    Mrs Abha

    Abha is originally from Bombay (now Mumbai), India where she obtained her Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from University of Mumbai. She then came to the US to obtain for a Master’s degree from George Washington University in DC. She is married to Bhushan who is the co-owner of the school and together they have 2 lovely children. Abha has been in the teaching profession for the past 11 years in various capacities. She has a passion for working with children and firmly believes in the philosophy that each child is unique in his or her own ways and the curriculum should be personalized to match their uniqueness. That belief resonates with the Goddard philosophy. Her Vision for the school: ‘At Goddard, we create a safe environment which fosters curiosity, confidence and empathy within the children. The positive Foundation will instill a passion for lifelong learning.’

    Ms Kimberley

    Center Director
    Ms. Kim has over 20 plus years in the Early Childhood industry. She grew up most of her childhood years in Loudoun County. She moved here when she was almost ten years old from Texas. She started to follow her heart with her passion in life by working with children, while attending the local high school and hasn't looked back since. Every child has so much to share; let them explore the world around them and beyond. She has two grown sons. Plus, a bonus family of three children, three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild soon. Ms. Kim has orchestrated successful events with over 300+ attendees that brought together the community. She has achieved the following accolades as a Program Administrator/Director position with NAEYC; requirements under the Alternative Pathways including her Early Childhood degree and her CDA. Her experience started from the ground up from teaching to directing. Policies and procedures may have changed over the years but, showing kindness and love has not!

    Assistant Director
    Ms. Marilynn is our Assistant Director at The Goddard School of Herndon. She brings to us over 10 years of experience within Early Childhood Education. She graduated from Virginia State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education in 2012. Ms. Marilynn loves being able to help provide exceptional care to all students on a daily basis.
  • Ms Ann Priyadarshani

    Ms Ann Priyadarshani

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Priya is the current Lead Teacher who works with our 3-year-old group. She has 26 years of experience in infant through toddler care and enjoys teaching them new ideas using the "learn through play" philosophy. Priya also works with children to help them grow cognitively, emotionally, physically, and socially so that they can succeed in their futures!

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Brittani is the Lead- Teacher in our Infant Program. She is a native to the Dulles area where she has two children of her own. Ms. Brittani became a teacher after spending time raising her own children. She developed such a passion for watching young minds grow, so she further her education to obtain her CDA credentials and studied Early Childhood Development. Ms. Brittani has been teaching for over 10 years now, and absolutely loves it!

    Ms. Candice has been a Lead- Teacher since 2018. She enjoys working with children as it is her passion. She loves to see her young toddlers thrive and learn new things every single day. Ms. Candice is a loving and caring teacher. We are so happy to have her a part of our team.

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Jada is a Lead-Teacher in our Preschool class. She holds a B. A. in Psychology and brings to us 6 years of teaching experience. Jada is originally from Michigan but moved to NoVA 2 years ago to begin her Master’s Degree in Counseling and Clinical Psychology. Jada believes that the preschool age group is the perfect time to impact a child’s life in a very positive way. Ms. Jada helps children to believe in themselves and guides them to pursue their goals. One of Ms. Jada's favorite quote is "A day without laughter is a day wasted."

    Ms. Leyra has a very diverse educational background. She has worked in the following settings: Montessori, Private, and Public School settings. Ms. Leyra enjoys working with our preschool students. She really loves teaching Spanish and it warms her heart to see her students pick up the language so fast.

    Ms. Mimi is a Lead-Techer for the First Steps classroom at The Goddard School of Herndon. She holds 8+ years working with infants and toddlers. Her certifications include: Early Childhood Care and Child Development. During her personal time Ms. Mimi enjoys creating crafts and reading. She believes every child is special in their own way. Ms. Mimi absolutely loves working with kids and getting to know their families.

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Padimini is a Pre-K Lead- Teacher at The Goddard School of Herndon. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and holds more than 5+ years of experience working in an Early Childhood setting. Ms. Padmini was awarded "Teacher of The Year" in 2020. Her teaching philosophy includes the greatest sign of success for a teacher is to be able to say, ‘The children are now working as if I do not exist’. We are proud to have Ms. Padimini be a part of our school.

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Rita Sharma, is a Lead Teacher in our Early Preschool classroom. Ms. Rita came to the U.S. in 1983 after marrying a humble IT professional. She has been blessed with two great sons, whom are now MDs as well as their spouses. Above all she is now a proud grandmother of a sweet little girl. Ms. Rita holds a bachelor degree in Psychology, CDA, and has taken courses to enhance her skill set such as Children and Adolescents, Infants/ Toddlers Curriculum/ Development Teaching etc. at Northern VA Community College. Ms. Rita brings to us over 30 years of working experience with children age group from one to twelve and has worked as part time director. Ms. Rita is privileged to be part of each young one’s life. She strongly believe children blossom and learn through play while in a safe and comfortable environment. I strive to teach my students early academics but also social, motor, adaptive skills and discoveries. Ms. Rita is a loving, caring, honest, and a hard working person. She enjoys nature, dance, cooking, art, reading, and organizing.

    Ms. Adella has been working for The Goddard School of Herndon as an Assistant Teacher since June 2021. She brings to us over 3+ years of experience within the a classroom setting. She enjoys doing activities with her students and loves to see them learn new things. In her spare time, Ms. Adella enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys listening to music and watching movies.

    Ms. Julia is an Assistant Teacher at The Goddard School. She is from Colombia. She likes working with children because they are the best of human beings. Children are so innocent but curious about everything. Ms. Julia says, "Taking care of children and their daily needs is one of the best jobs I've ever had."

    Ms. Manvi Dogra is an Assistant Teacher in our Pre-k classroom. She holds a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Computer Application & Master of Computer Application degrees. Her experience includes 4+ years as a Convent Middle School Teacher. She also had Volunteer experience in non-profit organizations - Beacon of Adult Literacy and Cornerstone (affiliated to AirBus). Ms. Manvi is passionate about teaching young minds and believes that with hard-work & dedication the best values of education can be incorporated into them. These values are the key to unlock a better future for the children.

    Ms. Yanira was born and raised in USA. She grew up watching her mother run her own home daycare for years. She remembers helping her and growing a love/passion for early childhood education. Ms. Yanira is a CNA and has decided to make a career switch to pursue teaching. When she joined The Goddard school in 2021 she says "Every single day I learn something new and funny from my students."

    My name is Ms. Zarifa and I am an Assistant Teacher at The Goddard School of Herndon. I believe in creating a learning environment which students feel comfortable to be themselves. To me it's extremely important for students to feel safe and comfortable enough to ask questions.

    Ms. Micaela is one of our Resource teachers who assists in the classrooms as well as the kitchen. Ms. Micaela has several years of experience working with children and is very familiar with the early preschool environment. Ms. Micaela is eager to work with our students every day and is happy to be a part of our Goddard Team!

    Ms Wilma

    Ms. Wilma is our Music/Floater Teacher. She is from Bolivia. She studied music in 1976-1980. Ms. Wilma use to teach music in High School and Primary School back in her country. Here at The Goddard School she plays guitar and sings with our children.
