    A strong foundation is critical in shaping us as individuals and guides us in all aspects and chapters of our lives. We believe the environment and curriculum a child is exposed to in the early years plays a pivotal role in their development, which is why we chose to start a Goddard School. We like to be involved in our community and enjoy sports, music, movies and travelling around the globe with our family. Sunny has a B.S. in Polymer Engineering and M.S. in Plastics Engineering from UMASS Lowell, he also has an MBA in Finance from Bryant University. Simmi has a B.S. in Computer Information Science from Johnson & Wales University. “Raising 3 kids we have seen firsthand the difference between at home care and a nurturing program Goddard offers. We are excited, proud and feel privileged to bring The Goddard School to Watertown, MA and are confident in providing the community and your family with the safest and highest quality preschool experience.”

    Director
    Ms. Kathryn graduated from Curry College in 2009 with a degree in Child, Youth and Community. She achieved her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in 2015. She has worked with children in early childhood education for over 10 years. Ms. Kathryn enjoys working with children because they are so eager to learn new things everyday! She loves to engage the children in activities that are interesting and exciting at the same time. In Ms. Kathryn’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys photography, scrapbooking, and organizing.
  • Ms Katherina

    Ms Katherina

    Director
    Ms. Katherina graduated from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a concentration in Social Work. She began working with young children in 2003 when she was in high school and never left the field. Katherina has had experience in every classroom and brings a wealth of knowledge to the Goddard School, such as curriculum, effective communication, and classroom management. Katherina comes from a big family, being one of seven, and enjoys spending her free time with her siblings who range in ages from 7 to 32. Katherina has a wonderful 2 year old daughter who attends the Goddard School and is the highlight of her life. Together, they enjoy drawing, reading, cooking, and traveling.

    Ms. Jessica has experience working with children in critical conditions in a hospital setting. Additionally she has years of experience with children and families. Ms. Jessica completed college courses at Regis College. She enjoys spending time with her nieces and nephews and being involved in their school activities! Ms. Jessica is excited to be a part of the Goddard family!

    Ms Sally

    Education Coordinator
    Ms. Sally received her Associates Degree in Natural Science and is working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She comes from a large family and has dealt with all age groups growing up. She was involved in after school programs working with children and having a part time Nanny position in High School. Her passion has always been to work with children, believing that she can be a great influence and she can learn a lot from them also. Some of Sally’s hobbies and interests are traveling, meeting new people and learning about different cultures, she also loves cooking and photography. She speaks two languages, English and Portuguese.
  • Mr Kevin

    Mr Kevin

    Music and Sports Coordinator
    Mr. Kevin is our Music teacher. Mr. Kevin graduated from Salem State University with a BA in music and a concentration in voice and saxophone, along with a minor in theater. Mr. Kevin has been teaching Pre-School music for 5 years. In his spare time, Mr. Kevin plays tenor saxophone in the Maynard Community Band. He also enjoys performing in community theater musicals. Mr. Kevin has performed in Fiddler on the Roof with Theatre III. He also appeared in Titanic and Brigadoon with Theater III along with Les Miserables with the Concord Players.
  • Ms Ana

    Ms Ana

    Teacher
    Ms. Ana has her Tourism and Business Administration degree in Mexico. She has completed the Child Development requirements to become certified in teaching Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool-age. Ms. Ana started working with children in a family childcare center. She thought it was a beautiful thing to take care of and educate young children. She believes that working with children is the most rewarding experience; every child is very different in how they feel about and understand the world around them. Children get the best from Ms. Ana. During her free time, Ms. Ana enjoys going for bicycle rides, taking walks, and doing crafts; she enjoys activities that require patience. Ms. Ana's primary language is Spanish, but she is currently taking classes to study English.

    Ms. Cristina is a certified teacher for Infant/Toddler and Preschool programs. She obtained her Bachelors while living in Chile. Ms. Cristina has also continued her education through Urban College in Children with Disabilities. Ms. Cristina has experience owning her own homeday. She has experience working with adults with disabilities, and helping them obtain daily goals. In her spare time, Ms. Cristina enjoys watching movies, walking with her dog, reading and camping in the summer.

    Ms Feven

    Teacher
    Ms. Feven graduated from the University in Ethiopia. She took various education courses while she was attending school including Child Development and Special Needs courses. Before moving to Watertown, Ms. Feven lived in Japan and volunteered at the Ethiopian Community Center. While volunteering, Ms. Feven would spend time with the children and create activities. Ms. Feven has two children. She is fluent in Amharic and English. In her spare time, Ms. Feven enjoys cooking and baking for her family.

    Ms. May has her CDA in Infant/Toddlers and completed additional Early Childhood courses at Ashworth College. She has worked with Infants and Toddlers for more than 20 years. During her free time, Ms. May enjoys cooking, going on walks, and participating in fun activities with children.

    Ms Mirca

    Ms. Mira is currently Infant and Toddler certified through the state of MA. Ms. Mirca has previous experience nannying infants and toddlers. She enjoys spending time with children as she loves watching them grow and make connections with the world around them. Her favorite activities to participate in are art, science and music. In her spare time Ms. Mirca enjoys watching movies and spending time with her mom. She comes from a close knit family and enjoys going on travel adventures with them.
  • Ms Yaxeny

    Ms Yaxeny

    Ms. Yaxeny has nannied for a family for four years, taking care of 3 children of different ages, remaining flexible for each of their needs at a time. In her care, she helped the children with their school homework, entertained them with stimulating activities, prepared meals and cleaned up after them. She started working with children because of her passions for community growth and education. Ms. Yaxeny's hobbies consist of painting, crafting, and enjoying the outdoors. She went to a bilingual school as a child and because of that, she speaks both English and Spanish fluently.

    Ms. Cristy took courses at Mass Bay Community College to advance her career in Early Childhood Education. She is EEC certified to teach infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children. Ms. Cristy has over five years of experience working with children. She is proud to be a part of a child’s development. She enjoys working with children because everyday is a new adventure and there is never a dull moment. Ms. Cristy finds it rewarding to help a child realize their fullest potential and meet developmental milestones. In her spare time, Ms. Cristy enjoys reading and going for nature walks with her daughter.

    Ms. Edith graduated with a certificate in Patisserie and Baking from Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinart Arts. Ms. Edith has an 8 month old daughter. While at home with her daughter, Ms. Edith has created activities to help with her physical and emotional growth and development. In her spare time, Ms. Edith enjoys spending time with her daughter and baking. As a former pastry chef, something sweet is always baking in her kitchen!

    Ms. Joseline has completed her Bachelors of Science degree with a major in Accounting. She is currently in the process continuing her education in early education. Ms. Joseline has 2 young children. She also has experience nannying children of all ages. Ms. Joseline is fluent in Spanish and English. Some of Ms. Joseline’s hobbies include spending time with her children, exploring nature, hiking, reading, and cooking.

    Erin joined the Goddard School of Watertown in April of 2018. Erin has been working with the Toddler age group since July of 2014. Erin is Lead Teacher certified and Infant and Toddler certified. Erin graduated from Westfield State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Geography. She began working with Toddlers in July 2014 and fell in love with the age group! What she loves most about working with this age group is when a child is discovering something new for the first time and their curiosity about the world. She loves how they are so loving, caring individuals and helping them strive in whatever they do. Her hobbies include cooking and traveling. In Erin’s free time she loves hanging out with her friends and family and going to the beach!

    Ms. Michaela is currently a student at Waltham High School, where she is enjoying taking classes in AP Psychology, AP Biology, and the arts. One of her passions is technical theater. She has been a reader for as long as she can remember, and loves the look on a child's face when they find the perfect book.

    Ms. Kayla graduated from Framingham State University with a degree in Early Education. For the last five years, she has cared for and taught Infants, Toddlers and Preschool aged children. Ms. Kayla enjoys working with children because she loves to see their face light up when they accomplish something new. During her free time, Ms. Kayla enjoys reading and hiking.

    Ms. Kleidy originally studied cosmetology before finding her passion and transitioning into Early Childcare. She is now working towards her EEC certifications. For the past 5 years, Ms. Kleidy has worked with children in a variety of settings. This experience prepared her for motherhood as she developed into a nurturing and attentive caretaker. The children she has cared for have made a great impact on her life with their endearing warmth. Her hobbies include singing, reading and going to the park with her children.

    Ms. Shahma is currently attending Watertown High School. She enjoys taking classes and learning more about Math and Science. Ms. Shahma has experience working with children from 9 months to 8 years old. While playing and engaging with children, Ms. Shahma enjoys helping the children explore nature and read books. Ms. Shahma is fluent in both English and Pashto. In her spare time, Ms. Shahma enjoys reading, spending time with family, exploring nature, photography and cooking.

    Ms. Ashley graduated in 2015 from Waltham High School and has a strong interest in furthering her education in early childcare. Ms. Ashley found a love for childcare by working with children since the age of 14; she has cared for infants, all the way through middle schoolers. There is never a dull moment when working with children and that is one of the many reasons why she enjoys it. During her free time, Ms. Ashley enjoys traveling, sports (she plays and coaches basketball), and cooking. Ms. Ashley speaks English and Spanish.

    Mr. Axel is a certified culinary chef. Mr. Axel worked at a variety of restaurants where he worked as a kitchen manager. Along with his culinary experience, Mr. Axel has experience taking care of his younger sibling. Mr. Axel is fluent in both Spanish and English. In his spare time, Mr. Axel enjoys writing music and poems, hair, and mechanical work.

    Ms Jody

    Ms. Jody is a certified Preschool and Pre-K teacher. Ms. Jody has been working with children for over 11 years. The majority of her years has been teaching and caring for children in the pre-school classroom, but has also worked with toddlers up through Pre-K. Ms. Jody enjoys spending time with her two children and attending their extracurricular activities, as well as, vacationing in New Hampshire at their summer home. She also enjoys snowmobiling, ATVing, boating, and hiking.
  • Ms Noshin

    Ms. Noshin is currently obtaining a bachelors at Simmons University with a major in Public Health. She is working towards becoming a certified Preschool/Pre-K teacher through the state of Massachusetts. Ms. Noshin has past experience volunterring at a early childhood center in the infant program while attending high school. She also has experience Nannying children ages infancy through 6 years old. Ms. Noshin enjoys working with children because they brighten her day and encourage her to be a better person. In her spare time, Ms. Noshin enjoys painting and DIY crafts. She enjoys cooking and baking. Along with English, Ms. Noshin speaks Bengali.

    Ms. Mileidy recently graduated from Waltham High School and has since been pursuing a career in early education. She has a passion for working with young children and is interested in supporting their development. As a nanny, Ms. Mileidy has taken care of infants to preschool aged children. She enjoys showing them new things, gaining their trust and having conversation. In her spare time, Ms. Mileidy enjoys learning more about child development and classroom strategies.

    Ms. Maeva graduated from Bently University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Ms. Maeva enjoys working with children because she wants to make a difference in the future generation. She enjoys being a part of their growth and development. Ms. Maeva is fluent in English and French. Ms. Maeva hobbies include hiking, swimming, travelling, and trying new restaurants. She also enjoys spending time with her pet rabbit, Lil’ Bun.

    Ms. Mayely recently graduated from Waltham High School and has always been interested in early education. After school, Ms. Mayely would babysit for local families. She enjoyed learning about each child’s interests and experiences. Ms. Mayely is excited to be joining The Goddard School and looks forward to getting to know everyone. Ms. Mayely enjoys working out and preparing creative activities.

    Ms Nino

    Teacher
    Ms. Nino received two Masters Degrees from a state university in the Republic of Georgia. Her degrees are in German Language and Literature and German Translations. Ms. Nino has over 10 years of experience working in a middle school teaching German, as well as tutoring. Ms. Nino speaks Georgian, Russian, English and German. In her free time, Ms. Nino enjoys art, painting, baking, and listening to classical music. She is a self-taught artist and has had her own exhibition at the Watertown Public Library.

    Ms. Lissette attended a University in the Dominican Republic where she received her degree in Communication Sciences. Ms. Lissette has experience working at a Montessori school with children ages 3-5. While working at the Montessori school, Ms. Lissette engaged with the children and strived to obtain relationships with the children and families. Ms. Lissette enjoys working with children because she learns something new from them everyday! In her spare time, Ms. Lissette enjoys reading.

    Ms. Eileen is currently enrolled in classes at Massbay Community College. She is working towards her business administration certificate. Ms. Eileen is also taking additional courses to become Infant and Toddler certified through the state of Massachusetts. Ms. Eileen has experience working with Infants and Toddlers. She also has experience babysitting children of all ages. In her spare time, Ms. Eileen enjoys art, fitness, reading and music.

    Ms. Esther is currently attending MassBay Community College where she is working on an Associate's degree in Political Science. Ms. Esther has experience working in programs such as a winter break program. She also takes care of her younger cousins. Ms. Esther believes that working with children is the best because every day is a new adventure, and she gets to learn and play with these tiny, amazing minds. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, trying new food and watching Netflix. Ms. Esther is fluent in English and Spanish

    Ms. Michelle graduated from the University of Puerto Rico with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Special Education. In the past, she has worked with children between the ages of 8-10. Ms. Michelle is very happy to have the opportunity to work with younger children. She enjoys observing their curiosity and learning alongside them. Ms. Michelle’s hobbies include reading books, going on walks and painting. She loves animals, especially dogs and is fluent in English and Spanish.

    Ms. Lilian is currently enrolled as a Junior at Watertown High School. Ms. Lilian has experience nannying children, ranging in ages from 3 months to 6 years. Ms. Lilian enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also really enjoys horseback riding.

    Shannon is currently attending the University of New Hampshire for Human Development and Family Studies. She has been working with children & families for 7+ years as a babysitter/nanny, and volunteers at Perkins School For The Blind. During her free time, Shannon likes going to the beach, playing/watching sports, and dancing.

    Ms. Maddie received their Bachelor’s degree from Boston College in May of 2020, majoring in Applied Psychology and Human Development and English with a concentration in Special Education. Ms. Maddie also got their Master’s degree from Boston College in Mental Health Counseling, and they graduated in May of 2022. Ms. Maddie has experience caring for young children, aged anywhere from 3-10, mostly from their time working at the Omaha Children’s Museum as a summer camp teacher for two years and in their time working as a nanny. Ms. Maddie also has experience working as a therapist for young children, and they learned so much about play therapy, emotional identification and regulation, and healthy communication. Ultimately, Ms. Maddie has always had a passion for connecting with and positively impacting the lives of youth. In their free time, Ms. Maddie really enjoys reading and writing, and they especially like to journal and write poetry!

    Ms. Karly graduated from Stevenson University with a Bachelors degree in Marketing and a minor in Communications. Ms. Karly has experience working with children of all ages, while teaching them youth hockey. Ms. Karly really enjoys exploring with children and teaching them new things! Some of Ms. Karly’s interests include watching and playing ice hockey and drawing. Ms. Karly enjoys traveling, and hopes to one day travel around the world.

    Ms. Mariely completed her high school education and pursued a career in embroidery and screen printing, honing her artistic and creative skills. Ms. Mariely has hands-on experience in childcare, having nannied her two nephews for four years. The birth of her son marked a turning point in her career, inspiring her to delve into early education. She recognized the significance of learning through play in her son's development, particularly his interest in playing with cars, and this has been a joyful experience for her. Ms. Mariely is fluent in both English and Spanish. In her personal time, Ms. Mariely loves to engage in outdoor activities, including going on walks and hiking.

    Ms. Luce graduated from Framingham State University, where she received a Bachelors degree in studio art. Ms. Luce enjoyed being creative during her time at Framingham State University where she was the president of the art club. She enjoys working with children to encourage an appreciation of the arts. Ms. Luce is fluent in both English and French. In her personal time, Ms. Luce enjoys drawing pictures of landscapes, and taking long walks along the Charles River with her dog.

    Initially, Ms. Monica’s academic and career pursuits were in a different field. However, through the experience of raising her own children and actively supporting others in her community, she discovered a passion for early childhood education. Ms. Monica's experience with children began within her own home and extended into her community, where she offered support to other families.Ms. Monica is fluent in English and Spanish. Ms. Monica finds great joy in working with children and finds enjoy in a variety of hobbies, she loves watching movies, visiting parks or libraries.

    Ms. Sandra's hands-on experience as a mother of three, coupled with her work with infants and toddlers, has provided her with insight into early childhood education. Ms. Sandra's wealth of experience primarily comes from her extensive interaction with infants and toddlers. These experiences have given her insight into the needs of children at different developmental stages. Ms. Sandra values the opportunity to contribute to their developmental journey and observe them as they learn essential skills. She enjoys seeing the growth in their social-emotional, physical, and cognitive abilities.
  • Ms Stella

    Ms Stella

    Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Stella is an assistant teacher here at The Goddard School. She graduated from high school in 2022 and has since been gaining experience in an educational setting. Ms. Stella has worked as a camp counselor for the Cambridge Mayor’s program and spent two years as an after-school teacher. Ms. Stella’s passion for working with children is also influenced by her time spent caring for her siblings and cousins. Ms. Stella has many hobbies which include traveling, spending time with friends and drawing. Ms. Stella values creativity and is dedicated to teaching lessons that encourage children to express themselves.
  • Ms Zoha

    Ms Zoha

    Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Zoha is currently pursuing a degree in Dental Hygiene at Middlesex Community College. In addition to her studies, Ms. Zoha worked as a manufacturing assistant. Outside of her professional career, she has a genuine love for teaching, playing, and spending time with children. This passion is demonstrated in her ability to engage with children in a way that is both educational and fun. Ms. Zoha's enjoys playing soccer and badminton. Additionally, she is multilingual, speaking English, Urdu, Hindi, and Pashto.

    Ms. Alki is originally from Thessaloniki Greece and has been living in MA since 1992. She attended Mount Ida College in Newton, MA majoring in Early Childhood Education and has been working in this field since 1997. Ms. Alki speaks English and Greek and enjoys being a part of each child’s life.
