Our Teachers

Meet Mahjabeen and Imran Khan, the dedicated onsite owners of The Goddard School in Wylie, Texas! With a shared passion for high-quality education and inquiry-based learning, they are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can thrive. As parents of three children themselves, they understand the importance of a supportive and enriching educational experience. Their journey with The Goddard School began after relocating from Canada, where they immediately recognized the need for high-quality education in their new community. With backgrounds in leadership roles within the Technology & Cybersecurity industry, including Master’s degrees in Computer Sciences, Mathematics and Accounting, they bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their roles as school owners. They invite you to visit their school and experience firsthand how their program encourages children to discover and explore their interests in a supportive and stimulating environment.

Ms. Melissa is our Operations Director. She comes to us with over 30 years of experience and a degree in Early Childhood Education. She started her career path as a toddler teacher and worked her way up as a mentor, curriculum coordinator and then through the years to a Director position where she learned much more about the family and operations side of Early Childhood. Her passion is all things ECE, and partnering with everyone who value quality in education and accreditation. She and her husband, Eric, have 2 children, Carson who is 18 and Parker who is 10. As a family, they enjoy game nights, bowling, dining out and nerf gun wars. She enjoys dabbling in mixed media and paper crafting, gardening and reading. Ms. Melissa looks forward to partnering with families, and to working alongside the Goddard School’s team to help foster in children a lifelong love of learning, and confidence for life.

Ms. Jada is our Assistant Director of Curriculum . She has her Bachelor's degree in Health Science from the College of St. Scholastica, in Duluth Minnesota and her Master's degree in Psychology with a focus in Child and Adolescent Development from Capella University. Ms. Jada spends her free time traveling, trying new foods and experiencing new things. She hopes to use her experience to create strong bonds with the children and families.

Ms, Kierra is our Curriculum Coordinator/Office Admin.

Ms.Lucero is our Infant room teacher. She is bi-lingual and was born in Phoenix, Arizona. One of the most important experiences she has ever had is working with kids of all different ages from the past couple of years . She really enjoys those smiling faces every time she starts singing and dancing with them. She loves that children have a lot of fun learning by playing. She feels like a little girl again when she is with them. She has a two year old daughter, Adalyn, she is her joy at home and keeps her very busy. In her free time she really likes to paint, listen to music and dance. She also does a lot of DIY and reading with her daughter. Her favorite sport will always be basketball. Her philosophy to educate children is to always be at their best and always educate with love.

Ms. Rachael has been working in childcare for ten years and has worked with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. She loves spending her free time exercising and being outdoors. Ms. Rachael loves to research ways to be healthier and how to take care of others around her. Her favorite part of her day is seeing her babies master new milestones.

Ms. Acurris comes to Goddard with experience from working in a church run child care center for 2 years. In her free time she likes to read, shop, decorate, color and spend time with her family and two dogs. Ms. Acurris loves to teach her class new ways to be themselves. She also loves playing outside with them and being silly.

Ms. Nahar comes to Goddard with a college degree in Political Science from Bangladesh, where she obtained honors recognition. She has previous experience teaching at Montessori schools for 4 years. She is a wife and mother to one daughter and enjoys spending her time cooking, listening to music, walking, going to the gym, and trying new foods. Ms. Nahar loves reading and playing with the children each day to see them smile.

Ms. Uzma comes to Goddard with 10 years of experience. She has an undergrad in microbiology. Ms. Uzma has worked with all ages but especially loves working with infants. In her free time she loves to cook and spend time with her family. She is married with 3 children. Ms. Uzma loves feeding time in class because she can create a connection and bond with each baby.

Ms. Ashley comes to Goddard with a Bachelors of Science in Education with a focus in Elementary and Special Education. She has experience teaching at her church, and has previously worked in a Montessori school. Ms. Ashley likes to spend time with her parents and her younger brother. In her free time she likes listening to music, drawing, writing and crafting. Ms. Ashley's favorite part of her day is being greeted by the kids and being able to get to know each of them.

Ms. Sidra is the lead teacher in the Pre-kindergarten classroom. She has a bachelor’s degree in law and religion and she is also an AMS certified Montessori teacher. She has more than six years of experience in childcare working with the 18 months to 6 years age group. She is married and has three kids, an 11-year girl, and two boys 9 and 5 years. She loves teaching and has a passion for childcare and making a real difference in the lives of her students. She takes pride in contributing to the development of the children by offering a holistic student-centered approach.

Ms. Daisy has been with Goddard for a year and a half. She has seven siblings and loves spending time with her sister and niece. Ms. Daisy loves to go on car rides, watching the sunset, getting Boba and watching movies. She loves to come to work because she can help teach her class Spanish. Ms. Daisy loves making the kids laugh and playing fun games.

Ms. Jenna comes to Goddard with over 10 years of experience working in childcare. Ms. Jenna lives in a blended family with 7 children that keeps her very busy. In her free time she likes to cheer on her children in sports and spends her time watching baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer and football. Ms. Jenna loves spending time in the classroom doing art projects and playing magna tiles.

Ms. Renee comes to Goddard with 33 years of experience and genuinely enjoys nurturing and caring for preschoolers. Her philosophy is that each child is unique, therefore they learn and thrive at their own pace. he is married to her high school sweetheart who is a GISD Teacher and Assistant Pastor. She is a mother of 3 grown children, and a grandmother of 5. In her free time she loves to spend time with her family and journal. Ms. Renee loves leading her class in hands on STEM activities.

Ms. Lesli is a college student currently working on getting her associates in early childhood education at Collin College. When she is not working she loves spending time with her mom and going to concerts, spending time with friends, reading books and shopping. Ms. Lesli loves learning about curriculum, helping each child learn and seeing their smiling faces throughout the day.

Ms. Najah is our Pre-K Lead teacher for our Panthers Classroom

Ms. Shyan brings a wealth of experience as a dedicated Twos teacher, consistently making a significant impact on her students' lives. Her commitment is reflected in the warm and nurturing environment she creates daily. She goes above and beyond to ensure each child not only succeeds but also feels challenged and supported in their academic growth. Ms. Shyan's passion for education is evident in her relentless efforts to foster a caring and enriching classroom atmosphere where every student can thrive.

Ms. Sarah brings her dedication and expertise as a Support Teacher, having graduated from Texas A&M Commerce in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Education. Her lifelong passion for working with children is evident in her commitment to nurturing their growth and development. Ms. Sarah finds great joy in witnessing the learning process unfold, as she believes in creating an engaging and supportive environment where children can thrive. Her enthusiasm for teaching shines through, making her a cherished member of the educational community.

Ms. Valerie enriches each day at Goddard with enthusiasm and dedication. Currently pursuing her education degree, she finds joy in engaging with her students through reading, conversations, and laughter. Always forward-thinking, Ms. Valerie cultivates a positive and inclusive classroom environment, emphasizing the importance of individual bonds and fostering a dynamic atmosphere of fun and activity. Her passion lies in creating meaningful connections with each child, ensuring they feel valued and supported.

Ms. Zenab brings her passion for fostering fun and joy into her role as a Twos teacher. She finds immense satisfaction in seeing the children's smiles and delights in creating art that celebrates various cultural holidays. Ms. Zenab is dedicated to helping her young students connect with the world around them, ensuring they embrace diversity and cultural richness in their learning journey.
