Meet Josh Owner

Jill and I built Goddard Lake Houston in 2016. Both NAEYC and Cognia accredited, Goddard Lake Houston is the premier private childcare, preschool, kindergarten, before & after school care, & summer camp experience in northeast Houston. We are excited to be a part of the Lake Houston community and we are honored to play a role in your child’s early childhood development! We are committed to helping your child achieve excellence now and in the future. Our proprietary curriculum, Wonder of Learning (WOL), is inquiry-based, scientifically proven, and at the forefront of early childhood development. WOL aligns perfectly with Fun Learning EXperience (FLEX), a proven philosophy that tells us children experience the deepest, most genuine learning when they are having fun. Together, FLEX and WOL ensure your child will receive a well-rounded experience making them confident, joyful, and fully prepared students. Infant

6 w - 12 m

In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need with opportunities to begin exploring the world around them.

Toddlers

12 - 24 m

As your little one rapidly develops physically and cognitively, our Toddler classroom is where their natural curiosity is fostered and their budding skills are nurtured.

Twos

2 - 3 yrs

In the Twos classroom, experienced, caring teachers guide your child through playful exploration, helping navigate big emotions while providing hands-on learning experiences that nurture their innate curiosity.

Bridge

2.5 - 3.5 yrs

As your child continues to gain independence, build self-care skills and learn more about themselves, the Bridge classroom provides the support they need to thrive in a preschool setting.

Preschool

3 - 4 yrs

In our Preschool classroom, your child starts their journey into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting.

Pre-K

4 - 5 yrs

As your child prepares for Kindergarten, our Pre-K classroom offers exciting opportunities to develop important skills, make new friends and explore the world around them.

Kindergarten

5 - 6 yrs

Hands-on learning and a focus on social-emotional development in our Kindergarten classroom will prepare your child for success in first grade and beyond!

Before/After School Program

My family is always welcomed with a smile every morning at drop off and every evening at pick up. Each administrator knows our cars and who we are (along with Grandparents too!) My child has been at Goddard for 2 years and she has grown and learned so much! All of the teachers have prepared her well to move on to Kindergarten and we are excited to continue with their after school program.

The curriculum is great, and our son has learned an impressive amount, but by far our favorite part of the school is the family feel. Even during this weird, COVID-time, the school feels warm and friendly. The owners and directors know each child and their family, and many of the parents know and greet one another during drop off and pick up. We have always felt our son was safe at Goddard and are 100% confident that he's in good hands.
