Our Teachers

Kendall has been a part of The Goddard School located in Glen Allen since 2001. She has since replaced her mother, Valerie Denton, as onsite owner. With a background in business, she strives to continue to carry out the schools original goals of not only being a safe, nurturing and educational environment, but also one that stresses the importance of family and communication. Kendall is a mother of three boys and finds The Goddard Flex curriculum is a vital part of creating a life long love of learning. She feels the environment should not only be supportive and positive for the student, but also for the parents.

Tracy has been with The Goddard School since July of 2001. She has her Bachelor in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Minor in Psychology from Radford University. Ms. Tracy has two sons that have graduated from Goddard. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Tracy loves watching all of the children grow through each stage of their development. She welcomes communication with parents and staff.

Michelle has been with the Goddard School since August of 2005. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and has been involved in the field Early Childhood Education for over 20 years. Michelle enjoys gardening and baking for friends and family during her free time. She looks forward to being part of your child’s growth and development in Early Childhood Education. She loves that every day with children is a new adventure!

Ms. Hannah joined our team in July of 2014. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from Radford University. Hannah loves hearing what children have to say about the world.

Ms. LaDonna joined our team in March 2022. She came to us with over 5 years of childcare experience. LaDonna loves helping babies discover new things and watching them grow. She loves all the babies as if they were her own. She has two children who are her entire world.

Ms. Amber joined us in September 2021. She has over 4 years of childcare experience. She has a career studies certificate in early childhood education and received her CDA in June of 2023. Her favorite thing about working with children is watching them learn and grow each day. She loves her babies and says the smiles, cooing and giggles make her day.

Ms. Lisa has been at The Goddard School since 2006. She has worked with children ranging from 12 weeks to 12 years of age. Ms. Lisa has been our infant teacher for over 15 years. She believes that the best part about her job is knowing that she helps children discover the world.

Mrs. Wafaa comes to us with many years of experience in raising her own 4 children. She has found her nitch in our infant room and the babies absolutely adore her. Her favorite thing about working with children is helping her babies discover new things.

Ms. Grace joined our team in April 2019. She is a graduate of Alpha Omega Academy. Grace enjoys watching children of all ages grow and develop. Her hobbies include painting and going to the gym. Grace prides herself on being a hard worker and promises to provide the children with the love and knowledge they all deserve.

Ms. Kaitlyn joined our team in September 2021. She is a Harlem High School graduate and has over 5 years of childcare experience. Her favorite thing about working with children is to see them learn and grow each day! Kaitlyn enjoys doing puzzles and going out to dinner with her family.

Ms. Aylissa joined our team in October 2021. She is an Atlee High School graduate and currently working on her business degree. Aylissa loves hearing all the funny stories children tell.

Ms. Melinda has over 23 years of experience in childcare many of them here at Goddard since starting in 2004. Ms. Melinda loves watching children grow and experience life. She enjoys reading and watching tv in her spare time.

Ms. Stacie joined our team in September 2021. She is a Hermitage High School graduate. Stacie's favorite thing about working with kids is seeing the kids learn and grow into their own personalities. She enjoys reading, painting, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.

Ms. April joined us in September 2021. She is currently working towards obtaining her CDA. Her favorite thing about working with children is helping to shape their minds for the future. April loves the outdoors and enjoys kayaking, cooking, and reading. In addition to teaching our little ones, she trains adults in kayaking, rustic cooking, and identifying edible plants.

Ms. Nataliia began working with children in the past year and started with us in February of 2024. She loves to communicate with the children and help them use their imagination and creativity. Nataliia enjoys hiking and yoga.

Ms. Cathy has over 3 decades of experience working with children. She joined our team in 2018. Cathy finds great reward in exploring the world through the eyes of children. She loves to see them discover new ideas. Cathy enjoys crafting and photography. Her favorite place is the beach where she loves to collect shells that she shares with her class.

Ms. Jenny started with Goddard in 2023 and comes to us with over 18 years of experience in early childhood education. She loves that every day is a new adventure and finds her interactions rewarding. Ms. Jenny loves music, reading, art, and trying all the great restaurants in town. She enjoys every moment spent with your children.

Ms. Kyla joined the Goddard team in 2023 and loves watching the children use the information they learn in their environment. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She also spends her free time reading. Kyla is excited to get to know each of her families and students.

We are excited to have Nathalee as part of our team since 2023. She loves creating experiments with the children and seeing them discover the world around them.

Angela joined us in 2023 with over 4 years of experience in early childhood education. She loves to assist the children in building friendships with their peers and watching their personalities form. Outside of work, Angela enjoys crafting and traveling.

Ms. Liz joined our team in April of 2022 with 8 years of experience in childcare. She has her associates in early childhood education. Ms. Liz loves seeing the children get excited to learn something new every day. She enjoys kayaking, hiking, and crafting. Snuggling Kitty, her cat of ten years is one of her favorite lazy day activities.

Ms. Ally joined our team in January of 2024 and comes to us with 8 years of experience working with children of all ages. She loves the childrens creativity and imagination. Ally enjoys baking bread, sewing, and any physical outside activity. She comes from a large family with 4 sisters and 1 brother.

Ms. Bri is new to childcare and has jumped right into our program. She says she loves watching the children's creativity flow through the curriculum. Bri loves to read and is excited to advance in the field of childcare.

Mr. Vincent joined our team in April 2022. He has over 5 years of experience in childcare and is going to VCU for psychology. His favorite thing about his school-agers is building relationships with them.

Ms. Forrest joined the Goddard family in 2024. She loves the excitement the children bring to the classroom each day. In addition, she enjoys watching them grow and the look on their faces when they learn something new.

Ms. Journey joined the Goddard family in 2024. She loves interacting with the children and seeing their creativity come to life through meaningful play.

Ms. Dara joined The Goddard School in 2024. She loves watching the children grow throughout the years and see their skills improve. One of her favorite things about working with children is the hysterical things they say.

Ms. Brandy joined our faculty in 2018. She completed a CNA program and has Medical Assistant experience. Brandy has years of varied experience helping in the lives young children. She enjoys seeing growth every day when working with children.
