    As owners of The Goddard School of Manassas, Rebecca Chen, together with her husband Lian, have always valued the fundamental role that quality education plays in fostering socialization, creativity and learning in children. As proud parents, of two young daughters who attended and successfully completed The Goddard School educational philosophy, Rebecca and Lian realized that other families could benefit from Goddard’s Fun, Learning Experience or F.L.E.X. An alumnus of the University of Maryland, Rebecca is a passionate educator with 14 years of experience including working with children with autism at Montgomery County Public Schools. As a teacher Rebecca sought to always ensure school, career and more importantly life-readiness was available to all her students. Thus, in 2019, Rebecca and Lian’s joint aspiration culminated in the offering of the highest quality early childhood experience for the communities of Manassas City and Prince William County.
  • Ms Michelle

    Ms Michelle

    Director
    Ms. Michelle has 8 years of experience working with children, she has taught first and second grade students in a private school setting and was a Vice Principal in a private elementary school where she oversaw the Administration department along with her other duties. Ms. Michelle has an Early Childhood Education diploma, is First Aid and CPR certified, and is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Ms. Michelle believes that it is more important to nurture and spark a love for exploration in kids than it is to simply teach them facts; facts may change over time, but a love for exploration will remain with them for the rest of their lives and will lead them on great adventures to discoveries.

    Ms Andrea

    Assistant Director
    Ms. Andrea has over 16 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, she received her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from Notre Dame of Maryland University and an associate degree in Child Development from Luzerne County Community College. Ms. Andrea holds a First Aid and CPR Certification and an Abuse Prevention Certification. She really enjoys working and being around children. She likes to do arts & crafts and enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her cat Lily.

    Ms Deonna

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Deonna has more than 5 years of experience working with children of all ages. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology from George Mason University. Ms. Deonna loves helping children cultivate skills and develop confidence in their abilities, no matter the age. Her journey working with children has continued to expand in the past 5 years, and she’s excited to see what the future has in store.

    Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Alma has over 25 years of experience working with children from infants to school age. Her time spent working as a nanny and with children with autism encouraged to purse her CDA. She sees her role in the classroom as an opportunity for children to learn in an atmosphere of respect, kindness, and belief in each other’s potential. Ms. Alma believes she has found fulfillment by helping children shape the future. In her spare time, she enjoys baking both sweet and savory pastry.

    Ms. Leda is currently pursuing a master’s degree at George Mason University, she earned her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from George Mason University. Ms. Leda has 6 years of teaching experience working with all age groups. She holds a First Aid & CPR Certificate. Ms. Leda enjoys working with children and watching them learn, grow, and play. She believes it’s important to nurture children, so they feel loved and develop a strong sense of belonging. It brings Ms. Leda joy when she sees children meet their developmental milestones. Ms. Leda believes the purpose of education is to ensure all children learn and grow to the best of their abilities. Ms. Leda enjoys modeling expectations using developmentally appropriate cues, songs, and visuals. Ms. Leda enjoys art, singing, puzzles and spending time with family and friends.

    Ms. Rebekah has 5 years of experience in teaching with children in all ages. She holds her Child Development Associates. Ms. Rebekah loves to see children learn and grow everyday. Ms. Rebekah loves spending time with her nieces and nephews.

    Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Lamyea has over 5 years of experience working with children of all ages. Her favorite thing about working with children is being able to witness them achieve new milestones. In her spare time Ms. Lamyea likes to paint, go on hikes, and learn to cook new recipes. Ms. Lamyea is currently pursing her degree in Early Childhood Education.

    Ms Hayley

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Hayley has over 10+ years of childcare experience, ranging from infant to school age, with a focus on young toddlers. She has her CPR/First Aid certifications and holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She knows that she can make a difference and help children succeed. The teaching environment at Goddard is excellent. She loves getting to meet her families, checking out new restaurants, and going for walks with her dog.
  • Ms Haliy

    Ms Haliy

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Haliy has 13 years of teaching experience working with children from infants to high school. Ms. Haliy holds Child Development Associate certificate, and bachelor’s in computer science. Ms. Haily feels that since every child is unique, it is the role of the teacher to nurture and encourage that uniqueness. A muti-lingual speaker, Ms. Haliy speaks English, Persian, Dari, Pashto, Urdu and Arabic and is currently learning Spanish. As a mother of two children, she enjoys traveling with her family to learn and experience new places, cultures, and food.
  • Ms Zuhra

    Ms Zuhra

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Zuhra is a professional Early Childhood Development Teacher with a demonstrated history of working in the early education industry with different settings. She has been teaching infants through older toddlers for over five years. She holds her certificate in Infant and Toddler Career Studies and owns an associate degree in applied science, focusing on Early Child Education Development from Northern Virginia Community College. Currently, she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Administration from Purdue Global University. As a proficient teacher, she tries to have the highest standards of information in early childhood education and development with nurturing care to help children while developing physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.
  • Ms Cienna

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Cienna has over 10 years of experience working with children from infants through school age in many different capacities. She has earned her Associate’s Degree in Social Sciences with a special interest in Child Development and Psychology. Ms. Cienna is very passionate about helping children learn and grow in all areas of their development. She strives to create a fun, creative and positive environment that nurtures every child’s individual needs. Ms. Cienna is also a mom of 3 boys so much of her free time is spent at various sporting events cheering them on.

    Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Aakira has 4 years of teaching experience with children of all ages. Before joined The Goddard School, she was a behavioral therapist for children with special needs. She believes that every child is unique in their own way. Ms. Aakira is hoping to inspire all children to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. Ms. Aakira is currently pursuing her CDA.

    With seven years of experience teaching Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten, Miss Allie has an eye for making all things beautiful and loves bringing creativity, critical thinking, and culinary skills to the classroom. She believes that children thrive in an environment where they can be their most unique selves and grow their social, emotional, and mental skills through its purest form- play. Ms. Allie’s passions outside of work consist of mastering her culinary skills, by perfecting a well-balanced charcuterie board. Spending quality time with her close circle of friends, and supportive family.

    Ms. Angie is a respected assistant teacher with a wealth of academic and practical experience well-suited to the dynamic domain of early childhood education. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Theology from University of Lima, with a specialized emphasis on Biblical studies, attesting to her dedication to profound intellectual inquiry and ethical education. With a comprehensive professional history encompassing care for toddlers through pre-kindergarten students, Angie possesses extensive expertise in early childhood development. She cultivates an environment that is both nurturing and structured, facilitating a solid foundation of knowledge and fostering the growth of young learners.
