Mrs Debbie
School OwnersWe are Jim and Debbie Womack, owners of the Goddard School in Chesterfield. We have been in business as Goddard School owners since June of 2002! We have two wonderful children, James and Courtney. Our experience with the Goddard School began in late 1999 and, primarily due to our children's accomplishments in Goddard, we began entertaining the idea of owning our own school. Fast forward many years later and well . . . . . . here we are! Jim left a fulfilling career with United Parcel Service after having been employed there 19 years. I myself worked with Carter Machinery and also had an excellent career with an outstanding company. I quickly realized that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to fulfill my passion to work with children. We are sincerely committed to providing only the very best to all of our children and parents. We welcome any comments or suggestions that you may have, so please let us know! -

DirectorKaren Schakel has been with the Goddard School since 2004. She has a BS in Child Development from Radford University, and has worked in the child care field for over 30 years. -
Miss Meagan
Educational DirectorMeagan joined The Goddard School in Chesterfield in 2018 as the Assistant Director. With a BS in Education and over 15 years of experience working in childcare, she is excited to be working at the Goddard school. She has become the Education Director for the school and loves to work closely with teachers and students to ensure we have the best curriculum for our little ones! -
Mrs Susan
School Age ManagerSusan joined the Goddard School in 2007. She has over 18 years of experience working with children. Susan has completed her Child Development Associate credential and has a passion for helping children of all ages. She currently runs our School-Age program including Private Kindergarten. -
Mrs Candice
Pre-KCandice has worked in childcare for over 18 years and joined The Goddard School in 2004. She received her Associate Degree in Early Child Education in May 2004. In 2007, she graduated from Mary Baldwin with a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Elementary Education. -
Mrs Savannah
Pre-KindergartenSavannah is our Pre-K teacher and has a BS in Early Childhood Education. She works with Ms. Olivia in our Wise Whales classroom where they both share a love of working with children.
