Our Goddard School Teachers

Taruna and Rahul are the owners of The Goddard School of Alexandria West and are dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. As parents of two children themselves, they understand the trust families place in their school each day. Taruna holds a Master's Degree in Health Care Management from Marymount University, while Rahul brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in business, finance, and strategic planning. He holds an MBA from George Washington University and is both a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Accountant. Together, they combine their professional expertise with a genuine passion for early childhood education to create an exceptional experience for every family. They believe in maintaining an open-door policy and are always available to listen, answer questions, and support families throughout their preschool journey. Their goal is to ensure every child feels valued.

Ms. Traleece holds the position of Program Director at the Goddard School of Alexandria. With nearly three decades of experience in education, she has worked with students of all age groups, from infants to first graders. Her career in this field has been deeply fulfilling and rewarding, as she takes great pleasure in nurturing children's development and witnessing their excitement as they explore and learn. Among her cherished children's books is "I Love You Forever" by Robert Munsch.

Ms. Adis holds the position of Director of Health and Safety and brings 34 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. She holds a Master’s in Curriculum Development, a Bachelor’s in Secondary Education, and Associate degrees in School Administration and Secondary Education. She is passionate about creating safe, nurturing environments for every child. The most rewarding part of her work is watching children grow, learn, and reach new milestones.

Ms. Brianna holds the position of Curriculum Specialist with a strong passion for Early Childhood Education. Originally from Vermont, she brings a love for learning, an adventurous spirit, and a dedication to supporting both teachers and families. She graduated with President’s and Dean’s honors with her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. The most rewarding part of her role is helping teachers create successful and meaningful classroom experiences while working with families to make children’s academic journeys memorable.

Ms. Kee-Kee is our Kitchen Manager, with over 7 years of experience in the field. She takes great pleasure in preparing delicious and nutritious meals and snacks for the children. She is also a parent of a former Goddard student.

Ms. Crystal is a lead teacher in the Infant program, with over 20 years of experience in early childhood education. She holds a CDA and is MAT certified. She finds it incredibly rewarding to help children achieve their milestones.

Ms. Latasha is a Lead Teacher in our Infant Program and has 24 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, with a specialized focus on infant care. The most rewarding part of teaching for Ms. LaTasha is watching children grow from infancy through the preschool years while building strong bonds of love and trust with both students and their families.

Ms. Malikea is a Lead Teacher in our Infant Program. She has 7 years of hands-on experience working with Infants and Toddlers and is currently pursuing her degree in child psychology. The most rewarding part of teaching for Ms. Malikea is building a strong foundation in early childhood development and care.

Ms. Kimberly is a Lead teacher in our Infant program. She has over 20 years of experience working with children and toddlers and has earned her CDA credential in Infant and Toddler education. The most rewarding part of teaching for Ms. Kim is helping children learn, grow, and overcome challenges as they develop new skills and confidence.

Ms. Shandell is a Lead Teacher in our Infant Program. She has four years of experience working with Infants and Toddlers. Ms. Shandell holds her Montessori credential and is currently pursuing her CDA in early childhood education. She loves watching children grow, reach developmental milestones, and thrive in a nurturing and loving environment.

Ms. Asmaa is a lead teacher in our Toddler program, bringing over 6 years of experience. She holds a bachelor’s degree and has expertise in Infant and Toddler care. The most rewarding part of teaching for her is watching each child reach their own individual goals.

Ms. Cristina is a Lead Teacher in our Toddler Program. She has 6 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, with a strong background in Montessori education. She holds her Montessori certification and is currently pursuing additional training to expand her knowledge and expertise in Toddler and Preschool development. The most rewarding part of teaching for Ms. Cristina is watching children grow, learn, and achieve important developmental milestones

Ms. Brittany is a lead teacher in the Two’s program with 17 years of experience in childcare. She finds it most rewarding to support children as they grow, guiding them through each stage of development and celebrating their progress.

Ms. Shantel is a lead teacher in our Two's program, with over 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. She finds true joy in watching young children learn, grow, and thrive. One of her favorite parts of the day is seeing their bright smiles as they walk through the door each morning.

Ms. Jasmine is a Lead Teacher in our Two's Program. Ms. Jasmine has 3 years of experience in the education field. Before joining our school, she worked with children of various ages and abilities, supporting students with both physical and intellectual disabilities in residential and educational settings. The most rewarding part of teaching for Ms. Jasmine is watching children grow, develop new skills, and gain confidence each day.

Ms. Erica is a Lead Teacher in our Two's Program and has extensive experience in Toddler and Two's education. She has 16 years of childcare experience and is currently pursuing her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. The most rewarding part of teaching for Ms. Erica is knowing that she can make a positive difference in a child's life

Ms. Helen is a lead teacher in the Bridge program, with over 9 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. She has expertise in Two's and Preschool education and takes great joy in making a positive impact on each child, appreciating their unique qualities.

Ms. Adrianna is a Lead Teacher in our Bridge program. She has over 15 years of experience in the field of Early Childhood Education . She brings a strong, experienced background with a specialized focus on Two's and Preschool education. The most rewarding part of teaching for her is being a part of children’s growth as they transition through different developmental stages and advance in their personal journeys.

Ms. Lizett is a lead teacher in the Preschool program, with over 20 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. She finds it most rewarding to contribute to her students' educational journeys and to inspire their curiosity, confidence, and imagination.

Ms. Asia is a Lead Teacher in our Preschool Program. She has over 9 years of experience in Early Childhood Education with a specialized focus on Two's and Preschool education. Ms. Asia enjoys supporting classrooms and building connections across all age groups with her families and students.

Ms. Jennifer is a lead teacher in the Pre-Kindergarten program, bringing over 14 years of experience working with children. She holds a current CDA and is also a proud Goddard parent.

Ms. Sierra is a Lead teacher in our Pre-Kindergarden program. She holds a CDA focused on preschool education and has over 4 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. She has advanced experience as an art teacher and finds it most rewarding to witness her students’ “aha moments” as they connect new ideas.

Ms. Jannette is a Lead Resource Teacher who has over 20 years of expertise working with Infants and Toddlers. Ms. Jannette loves supporting children’s growth and helping them feel confident and happy in their classrooms.

Ms. Valerie is a Lead Support teacher in the Preschool and Pre-K program and has over 25 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Valerie holds a CDA in preschool education. She finds it most rewarding to watch children learn and grow while guiding them through each stage of development. She also enjoys creating fun, lasting memories with her students.

Ms. Char'Dana is a Lead Resource teacher who has 30 years of experience in early childhood education. She has extensive experience in Toddler and Pre-Kindergarten education. The most rewarding part of teaching for her is watching her students blossom and helping them reach their milestones.
