    Owner
    MaryBeth’s journey with the Goddard School started with her being a parent, with her own two daughters attending a Goddard School in Ohio. Her experience inspired her to offer the same positive experience as she had, to the families in our community. Marybeth recognized the importance of a strong curriculum along with a safe and nurturing learning environment and purchased the Goddard School of Macomb in 2009. MaryBeth has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, a Master’s degree in Management and also served in United States Army for 8 years. She uses her leadership skills, background in business and military experience to successfully manage the operations of the schools. It is undoubtably evident that MaryBeth is proud to be associated with the programs that Goddard has to offer and is committed to providing the highest quality preschool. Marybeth is now extending her care to more families with her second school in the area.

    Karen has been with The Goddard School for over 13 years, beginning her journey in January of 2011. Karen highly believes in the Goddard Brand and works hard every day to fulfill Goddard's promise of safety, education and enrichment for each child that is in our care. She has experience in every role at The Goddard School raging from lead teacher to administration. She has been in the early childhood industry for over 20 years, including 9 years of running her own licensed in-house childcare. Karen's educational background includes degrees in management as well as early childhood education. Karen's vast knowledge and passion of the industry is made very evident as she consistently aims to succeed.

    Assistant Director
    Ms Katelyn understands that early childhood development is a critical period in a child's life. Katelyn has seven years in early childhood experience. She is completing her Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education. Katelyn's daughter has attended The Goddard School. Katelyn's favorite children's book is Giraffes Can't Dance.

    Mrs. Bernadette has been in early childhood education for fourteen years and absolutely loves seeing little people grow. She is currently working towards her CDA and is excited to complete the program this year. She enjoy baking and reading in her spare time. Her favorite children's book is Where The Wild Things Are.

    Lead Teacher Preschool
    Ms Mykell has been working with young children for over eight years. She enjoys watching the children learn new things everyday. Mykell is working towards her RCBT training. She believes children learn best through play. Her passion is getting down to the children's level for connection and redirecting behavior with positive reinforcement. Mykell loves reading and taking long walks with her daughter. Her favorite children books are No David and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom.

    Ms. Emily quickly proved to be a natural fit for our program, bringing with her four years of experience working with young children. She has seamlessly connected with the toddlers in her classroom, forming strong bonds and providing exceptional care. Ms. Emily is dedicated to meeting each child's unique needs with flexibility and attentiveness. You’ll often find her on the floor with the children, engaging them in Storytime, singing, and play.

    Ms. Nicole is our Toddler Two Lead Teacher! Nicole comes from a large family and always knew she wanted to work with children. Nicole has attended both Lansing Community College and Baker University. Nicole has over 10 years professional experience in Early Childhood Education. Her Philosophy is KIDS FIRST! She loves to read, watch movies, and spend time Upnorth! Her favorite children's stories are Little Critter and Pout Pout Fish!

    Miss Hannah as over 4 years experience with in early childhood education. She is currently working towards her CDA. Hannah loves teaching and creating a calm and happy environment. She loves ART, projects and science.

    Miss Tate has been an esteemed member of the Goddard School team for three years, showcasing a deep commitment to our health and safety protocols. She excels in fostering the social-emotional development of the children, with a particular talent for working with our 2.5-year-olds in the Bridge classroom. Miss Tate consistently creates a calm and supportive atmosphere in her classroom. She has completed numerous CDA classes and is currently pursuing an associate’s degree at Macomb Community College this fall. Her expertise and dedication make her an invaluable asset to every classroom she supports.

    Miss Emma has been a natural fit at The Goddard School Macomb, effortlessly blending into our environment with her innate ability to connect with the children. Although she may seem quiet at first, her interactions with the children reveal a vibrant and outgoing side of her personality. You can often find Miss Emma dancing with the little ones or leading engaging learning activities. Her creativity and kindness shine through in everything she does, making her an invaluable asset to our toddler and bridge groups. Miss Emma is passionate about the importance of learning through play, recognizing it as a vital component of a child’s development. Her dedication to fostering a playful and supportive learning environment is truly appreciated by both her colleagues and the children!

    Miss Bella loves spending time with her little cousins and they have inspired her to join early childhood education. She is currently working on her CDA in Infants and Toddler. She believes that it is important to be as nice as humanly possible. She loves all sports and being active. Bella's favorite children's story is Chica Chica Boom Boom.

    Hallie is currently going to Macomb Community College and our "breaker". We love our breakers. She works in all classrooms giving our teachers a well-deserved break. Hallie is kind, compassionate and a hard worker.

    Mrs. Sally has been a cherished member of The Goddard School Macomb team for the past three years. Known for her calm demeanor and nurturing spirit, she plays a pivotal role in all of our classrooms, consistently going above and beyond to support and enrich the lives of the children. With a completed CDA for preschool ages, Sally is highly skilled in early childhood education and is deeply loved by all the children she works with. Her dedication and warmth make her a valuable asset to our team. Among Sally’s favorite children’s books are Stick and Stone (a featured book from our Lifelesson Library), No David, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Her enthusiasm for these stories often brings a special joy to her classroom, creating memorable and engaging experiences for our students.

    Lena's journey began as a volunteer in a Montessori school. There she discovered her passion for nurturing young minds. Lena is currently taking classes at Macomb Community College working towards Early Childhood Development. Lena's hobbies are bowing with family, movie nights and vacations with her husband. Her favorite children's books are Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Love you forever and Llama Llama Red Pajama.

    Mrs. Elfrida is a teacher dedicated to making sure each child feels safe and loved. Frida commits to giving the families peace of mind knowing their child is in good care. Frida has her PHD and was a professor and university researcher. For the past 9 years she feels privileged teaching so many young children. Hugs are her favorite part.

    Mrs. Itzel has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from / UNITEC University, Mexico. She is fluent and is a tutor in Spanish. She has worked in both Montessori and Inquiry base early childhood centers. Itzel's smile warms the hearts of all who encounter her.

Committed to fostering a supportive atmosphere, Madison understands the importance of recognizing each child’s unique learning style. She is dedicated to providing the tools and resources necessary for all students to thrive academically and emotionally. Through personalized approaches and engaging activities, Madison ensures that each child feels valued and empowered in their learning journey. Outside of the classroom, Madison enjoys exploring new educational methods and spending time with her family. She is excited to inspire her students and help them reach their full potential.
