Ms Bratati
Teacher
Ms. Bratati holds dual master’s degrees, one in History from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, and another in Child and Adolescent Development from San José State University, California. She began her career teaching social studies to middle school students in India and later moved to California, where she has taught visual art in middle schools serving diverse communities.
With over a decade of teaching experience, her philosophy centers on nurturing the whole child, fostering curiosity, empathy, and resilience while creating inclusive spaces where every student feels respected and supported. Bratati’s work is further enriched by her involvement in museums and community programs that integrate art, culture, and social-emotional learning.
Fluent in Hindi, Bengali, and English, she values multilingualism as a bridge to understanding and embraces cultural diversity in her classrooms. Outside of teaching, she enjoys painting, visiting national parks, and walking her dog.
