school, John enjoys creative writing, working out and spending time with friends.

Sheri has been a Goddard Teacher since 2008! She has been a lead teacher in several of our classrooms throughout the years. She currently also functions as the school's Nutrition Coordinator. She has over 25 years of experience working with toddlers in a variety of settings. She is excited to provide and help teach healthy choices for the children in our care. Her favorite color is blue. She loves all seasons and the sights, smells, and sounds that come with each one. In her free time she enjoys photography, sewing, reading, and cross-stitch.
