    Owner
    My name is Nancy Goss and I am the proud owner of the Goddard School in Mechanicsburg. I live within the local community with my husband Kenneth and our 4 amazing children Ashley, Emily, and our twins William and Alexis. My oldest Ashley started at my school when she was 10 months old and I decided to return to work as a pediatric nurse. I have always valued the care and education that the Goddard School family has provided. With my passion of working with children and our community I hold a strong belief that Early Childhood Education is a foundation for our future leaders. I'm committed to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for your children. Thank you for allowing me the privilege and honor to care for your children!

    Mrs Sierra

    Director of Education
    Sierra is the Director of Education here at the Goddard School. Before becoming the Director of Education, Sierra was our kindergarten teacher. She graduated from Shippensburg University in May of 2020, with her bachelor's degree in science of education Pre-K to 4th grade. She enjoys hiking, skiing, and spending time with her husband, dogs, and cat. Her son Maverick started here at The Goddard School when he was three months old. As a parent she loves being able to observe him interact with peers and thrive every day.

    Miss Hope

    Assistant Director
    Miss Hope began teaching at The Goddard School in Mechanicsburg in 2021. She is currently attending Capella University to complete her Bachelor's of Psychology. Miss Hope received her Child Development Associate Certificate in 2023. She believes that children learn best by having hands-on experiences with encouragement. Learning through play is important because it makes learning fun and promotes creative thinking. Miss Hope's favorite thing about the Goddard School is the family involvement that happens. She loves how everyone enjoys and looks forward to muffin with moms, donuts with dads, grandparents' picnic, and many more days where we have the opportunity to bond as a community. Miss Hope's favorite teaching quote is "A great teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart."

    Miss Emily

    Kindergarten Teacher
    Emily achieved her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Shippensburg University in December of 2022. Miss Emily designs her classroom to ensure it provides individual needs for each student. She promotes critical thinking skills and independence in the learning environment daily. Her favorite feature at Goddard is the close-knit families and communication. When Emily is not teaching Kindergarten she enjoys shopping, spending time with loved ones, baking, and cooking.

    Miss Kalyn

    Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
    Miss Kalyn has been teaching here at the Goddard School in Mechanicsburg since the beginning of 2022. She has a total of 6 years of childcare experience. Miss Kalyn has her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education PreK - 4th with two Minors in Special Education in Reading and in Children's Psychology. Miss Kalyn thinks children learn best by allowing children to be who they are during active learning times and letting them be actively engaged in their educational environment with the different learning styles. Her favorite thing about the Goddard School is she has enjoyed getting to know the amazing families and have the privilege teaching their kids and watching them grow every day! Miss Kayln's favorite teaching quote is "It takes a big heart to shape little minds."

    Mrs Kelly

    Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
    Mrs. Kelly has been teaching here at the Goddard School in Mechanicsburg since 2016 as she also has over 20 years of experience in the childcare field. Mrs. Kelly thinks children learn best by being hands on, watching other children and adults listening to and exploring the world around them. She also thinks it's important for children to experiment and ask questions. Being interested and motivated about learning can make school so much fun! Our favorite thing about the Goddard School is how she has been with the school for 7 years now. She loves the way the teachers care about the children and their families. She really enjoys what she does and likes that the Goddard School isn't just a daycare but a learning school. Mrs. Kelly explains how she loves looking at all the happy faces soaking up all the knowledge they are learning and feeling confident in themselves. Mrs. Kelly's favorite quote is "A good teacher teaches from the heart!"

    Lead Get Set II Teacher
    Sophia joins us with two years' experience in childcare and her Child Devlopment Associates in the Infant/Toddler field. She just moved to the area in June 2024 and is originally from Indiana. She is currently enrolled in courses at Indiana Southern University for her Elementary Teaching License. When she is not teaching little ones, you can find her outside hiking or enjoying a good book!

    Assistant Teacher Get Set 2
    Miss Moriah has been teaching at the Goddard School in Mechanicsburg since 2023. She has almost 2 years of prior childcare experience. Miss Moriah attended HACC for 2 years for Early Childhood Education. She thinks children learn best through play and exploration. Her favorite thing about the Goddard School is the app we use to update the parents on how their child's day is going. For example, what they eat, pictures of them learning new materials, and so much more which makes the families feel more involved. Her favorite teaching quote is "Play is the work of the child" Maria Montessori

    Co-Lead Teacher Get Set 1
    Mrs Rachel has been teaching at the Goddard School in Mechanicsburg since 2017. She currently has over 20 years of childcare experience and has her bachelor's degree from Towson University. Mrs Rachel think children learn best through repetition, being hands-on, encouragement, and positive reinforcement. Her favorite thing about the Goddard School is the relationships she has built with the children, families, and the co-workers. They all mean a lot to her. Her favorite teaching quote is "Teachers plant seeds that grow forever."

    Co-Lead Get Set 1 Teacher
    Miss Kaitlyn has been teaching for the Goddard School in Mechanicsburg since 2021. She currently has been working in the childcare field for over 10 years and is currently going to school for her bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. Miss Kaitlyn feels that children learn best through hands-on learning, play, and positive reinforcement. Her favorite thing about the Goddard School is how close everyone is with each other, and she likes the relationships she has built here. Miss Kaitlyn's favorite quote is "Behind every child who believes in themselves is a teacher who believes in themselves first."

    Lead Toddler Teacher
    Sarah joined our team in January, 2023 and values her time in the Toddler classroom. She graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College with two Associate Degrees, one being Psychology. If families had to choose one word to describe Sarah it would be nurturing. Sarah's students are always engaged in enrichment activities. Her favorite daily activity is teaching a yoga pose that corresponds with her weekly theme.

    Assistant Toddler Teacher
    Cheyenne is our Assistant Toddler teacher. She graduated from New Oxford High School in 2015. Cheyenne is currently working on her Child Development Associates! In her spare time, she enjoys baking, watching her nephew, and spending time with her husband and family!

    Mrs Lisa

    Resource Teacher
    Mrs. Lisa was previously a teacher for the Manheim Township School District for about 15 years, where she discovered her ability and love for teaching young students. She is a gardener with a love for all things green and growing. She also is a bird watcher and butterfly enthusiasts. She joined Goddard in 2021 teaching Prekindergarten. She loves her new role as our resource teacher, teaching Tinkergarten. Outdoor science is essential for building a sense of wonder and curiosity of the outdoors.
