Both NAEYC and Cognia accredited, Goddard Lake Houston is the premier private childcare, preschool, kindergarten, before & after school care, & summer camp experience in northeast Houston. We are excited to be a part of the Lake Houston community and we are honored to play a role in your child’s early childhood development!     Mrs. Rebecca is the Director at Goddard Lake Houston. She has 35 years of experience, 23 years in leadership. She has experience working for profit, non-profit, corporate, and small childcare centers. Rebecca currently is a member of NAEYC and Reggio Children, both benchmarks for high quality early childhood education. She manages 2 Assistant Directors and all our Teachers. In her role, she oversees all aspects of our operation, including health & safety, staffing, training, scheduling, and much more. Mrs. Rebecca is passionate about early childhood development and believes that all children deserve a quality early start to learning. She loves helping children grow and develop and she enjoys meeting new families. Mrs. Rebecca enjoys reading true crime books and watching scary movies. However, her favorite activity is riding her Harley Davidson motorcycle through the mountains with her husband. She holds a degree in Child Development and a CDA and is a State of Texas Certified

    Mrs Alyssa

    Assistant Director
    Mrs. Alyssa is an Assistant Director at Goddard Lake Houston. She has 11 years experience in the early childhood development industry. She fills many roles at Goddard Lake Houston: Answering phones, running the building, helping in the classrooms, touring, etc. Mrs. Alyssa is a social person and plans all of our internal and external social events. Mrs. Alyssa loves the classrooms. She actually started at Goddard Lake Houston as the Infant Assistant Teacher. Mrs. Alyssa is loving to all children and super nurturing. You are just as likely to see her holding a baby or walking the hallways with a child as you are anything else. Mrs. Alyssa is State of Texas Director Certified. She is married to Wesley (4 years) and has one son, Lincoln (1). She likes to read and bake, but her all-time favorite activity is anything that includes her and her boys.

    Assistant Director
    Miss Niesha is an Assistant Director at Goddard Lake Houston. She joined us in October 2022. Niesha has 13 years experience in the early childhood education industry. She wears many, many hats during the course of any day: Interacting with parents, running the building, doing tours, helping teachers, on and on. Niesha is our Health & Safety lead, which includes monthly mock quality assurance audits and conducting fire, intruder, and severe weather drills. Miss Niesha loves being around and interacting with children of all ages. She enjoys reading books with children and loves singing and dancing with them…Any music will do but her favorite is instructional/move & grove Miss Niesha recently completed Goddard Systems Director Training and she is pursuing her State of Texas Director License. She attended University of Southern Mississippi where she excelled at intramural basketball and walked on to the University team. Miss Niesha enjoys spending time with her family.

    Miss Hilda is the Lead Teacher in the Butterflies classroom. She has 15 years’ experience in the early childhood development industry and is Goddard Lake Houston’s longest tenured teacher! Hilda is Goddard Lake Houston’s version of Big Ben…She is always on time, never absent, and opens our building EVERY morning…She is an all-star and super consistent! Miss Hilda loves her classroom and won’t let anybody mess with it! As you might think, she has a very specific way she wants her classroom run, especially curriculum & cleaning. Miss Hilda is dedicated, works very hard, and has an amazing way of teaching 1-year-olds so much in a short period of time. Her class even sits at the table and eats lunch together (most of the time). She is super task oriented and won’t stop until the job is done. Hilda has 2 children, Melissa (34) and Mikayla (26), and 1 granddaughter, Luna (2).

    Mrs. Tiffany is our Private Kindergarten teacher in the Owls classroom. She has 9 years experience in the early childhood development industry and is one of Goddard Lake Houston’s longest tenured teachers! Mrs. Tiffany focuses individually on each child and makes learning fun. She teaches directly to the State of Texas TEKS. Each year she covers all kindergarten TEKS in the first 85% of the academic year, using the remaining 15% of the year to teach 1st grade TEKS to our Private Kindergarteners. Mrs Tiffany enjoys shaping the minds of young children. She is hard working, patient, and dedicated to making sure all of her students are extremely well prepared to excel in 1st grade and beyond. Mrs. Tiffany enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and fishing. She has a bachelors degree in Psychology. Mrs. Tiffany is married to Jimmy (2 years) and has 3 children: Jaxin (9), Emma (7), and Johnie (1).

    Miss Lorraine

    Miss Lorraine is a teacher in our Bumble Bees classroom. She joined Goddard Lake Houston in December 2019 and has 5 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Miss Lorraine has always loved babies and enjoys helping them meet milestones, such as crawling, sitting up, physical play, etc. She is very organized and insists her classroom look a certain way and is always clean. Miss Lorraine has tremendous patience and you are likely to find her on the floor playing with her kiddos. Her favorite activity with the babies is sensory play and painting. Miss Lorraine’s sister, Isabel, used to work for Goddard Lake Houston. She enjoys watching movies, spending time with her family, and hopes to go back to school some day soon. She has one son, Liandro (3).

    Miss Morgan is a teacher in our Owls classroom. She has 7 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Miss Morgan feels it is important to connect with each child individually in the classroom. She talks to them, listens to them, and tries to understand their feelings and issues. Her goal is to ensure they feel safe and that they are learning and having FUN, FUN, FUN! Miss Morgan is nurturing and outgoing, even bubbly. She always has a smile on her face and communicates well with parents. Miss Morgan makes sure there are always multiple activities for the children to enjoy in the classroom and outside. Our After Schoolers and Summer Campers love her! Miss Morgan enjoys hanging out with her friends and family and is a foodie, Mexican is her favorite.

    Miss Keila is a teacher in our Bears classroom. She started her career at the Children’s Museum of Houston and has 6 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Miss Keila focuses on building a foundation of learning so that the children will become confident learners. Her classroom is structured but fun so that the children in her classroom are well prepared for success in kindergarten. Miss Keila is a creative teacher who always displays evidence of learning in her classroom. She believes one can get the most out of children by breaking down learning into small, understandable pieces. Miss Keila is well organized and stays on schedule (most of the time). Miss Keila loves to bake; especially pumpkin bread and white chocolate chip Macadamia nut cookies. She has a cat named Rigel (the brightest start in the Orion constellation). Keila has a Bachelor of Human Development and a Masters of Education of Curriculum & Instruction, both from University of Houston.

    Miss Stephanie is a teacher in our Foxes classroom. She has 1 year experience in the early childhood development industry. Miss Stephanie enjoys teaching our inquiry-based curriculum, Wonder of Learning. She adapts the lesson plans so that the children are most likely to understand the lesson and retain what they have learned. Miss Stephanie believes in learning while having fun, but also likes to keep the classroom on a scheduled for consistency and routine. Miss Stephanie builds a relationship with each child individually. This relationship leads to trust, which leads to a great learning environment. She makes learning interesting and fun by always being enthusiastic. Miss Stephanie does her most effective teaching in small groups. Miss Stephanie is an avid sports fan. Her favorite teams are the Houston Astros and the Dallas Cowboys. She has 3 dogs that look just like Scooby Doo. Miss Stephanie is pursuing a degree in Business Management at San Jacinto College.

    Mrs. Christina is a teacher in our Bunnies classroom. She has 23 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Mrs. Christina makes sure all her infants are safe and happy. She is very particular about how her classroom looks, smells, sounds, and operates. Mrs. Christina teaches her little ones learn sign language and helps them achieve milestones such as walking and sitting at the table. Mrs. Christina is always on time, dedicated to her role, and runs a very tight ship! She ensures each individual child stays on his/her personalized infant feeding/sleeping schedule and goes above and beyond all health & safety measures. You will probably find her on the carpet interacting and playing…She is super nurturing and loves on her babies all day long! Mrs. Christina enjoys spending time with friends and family and she is very active in her church, Hillside Church in Mont Belvieu. She is married to Jessie (29 years) and has 4 children (31, 27, 24, 19).

    Miss Mary is a teacher in our Chipmunks classroom. She has 10 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Miss Mary helps her children learn numbers, letters, and so much more. She teaches them how to right their name and does a fantastic job potty training. Miss Mary excels with center time and sensory learning. Miss Mary is passionate about helping children learn and grow. She knows every child individually and works with them one-on-one and in small groups. She is nurturing and compassionate. Miss Mary treats every Goddard Lake Houston child as if they are her own! Miss Mary loves to go on beach vacations and read, especially Harry Potter. She enjoys baking, watching scary movies, and crocheting. She hold a CDA and has 2 children, Jordyn (12) and Damario (4).

    Miss Yessenia is a teacher in our Turtles classroom. She has 3 years experience in the early childhood development industry. She loves teaching Wonder of Learning. In fact, she teaches each lesson twice, once in English and once in Spanish. Miss Yessenia loves to read to and with the children. Her favorite children’s book is Little Blue Truck. She is great at classroom organization and directing children. Mrs. Yessenia loves to watch children learn through imagination and play. She often plays music in the classroom and sings and dances with the children. She is always interacting with her kiddos and you will probably find her on the carpet playing along side the class. Miss Yessenia uses her ambition to enhance lesson plans and makes sure the class is always having fun. Miss Yessenia is an artist and loves to read, especially suspense novels. She enjoys going to game nights with friends and family. Miss Yessenia is the youngest of 7 siblings and has 2 fur babies.

    Miss Aurora is the Kitchen Manager at Goddard Lake Houston. She has 11 years experience, 2 years experience in the food service industry. Miss Aurora keeps our kitchen organized and super clean. She does all our ordering for meals and snacks, ensuring that each child receives appropriately nutritional food. Miss Aurora also drives a bus for before and after school drop off and pick up. Miss Aurora is soft spoken and honest. She is understanding, open minded, and kind to everyone. Miss Aurora is flexible and willing to do whatever is needed and whatever it takes to get the job done. She is detail oriented and likes to see tasks to conclusion. Miss Aurora likes to do yoga and read, especially thriller & suspense novels. She enjoys baking and cooking for family. Miss Aurora has 2 cats, Silver and Luna.

    Miss Jaci

    Support Staff
    Miss Jaci is Support Staff in the Bunnies, Bumble Bees, and Butterflies classrooms. She has 12 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Miss Jaci loves our inquiry-based curriculum, Wonder of Learning. Since all children learn in different ways and at different paces, she adapts the predesigned lesson plans to fit the children in the classroom. She enjoys painting with the kiddos. Miss Jaci is super patient, which allows her to slow down and better understand each child individually. She loves to dance and sing with the children. Her favorite songs to sing with children are the ABC Song and If You’re Happy and You Know It. She is compassionate and understanding and she takes pride in helping each child learn and grow. Miss Jaci enjoys archery and actively participates in competitions. She enjoys relaxing, hunting, and playing games with friends and family. Miss Jaci is the Program Director at Boy Scouts of America and she has one dog, Bruce.

    Mrs. Mary is Support Staff in the Butterflies Classroom. She has 27 years experience in the early childhood education industry. She enjoys watching the children grow through active play and hands on experiences. Mrs. Mary is very affectionate and nurturing. She loves hugging the children and singing and dancing with them…You will probably catch her teaching the children her latest, most awesome dance moves! Mrs. Mary enjoys interior design, listening to music, and spending time with her family. Mary has 2 sons, Alfred & Charles.

    Miss Melissa is Support Staff in our Frogs classroom. She has 8 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Miss Melissa enjoys teaching Wonder of Learning and she incorporates life skills, such as hygiene, into the lessons. She makes sure the children are reaching age-appropriate learning milestones and benchmarks. Miss Melissa is passionate about helping children learn and grow. Her favorite thing to do in the classroom is arts crafts, especially painting. Miss Melissa goes above and beyond in the classroom. She treats every child with respect and helps them navigate their emotions and behaviors. She also helps with potty training. Miss Melissa likes to go on nature walks, do yoga, and travel. She LOVES reading, especially personal development books. Miss Melissa enjoys playing games and cooking out with friends and family. She has an Associate Degree of Science and is the second oldest of 11 children!

    Miss Diamond is Support Staff in several Goddard Lake Houston classrooms. She has 8 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Miss Diamond ensures each child is learning at an individual pace while staying on schedule and task with the class. She encourages and nurtures her kiddos to success. Miss Diamond is patient and AMAZING at potty training! Miss Diamond loves singing and dancing with the class. She gets on the same level of the children so that she can understand their mindset. Miss Diamond helps her children grow intellectually and physically, but especially socially. She is always smiling and laughing with the children. Miss Diamond enjoys outdoor activities, such as camping, fishing, and hunting. Her favorite park for camping is Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Campground near Prairie View, Texas. She has 2 children, Tari (6) and Nalorie (2).

    Miss Jenny is Support Staff in our Squirrels classrooms. This is her first year in the early childhood development industry and she is absolutely loving it! She does a fantastic job assisting the Teachers in the classroom. Mis Jenny keep the classroom organized and on schedule. She helps maintain a sense of structure while allowing the children to play, learn, and have fun. Miss Jenny is adaptive and she really concentrates on spending one-on-on time with her “cuddle bears.” She wants to learn how the children think so that she can work together with them to prepare them for successful learning now and in the future. Miss Jenny loves to shop; Target is her favorite. She is interested in interior design and is constantly changing the decorations in her house. Miss Jenny spends most of her free time studying in pursuit of a bachelor in Nursing. She want to be an RN.

    Miss Arianna is Support Staff in the Turtles classroom. She has 3 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Miss Arianna helps monitor small groups and transitions. Miss Arianna ensures the classroom has all materials for our curriculum, Wonder of Learning, and makes sure the classroom stays sanitized and organized. Miss Arianna understands every child is different. She gets to know each child individually so that she can interpret their feelings, the way they interact with others, and how they treat themselves. Because of this, Miss Arianna gives every child an individual voice to express themselves and become successful communicators. Miss Arianna likes to read, ride her bicycle, and go to concerts. Her favorite concert of all time was a festival that included Green Day, Blink 182, and Sum 41. Miss Arianna has 5 older brothers, 2 dogs (Ducle & Mira), and 1 cat (Salem). She is pursuing her bachelor degree in Architectural Design at Lone Star College.

    Miss Jaylinn is Support Staff in our younger classrooms. She has 5 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Miss Jaylinn assists our teachers during diapering, nap time, and reading time. She also ensures the classrooms are clean and properly closed at the end of each day. Miss Jaylinn also assists our Kitchen Manager. Miss Jaylinn makes a very strong effort to connect with the children of Goddard Lake Houston. She gets to know them so that she can point them in a positive direction and make sure they are having a great day. The children love her because she is a bit of a prankster who makes them laugh. Miss Jaylinn makes sure parents understand their child’s behavior and how the day has gone. She is a fantastic communicator. Miss Jaylinn has one sister and is an aunt to a 15-month-old, Miellah. In her free time, she likes to spend time with friends and mother and enjoys relaxing and recharging her batteries. She is pursuing a degree in Nursing.

    Mrs. Kristen is Support Staff in the Frogs and Turtles classrooms. She has 5 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Mrs. Kristen utilizes our inquiry-based curriculum, Wonder of Learning, to lead small group activities. She encourages individualism of children through dramatic play and helps keep the classrooms organized and on schedule. Mrs. Kristen enjoys playing one-on-one with the children. You will probably find her leading a dance party and singing. Her favorite kid song is Freeze Dance. Mrs. Kristen does her best to help children understand their emotions and how to effectively communicate those feelings to others. Mrs. Kristen loves all sports including soccer, fishing, and volleyball. She is married to Wesley (1 year) and has a son, Mateo (10). Mrs. Kristen holds a bachelor of science degree in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas (May 2023).

    Miss Taylor is Support Staff in the Squirrels classroom. She has 3 years experience in the early childhood development industry. Miss Taylor leads small group activities based on our proprietary curriculum, Wonder of Learning. She enjoys reading to the children and helping them learn shapes, colors, letter, numbers, and anything else that will help them be well prepared for kindergarten. Miss Taylor enjoys spending time with children individually. She loves a good dance party. Her favorite kid song is Going on a Bear Hunt. Miss Taylor very much cares about the feelings and emotions of the children in the classroom. She does her best to bring every child to a very positive place every day. Miss Taylor has 2 sisters and 2 brothers. She also has 2 dogs (Scooter and Midnight) who she enjoys taking to the dog park. Miss Taylor also enjoys riding scooters around downtown Houston. She is pursuing her degree in Early Childhood Education at Blinn College.
