Our Goddard School Teachers

Mr. Mike is the Owner of our school. He and his wife, Shanna, purchased the school in June 2026. As parents of two Goddard graduates, Mike & Shanna saw the benefit of a safe learning environment where their children could excel academically and socially. This is the main reason they chose to come back to the Goddard family as owners! Mike was raised in a small-town farming community and grew up in a large family—he is one of 21 grandchildren. His professional experience includes 20+ years of business management, sales, and compliance in industries from industrial supplies to pharmaceuticals. Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Minor in Accounting from Winona State University, MN.

Ms. Shanna is the Owner of our school, along with her husband Mike. She was eager to become a part of the Goddard family again, as their children, Quinn & Carter, both graduated from Goddard Schools and were more than ready for kindergarten because of the care and intentionality of their teachers. Shanna grew up west of Chicago and moved to Indiana when she started her undergrad at Butler University, majoring in English and secondary education, and minoring in music. While Shanna has spent most of her career as an English teacher, her 24 years of experience have also included curriculum development, vertical articulation, and accommodating students’ individualized education plans. She is currently a doctoral student in the Literacy, Culture, & Language Education program at Indiana University.

Ms. Sandie has been with The Goddard School since 2022. She has her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Ms. Tina works hand-in-hand with our Director to keep us running on a daily basis. She is also an excellent resource for all classrooms and has been here at Goddard since 2019. With over 28 years of teaching experience, she believes children learn best with praise and patience. Tina brings so much energy to every classroom that she’s in, and it shows by the impact she has on every student.

Ms. Jessica joined our Goddard family in 2011 and has been an essential part of our Pre-K program for several years! She has a Child Development Associates Degree equivalent. She is a go-to person for advice on all educational matters and possesses a fantastic talent for blending fun with learning. One of her favorite aspects of being a teacher is witnessing children’s excitement as they accomplish new things.

Ms. Andrea has been teaching at Goddard since 2023 and is currently pursuing her degree in early childhood education. Ms. Andrea is the lead teacher in one of our Pre-K classrooms and manages the front office every afternoon. She enjoys singing, particularly Disney music, and is fluent in both English and Spanish. Ms. Andrea loves the journey her students take as they grow and learn throughout the school year.

Ms. Gretchen joined our family at Goddard in 2025 and just received her Child Development Associate certification in early childhood education. She is the lead teacher in our Twos classroom and loves helping her students achieve new milestones in fun ways. Ms. Gretchen enjoys singing and does a fantastic job of creating a magical classroom that ignites creativity and imagination in all her students.

Ms. Destiny joined our Goddard family in 2026 and has her Child Development Associate certification in early childhood education. Previous to our school, she has over 6 years of preschool experience including 3 years at another Goddard School. She is the lead teacher in our Preschool classroom and loves to laugh & learn with her students. She is an avid reader and enjoys sharing that love of reading in her classroom.

Ms. Alesha has her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ivy Tech. She has been a part of our Goddard family since 2009 and has over 26 years of experience teaching. Ms. Alesha loves creating exciting projects for kids to enjoy while they learn, offering excellent hands-on experiences that are relevant to any subject or time of year.

Ms. Carly joined our Goddard family in 2025 and has her Child Development Associate Certification. She is a lead teacher in a toddler classroom and is pursuing studies in ministry. One thing that Ms. Carly loves about teaching is seeing the excitement and confidence that her students show when accomplishing something new.

Ms. Annie joined Goddard in 2025 and holds an associate’s degree in early childhood education. Ms. Annie is an excellent addition to any classroom she visits. She loves seeing students grasp new concepts and skills while developing their creative skills and imagination.

Ms Kelly is the longest tenured employee at The Goddard School of Brownsburg, starting in 2009. She makes sure nutritious meals get to each child every day. She is indispensable and when she's gone, it feels like it takes four people to replace her!

Ms. Kim joined our Pre-K classroom in 2024, and it's almost impossible to believe this is her first teaching position! She is terrific at creating a calm and engaging learning environment, and her love for her students and teaching is evident. Ms. Kim loves seeing the unique personalities of the students shine through as they grow and become more confident and independent.

Olivia has been with us since 2021 and has such a calm and positive influence on her students. As a co-teacher in one of our preschool classrooms, one of Olivia’s favorite things is listening to the children and sharing laughs with them. She believes children learn best when given an encouraging and supportive environment that fosters the development of their imagination.

Ms. Anna has her CDA and was one of our lead preschool teachers but is soon to be a librarian! She loves seeing the growth and development in her students and feels that children learn best through play and when given a variety of experiences to try new things. She believes that making children feel loved and safe is the key to anything being possible.

Ms. Dimple joined our Goddard family in 2024 as an afternoon resource and float. She is exceptional at working with children of all ages and enjoys teaching them through engaging activities.
