Our Goddard School Teachers

MaryBeth’s journey with The Goddard School began as a parent, with her two daughters attending a Goddard School in Ohio. Inspired by the positive experience her family received, she wanted to bring that same level of care and education to families in our community. Recognizing the importance of a strong curriculum paired with a safe and nurturing learning environment, MaryBeth purchased The Goddard School of Macomb in 2009. MaryBeth holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Management. She also proudly served in the United States Army for eight years. Drawing on her leadership skills, business expertise, and military experience, she successfully oversees the operations of her schools. Passionate about early childhood education, MaryBeth is committed to providing the highest quality preschool experience and is now proud to serve even more families through her second Goddard School in Macomb County.

Karen has been with The Goddard School for over 13 years, beginning her journey in January of 2011. Karen highly believes in the Goddard Brand and works hard every day to fulfill Goddard's promise of safety, education and enrichment for each child that is in our care. She has experience in every role at The Goddard School raging from lead teacher to administration. She has been in the early childhood industry for over 20 years, including 9 years of running her own licensed in-house childcare. Karen's educational background includes degrees in management as well as early childhood education. Karen's vast knowledge and passion of the industry is made very evident as she consistently aims to succeed.

I bring over six years of experience in early childhood education and I am currently working toward my degree in Early Childhood Education, continuing to deepen my knowledge and strengthen my practice in the field I love. I currently serve as the Enrollment Coordinator here at The Goddard School – Wellington Center, and I’ve proudly been part of the Goddard team for the past six years. My mother, Marybeth, is the owner of our school, and I am honored to be learning from her as I work toward following in her footsteps and continuing our family’s commitment to high-quality early childhood education.

Miss Tate has her associate’s degree from Macomb Community College and has been part of our Goddard team for six years. She currently works in the office as an administrator, supporting our school with professionalism, organization, and a strong commitment to quality. She has also completed numerous CDA classes and continues to deepen her expertise in early childhood education. Miss Tate excels in fostering the social-emotional development of children and has a particular talent for working with our 2.5-year-olds in the Bridge classroom. She consistently creates a calm, supportive atmosphere and is an invaluable asset to every classroom she supports.

Mrs. Sally has been a cherished member of The Goddard School Macomb team for the past three years. Known for her calm demeanor and nurturing spirit, she plays a pivotal role in all of our classrooms, consistently going above and beyond to support and enrich the lives of the children. With a completed CDA for preschool ages, Sally is highly skilled in early childhood education and is deeply loved by all the children she works with. Her dedication and warmth make her a valuable asset to our team. Among Sally’s favorite children’s books are Stick and Stone (a featured book from our Lifelesson Library), No David, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Her enthusiasm for these stories often brings a special joy to her classroom, creating memorable and engaging experiences for our students.

Mrs. Itzel is the Lead Teacher in our Toddler Two classroom. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from UNITEC University in Mexico and is fluent in Spanish. In her free time, she enjoys tutoring and helping others learn and grow. Mrs. Itzel has experience in both Montessori and inquiry-based early childhood education, bringing a well-rounded approach to the classroom. She has made an amazing impact at The Goddard School and continues to bring warmth, positivity, and energy to her students and colleagues each day.

Miss Bethany is a dedicated educator who finds great joy in watching children grow and continuously learn. With a background in early childhood education, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her classroom. She believes that children are our future and is committed to fostering an environment where they can thrive. In her role, Miss Bethany emphasizes the importance of kindness, empathy, and cooperation, encouraging her students to support and uplift one another. She incorporates engaging activities that promote social skills and emotional development, ensuring each child feels valued and understood. Her favorite children's book is, 'If You Give a Mouse a Cookie'

Miss Kati works in our Toddler One classroom. I enjoy learning and expanding my knowledge in early childhood education. Continuing to grow as an educator is important to me, and I love bringing new ideas and strategies into the classroom to support our toddlers as they learn and explore.

Mrs. Anna is a caring and enthusiastic member of our team who brings positive energy and patience into every classroom she supports. She has a natural ability to connect with young children and loves creating meaningful moments through play, learning, and daily routines. Anna is passionate about helping children feel safe, confident, and valued as they grow and explore the world around them. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughters, making memories together, and embracing all the little moments of motherhood.

Mrs. Natasha brings a warm and nurturing presence to the classroom each day. With a passion for early childhood education, she is dedicated to creating a safe, joyful, and engaging environment where children feel supported and encouraged to grow. Natasha enjoys getting to know each child’s unique personality and learning style and loves watching their confidence blossom. She believes in the power of play-based learning and values building strong connections with families to ensure each child’s success. Outside of the classroom, Natasha enjoys reading, spending time with loved ones, and exploring new hobbies.

Mrs. Hanka was born in Bosnia. She brings over Twelve years of teaching experience to our school community. She holds both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in English Language Literature, along with a TEFL certification. Her background spans across all age groups, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Hanka is passionate about creating a learning environment where children feel safe, motivated, and excited to explore new ideas. She believes teaching is a deeply rewarding career, offering endless opportunities for personal and professional growth. Her goal each day is to have fun with the children, while helping them reach their full potential. Her favorite children's book is I love You Stinky Face. -Lisa McCourt

Mrs. Taylor serves as our Lead Teacher in the Infant Room. She is a full-time member of our team and provides consistent, nurturing care for our youngest learners. Her regular schedule is: - Monday–Friday - 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Her leadership helps ensure a warm, safe, and developmentally supportive environment for all infants in her care.

Miss Val has been a valued member of our school’s family for six years and brings over six years of experience working with children. Her background includes tutoring, serving as a long-term substitute teacher, and working as an assistant teacher. She holds a Master’s degree in Secondary Education and is currently pursuing her ESL certification. Ms. Val enjoys engaging children through arts and crafts and loves encouraging curiosity and a love of learning. One of her greatest joys is supporting children as they experience those exciting “aha!” moments when new concepts click. Her dedication to helping children discover their strengths and build confidence makes her an invaluable part of our team.

Miss Gabby is an assistant teacher in our GSRP program, and she brings an incredibly fun, bubbly energy to the classroom every day. She’s currently working toward her arts degree, which shines through in her creativity and passion for hands-on learning. It’s no surprise that you’ll often find her leading exciting art projects with her students — she loves helping them explore, create, and express themselves in meaningful ways.

Mrs. Patrica is a warm, loving educator who has always had a natural gift for working with children. She holds a bachelor’s degree and brings both knowledge and heart into the classroom each day. She is also bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows her to connect with families and students in meaningful, inclusive ways. Her kindness, patience, and dedication make her a truly valued member of our school community.

Miss Nevaeh is an Assistant Teacher in our Toddler Two classroom. She brings a sweet and calming presence to the classroom, helping our young learners feel safe, comfortable, and supported each day. Her gentle approach, kind personality, and dedication make her a wonderful asset to both the children in her care and our Goddard School team.

Mrs. Bharathi is a full-time assistant teacher in our Twos Classroom. She brings so much heart and joy to the classroom each day. Her kindness, sense of humor, and genuine love for children help create a fun, welcoming environment where little ones feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. She’s especially gifted at creating memorable moments that make each day special for the kids.

Ms. Eman is a dedicated assistant teacher in our Twos Classroom. She brings a fun, loving energy to the room and connects naturally with the children. As a mother herself, she understands what little ones need to feel safe, supported, and excited to explore. One of the kids’ favorite parts of the day is music and movement with Mrs. Eman — her enthusiasm makes every song and activity come alive, and the children absolutely adore it.

Miss Janathia is a full-time assistant teacher in our Toddler One classroom. She has a naturally calm and gentle personality that creates a soothing, supportive environment for our young learners. Her patience, steady presence, and nurturing approach help toddlers feel safe and confident as they explore and grow. She is a deeply valued member of our team, and her quiet strength makes a meaningful difference in our classroom every day

Miss Marissa is an assistant teacher in our GSRP program and is currently working toward her degree in early childhood education. She brings a fun, upbeat personality to the classroom, making each day lively and engaging for her students. Her enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment to learning make her a wonderful support to both the children and the teaching team.

Ms. Haley is an associate teacher in our Pre-Preschool and Pre-K classrooms. She brings a fun, lively energy to the school each day, and you can often spot her running around the playground or down on the carpet building, creating, and playing right alongside the kids. As a mother herself, she brings plenty of helpful “mom tips and tricks” that make her a natural at connecting with young learners. Her enthusiasm, warmth, and hands-on approach make her a truly valued part of our team.
