  • Mrs Laura

    Mrs Laura

    Owner/Operator
    Mrs. Laura is the on-site owner of the Goddard School of Tysons. She has been a part of the Goddard family since 2017, working with The Goddard School in Rockville, Maryland as a management consultant. Laura received the honor of Summa Cum Laude while studying business administration at Notre Dame of Maryland University. Her previous work experience was focused on business administration in the academic and clinical settings at Johns Hopkins University and Hospital, in Baltimore, Maryland. During that time, she managed business and clinical and research operations, and finance and at Johns Hopkins University. Mrs. Laura is a dedicated wife, sister, and daughter. She has been married to Mr. Brad and has a large immediate family with three siblings, five nephews and three nieces. Mrs. Laura sees the school as an extension of her family and believes the environment created within the school can shape a young child’s outlook on education and inspire them to be a life-long learner.
  • Ms Leonise (Lulu)

    Ms Leonise (Lulu)

    Director
    Ms. Lulu joined the Goddard family in 2009 at The Goddard School in Rockville, Maryland. In 2019, she transitioned to Academic Director at The Goddard School of Tysons. Ms. Lulu is an instrumental leader in our school’s academic development. She holds a master’s degree in Teacher Leadership, Mentoring & Supervision, and a Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies concentrating on curriculum planning and implementation. Ms. Lulu has over 30 years of teaching experience with ages 2-8. Ms. Lulu wishes to model respect and positive communication with students in a nurturing, fun, and safe learning environment.

    Ms Muna

    Assistant Director
    Ms. Muna has completed her bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and she began teaching preschool aged children in 2002. Since then she has had experience teaching in infant, toddler, preschool, and pre-K programs. Ms. Muna joined The Goddard School of Tysons as a teacher in March of 2019. She started working as a Program Supervisor in 2021, and became our Assistant Director in 2022. Ms. Muna is a wonderful wife to her husband, Mohamed, and she has one beautiful daughter, Shahd, who she would do anything for. She believes that education is the key to a happy life. She looks forward to helping each child unlock their potential as they learn and grow in our school.

    Ms Kristin

    Program Supervisor
    Ms. Kristin has bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northern Arizona University and hopes to obtain a master’s in occupational therapy. Ms. Kristin has many years of experience working with children and youth, including over 2 years teaching in K-5. She joined our Goddard family as a Pre-K teacher in March 2022 and became a program supervisor in August of 2023. Ms. Kristin comes from a big military family with 3 brothers and a sister. She Lives with her wonderful husband, Zach, who she married in 2023. Ms. Kristin loves that here at The Goddard School the teachers and children are one big family. She strives to always lead with kindness, empathy, patience, and an excitement for learning and growth.

    Mrs Omur

    Kindergarten Teacher
    Mrs. Omur joined The Goddard School in August of 2021. Mrs. Omur has 11 years of teaching experience in grades K-12, along with four years of hands-on teaching within Kindergarten and Pre-K. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Language and Literature, and her master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Mrs. Omur is a dedicated teacher, lifetime learner, and Goddard School parent. Her philosophy of teaching is to create a positive structured environment where no child is left behind. Mrs. Omur’s goal for this year is to promote open lines of communication with parents and students by providing consistent feedback on student’s learning progress, as well as physical and emotional development.

    Ms Maria Elena

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Maria Elena (Ms. K) joined The Goddard School of Tysons in August of 2021. Ms. K has a Bachelor's degree in Early Education and has been working in the early childhood education setting for 10 years. She speaks three languages including English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Ms. K a loving wife to her husband, Adrian, and mother to her son, Nick. Ms. K believes that teaching children calmness and kindness are the keys to achieving their future goals.

    Ms Ruth

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Ruth has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from George Mason University. She has 3 years of experience teaching preschool. Ms. Ruth was born in Ethiopia and her family moved to the United States when she was young. She speaks Amharic and English. She loves the community of teachers here at Goddard and she wishes to model friendliness, kindness, and patience to help the children be successful.
  • Ms Rosario

    Ms Rosario

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Rosario studied Early Childhood Education in California. She has been teaching in our Pre-K program since 2022. Ms. Rosario has had more than 25 years of experience teaching Pre-K. Ms. Rosario is from Bolivia and speaks both Spanish and English. She is a mother to one son who is 14 years old. She loves spending time with him and her husband during her free time.

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Claudia joined The Goddard School of Tysons in November of 2021. Ms. Claudia is currently pursuing a degree in Business. She has over one year of experience working as an assistant teacher. Ms. Claudia is fluent in English and Spanish. Ms. Claudia strives to show her students how a positive mindset can help them overcome challenges.

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Ester has her degree from Panama University and is currently pursuing her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. She has been teaching preschool for 3 years, and she has been teaching for a total of 7 years. Ms. Ester is from Panama and is fluent in both Spanish and English. She is the wonderful mother of 2 and loves the Goddard School because of the kind community and staff. She hopes to model honestly and respect to help the children find success.
  • Ms Sandra

    Ms Sandra

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Sandra has a bechelor's degree in Marketing and Advertising and is working toward her Child Development Associate Credential (CDA). She began her teaching career working with infants and toddlers. She has expanded and has now worked with all age groups in early childhood education, including preschool and pre-K since 2019. Ms. Sandra is from Bogota, Colombia. She lives here with her husband, Federico, and their sweet dog, Zuki. She loves being able to speak English as well as her native Spanish in the classroom. Ms. Sandra loves to see how curious and passionate children are about learning new things. She loves the caring and supportive environment at The Goddard School and strives to model independence to the children to help them feel confident and proud of their own achievements.

    Ms. Sumaira comes from Pakistan where she was a Medical Doctor, specializing in anesthesiology. She lives here with her husband and two beautiful daughters. Ms. Sumaira loves how The Goddard School is a nurturing space for all children to learn and grow. She believes that we must provide children with extra care and attention in order to help them blossom.

    Ms. Shroug joined The Goddard School of Tysons in December of 2020. Ms. Shroug has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and decided to pursue her CDA to follow her passion for teaching and working with children. Ms. Shroug loves watching the children in her care grow and achieve goals as a team and as individuals. She believes that teamwork makes the dream work!

    Ms Zyra

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Zyra Received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in the Philippines and has begun a master’s program in Educational Management. She began her teaching career in 2013. Ms. Zyra is originally from the Philippines. She moved here in 2023 and is fluent in both Tagalog and English. Ms. Zyra has 2 beautiful children and is a wonderful wife to her husband. She loves the Goddard School because it is a cozy environment where the faculty and staff are all very kind and loving, and where the children and parents are all lovable and respectful. She hopes to model patience and kindness to others, as well as responsibility to help the children be successful.

    Mrs. Yashu joined the Goddard family in 2017 in Denver, CO. After relocating to Virginia with her family, Mrs. Yashu joined The Goddard School of Tysons in August of 2018. Mrs. Yashu's professional training is in Early Childhood Education and has completed her Lead Teacher ECE coursework. Mrs. Yashu was born and raised in India and moved to the United States with her husband. She is a loving wife and mother. She loves the enthusiasm and passion her students have for exploring new subjects and trying new things. She enjoys helping her students become more independent and reach new milestones.

    Ms. Almira joined The Goddard School of Tysons in July of 2019. She has her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education, and began her teaching career in 2003. In 2016, she transitioned to working with toddler and preschool age students. She loves The Goddard School for its prestigious learning environment and well-respected reputation. She wants to help every child be positive, calm, and smile always.
  • Ms Ulkar

    Ms Ulkar

    Teacher
    Ms. Ulkar has her degree in pre-school education from Baku Humanitarian College. She is originally from Baku, Azerbaijan, and speaks English, Turkish, Azerbaijani, and basic Russian. Ms. Ulkar lives here with her husband, Mohamed, and she loves the Goddard School because of the warm and friendly environment. Ms. Ulkar strives to help children be successful by helping them to learn routines to build confidence.

    Ms. Jessica is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in education. She is enrolled at NOVA and will move onto a 4 year university when her time at NOVA is completed. She has been teaching preschool since 2021 and joined the Goddard family in 2023. Ms. Jessica has 4 older brothers and 9 nieces and nephews whom she adores. She loves being at Goddard because of the kindness she feels and the curriculum that focuses on building children up in all areas of life. Ms. Jessica strives to set an example of kindness, love, and forgiveness for all.
  • Ms Kristin

    Ms Kristin

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Kristin joined The Goddard School of Tysons in May of 2019. She has completed her Child Development Associates and has been teaching within Early Childhood Education since 1994. Ms. Kristin is a mom of two adult children John and Sara and is an active member of the Vienna community. Ms. Kristin loves the openness of the teaching staff and the excitement of children to learn. She wishes to model proper social skills and fun learning through play.
  • Mrs Reyna

    Mrs Reyna

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Reyna has her bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and her Master’s in Education with a specialization in Reading. She has been working in childcare since she was very young and has over 5 years’ experience teaching in public schools. Ms. Reyna is Hispanic American. She lives here with her husband, Sakib, and their dog, Lucy. Ms. Reyna is passionate about children learning and growing through hands-on exploration. She wishes to model kindness, safety, and love for all things and people in order to help the children in her care be successful.
  • Ms Ibolya

    Ms Ibolya

    Ms. Ibolya has her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. She also has her Child Development Associate. Ms. Ibolya had over 20 years of teaching experience before she joined our team in 2023. Ms. Ibolya is originally from Hungary and is fluent in both Hungarian and English. She is a wonderful mother to her son who she adores and is very proud of. Ms. Ibolya loves the learning environment here at The Goddard School because the teachers are passionate about their work and it reflects in the motivation of the children. She also loves how all the teachers work together and she hopes to always model positivity for the children.
  • Ms Kailey

    Ms Kailey

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Kailey has a Bachelor of Arts in English and plans to pursue a business degree next. She has been working with children for 8 years. She has worked as an ABA Therapist, a tutor, and has been teaching preschool since 2020. Ms. Kailey comes from a big family and is the oldest of 10 kids! She grew up going back and forth between Virginia and Namibia and is fluent in both English and Afrikaans. She loves the kindness she feels at Goddard, and works to model independence and patience.
  • Ms Urooj

    Ms Urooj

    Resource Teacher
    Ms. Urooj joined The Goddard School of Tysons in June of 2021. Ms. Urooj has her bachelor’s degree in Home Economics and has 4 years of experience as an assistant teacher in a preschool setting. Ms. Urooj believes in creating a loving, caring, and supportive environment for the children to help them flourish.
  • Ms Mikala

    Ms Mikala

    Resource Teacher
    Ms. Mikala has a bachelor’s degree in Russian and Criminal Justice. She is currently pursuing a law degree. Ms. Mikala had 2.5 years teaching experience prior to joining our team in 2022. Ms. Mikala is originally from New Jersey and has one brother. She grew up living very close to her cousins and so is very family oriented. She speaks English and some Russian. Ms. Mikala loves watching children grow and seeing how excited they get when they learn something new. She hopes to model kindness, confidence, and compassion to help children in her care be successful.
  •  Jasmine

    Jasmine

    Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Jasmine is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Child Development from the University of Arizona. She was originally studying nursing, but realized that her true passion was working with children. Since that realization, Ms. Jasmine has worked with children in variety of capacities, including coaching soccer for children ages 2-8 for 2 years. Ms. Jasmine is originally from South Carolina, where most of her family still lives, including her parents and a younger sister. She also has a brother in Texas, and misses all of her family dearly. Ms. Jasmine loves the structure and the warm, fun community and environment here at The Goddard School because they allow for both students and teachers to grow. She works to help her students learn that self-confidence and kindness to others will take them far as they interact with others and build connections.

    Mandarin & Art Teacher
    Ms. Fan joined The Goddard School of Tysons in January of 2019. Ms Fan teaches the Mandarin and Art Enrichments for students age two through Kindergarten. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Design and specialized training in Education and Visual Design. Ms. Fan has been teaching preschool aged children, school aged children, teenagers, and college students for over thirteen years. She speaks Mandarin, English and French. Her husband and two daughters also speak these three languages fluently. Ms. Fan loves that the children at the Goddard School are full of curiosity. They are like sponges, absorbing new information, as well as natural born artists. Ms. Fan feels that the children’s innate artistic abilities make her more creative as a teacher. Ms. Fan wishes to model curiosity, creativity, and to be passionate and patient to her students.

    Music Teacher
    Mr. Shaun joined The Goddard School of Tysons in August of 2018. Mr. Shaun has his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Composition. He began his teaching career in 2003, and spent the majority of that time as an adjunct Music Professor. Mr. Shaun truly loves the Goddard school environment and watching students discover something new for the first time and seeing their daily breakthrough while learning music.
  • Ms Jenna

    Ms Jenna

    Music Enrichment Teacher
    Ms. Jenna has a bachelor's in Music Performance and a master’s of Music in Performance. She has 13 total years of experience teaching music, and 5 years of experience teaching Early Childhood Music. Ms. Jenna is a wonderful wife to her husband, Chris, and a dedicated “Dog Mom” to her rescue dog, Gizmo. She loves the emphasis of fun learning at Goddard and the diversity in the programs offered at our school. She hopes to help children learn that mistakes are part of the learning process and to always strive for their best work, even though we often don’t succeed right away.
