As a devoted mother of a graduate from The Goddard School, I have experienced firsthand the powerful influence it has in fostering inclusive and nurturing learning environments. My husband Farooq & I believe in strong educational foundations, excited to offer this to your kids. Our skilled educators provide a supportive environment for each child to grow at their own pace. Kathy is the proud director of the newly established Goddard School of Delaware. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Child Psychology from Bowling Green State University and a Master's in Clinical Social Work from the Ohio State University. With over two decades of professional experience in child development, she is deeply committed to fostering an atmosphere where children can thrive. She believes that a secure and encouraging setting, one that promotes active exploration and playful learning, is essential for young minds. Open and frequent communication with parents is a cornerstone of successful early education, which is why she maintains an open-door policy. She eagerly looks forward to collaborating with both you and your child.

Miss Sana is a lead teacher on our Pre-kindergarten team. Ms. Sana earned her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and completed her Child Development Associates (CDA) two years ago. She has been in the Early Childhood field for almost five years. Ms. Sana started her career as a Pre-K Lead Teacher and also have two years of experience in administration. When she moved to Delaware with her family, she started working in Delaware City Schools. She enjoys working with children and is passionate about teaching them new skills. Her goal as a teacher is to help children reach their potential in their journey towards developmental milestones. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family.

Ms. April has over fifteen years of early childhood experience as well as experience working with kids with special needs. She received her Associate's of Art from Mount Vernon Nazreen and is currently finishing her degree in Social Work. Ms. April enjoys helping her students reach their potential and encourages all her kids to reach for the stars because they can do anything they put their minds to. Hands-on learning as well as a welcoming and nurturing environment are key to providing her students the environment they need to reach for those stars and prepare them for kindergarten. Ms. April is big on communication and working hand and hand with families to make sure their child is thriving and enjoying their time in the classroom. In her free time, Ms. April loves to read and spend time with her son, husband, and dog Bonnie.

Ms. Roquesa has over 10 years of experience in early childcare. Most of her experience has been with young and older infants. She has two young adults. Her son is 31, her daughter is 23 and her first grand baby is four. In her spare time, she likes to read, listen to all types of music and spends time with her family. Her favorite color is purple and her favorite restaurant is Olive Garden and Benihana‘s.

Ms. Karisa obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Regent University. Over the past five years, she has dedicated herself to a professional childcare, drawing upon her extensive prior experience with children. She finds great joy in interacting with children and witnessing their developmental milestones. Ms. Karisa's expertise spans across various age groups, with a primary focus on caring for both younger and older infants.

Ms. Krithika, a cherished member of our infant team. She holds a Masters degree in Economics. Beyond being an educator, she's a devoted mom of two—a college graduate and a high schooler. When she's not teaching, Ms. Krithika loves experimenting in the kitchen, finding her center with yoga, and taking scenic walks with friends. Her flair for fashion design shines through her own sari boutique. Ms. Krithika eagerly anticipates bonding with our young ones and guiding them towards their developmental milestones. She embodies patience and firmly believes in the unique talents of every child.

Miss. Veda is excited for her new step towards her career in childhood education. She recently graduated from the University of Northwestern Ohio and received her Bachelor’s in Business Administration. She discovered her love for being a helping hand in shaping the minds of children from helping raise her nephew and her ability to watch him grow and learn. Miss. Veda is overjoyed to have the chance to positively change the children’s lives in any way she can. In her free time she enjoys being outside in the fresh air, reading, spending time with her friends, family, and her best friend, her rescue cat named Edgar Allan Poe.

Ms. Joycelynn, also known as Ms. Joy within the classroom, brings a wealth of experience in early childhood education, with approximately three years dedicated to this field. After taking a year off, she is so happy to be back doing what she truly loves to do. Ms. Joy's expertise primarily lies in working with the younger age group, spanning from older infants to young toddlers. Her enthusiasm shines as she steps into the classroom to guide, teach, and connect with the children under her care. Witnessing their joyful smiles each day brings her immense satisfaction. Ms. Joy is eagerly looking forward to building connections with every child who enters her room. When she's not in the classroom, she cherishes quality time spent with her family at home.

Ms. Landry has been working in childcare for 7 years now, 5 of that was teaching in the infant and toddler rooms, and 2 years of being an Assistant Director. She has her CDA in infant/toddler as well. She has lived in the Lewis Center area for most of her life but currently resides near Polaris. Her favorite thing about working with children is creating bonds with them and their families, and the rewarding feeling of watching them grow and learn new things everyday. In her free time, she enjoys interior design and decorating her home! She is so excited to be a part of The Goddard School family and look forward to getting acquainted with everyone!

Ms. Ashley holds an Associates in Art degree from Florida Atlantic University. With nearly 14 years of experience, she has dedicated her career to childcare, with a special focus on nurturing and guiding infants and toddlers. Ms. Ashley has a passion and calling for working with young children, and she believes that early childhood education is extremely important and valuable in helping to shape young minds. Ms. Ashley takes pride in nurturing young children, along with helping them develop self-help skills, and encouraging them to try new things to help gain confidence and build self-esteem. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time with her family, which includes her husband, daughter, two step sons and their beloved dog.

Ms. Kaiti received her Bachelor degree in Sociology from Kent State University in 2019. She started her career working with children as a children’s entertainer in 2014, and for the past two years has brought her love of music and dance to teaching toddlers. She believes in creating a fun and loving classroom for all of her students. She also loves combining her passion for the arts and teaching to help young children grow and learn. Ms. Kaiti has recently moved to Columbus from Cleveland and is excited to be joining the Goddard of Delaware’s community.

Ms. Lauren is a teacher on our Toddler team. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education from Ohio University, and she is currently halfway through a Master’s degree in Education. She loves to see the children’s faces light up as they learn new things, and it makes her happy to be a part of their learning process. She also loves to sit and read with the children because she believes that reading is such an important lifelong skill to have, and she wants the children to enjoy reading. She is very excited to have the opportunity to work with the children and to watch them grow in knowledge and skills.

Ms. Kelly has been working with children for over 20 years and has experience teaching all different ages. Ms. Kelly went to the Ohio State University and has her BA in Communications and minor in Family and Child Science. She has volunteered for Big Brother/ Big Sister and CASA of Franklin County. Ms. Kelly currently volunteers teaching religion class at St. Joan of Ac in Powell. She was a stay at home mom for many years and volunteered in schools while her four children were younger. The past few years she was a long term substitute in Intervention through Olentangy schools.

Ms. Sarah is a lead teacher for Preschool; holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and in the process of obtaining her CDA. Ms. Sarah has worked in childcare for over 6 years, loves art and singing with children and is excited to care and help them grow as they learn and adventure into their future.

Ms. Teja serves as a valued teacher within our preschool team. Holding a CDA certification, she brings three years of enriched experience in early childhood education to our school. Passionate about her role, she not only adores working with children but also embraces the unique learning opportunities they present.

Mr. Nicholas moved to Columbus in 2022 and have been working with preschool students since. He recently worked in a residential facility in Philadelphia with children ages 5-14. This experience ignited his passion for teaching and nurturing young minds. Witnessing the excitement of children as they grasp new concepts fills him with immense joy. Mr. Nicholas eagerly anticipates forging new connections with the children and families at Goddard.

Ms. Susie serves as our Pre-K teacher at The Goddard School of Delaware and is thrilled to be a part of our community. With over 6 1/2 years of teaching experience, she eagerly anticipates guiding your children in their learning journey. A proud mother of three grown children and grandmother to four, Ms. Susie possesses a rich background in culinary arts. Before transitioning to the realm of child care, she showcased her creativity as a pastry chef. Outside the classroom, she loves to bake, refurbish furniture, and tend to her garden.

Ms. Julie is a graduate of The Ohio State University, holding a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Social Work, specializing in School Social Work. With over two decades of experience, she has dedicated her career to working with children in both clinical and school-based settings. Ms. Julie's primary objective is to ignite a passion for learning within her students. To achieve this, she approaches her work with enthusiasm, care, and thorough preparation. She firmly believes that a classroom should exude warmth and nurture, providing children with a sense of safety and belonging. Ms. Julie in her spare time enjoys reading, indoor plant care, and travel as well spending time with her family and friends.

Ms. Sharmila, blending culinary prowess with a BS in Computer Science, adroitly manages our kitchen while also navigating the technical orchestration of our state-of-the-art machinery, including Zono and Halo machines. Her multifaceted skills enhance both our culinary and technological operations, ensuring smooth, innovative, and efficient functionalities across the board.
