    Owner
    My name is Nancy Goss and I am the proud owner of the Goddard School in Mechanicsburg. I live within the local community with my husband Kenneth and our 4 amazing children Ashley, Emily, and our twins William and Alexis. My oldest Ashley started at my school when she was 10 months old and I decided to return to work as a pediatric nurse. I have always valued the care and education that the Goddard School family has provided. With my passion of working with children and our community I hold a strong belief that Early Childhood Education is a foundation for our future leaders. I'm committed to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for your children. Thank you for allowing me the privilege and honor to care for your children!

    Mrs Sierra

    Director of Education
    Sierra is the Director of Education here at the Goddard School. Before becoming the Director of Education, Sierra was our kindergarten teacher. She graduated from Shippensburg University in May of 2020, with her bachelor's degree in science of education Pre-K to 4th grade. She enjoys hiking, skiing, and spending time with her husband, dogs, and cat. Her son Maverick started here at The Goddard School when he was three months old. As a parent she loves being able to observe him interact with peers and thrive every day.

    Assistant Director
    Miss Hope began teaching at The Goddard School in Mechanicsburg in 2021. She is currently attending Capella University to complete her Bachelor's of Psychology. Miss Hope received her Child Development Associate Certificate in 2023. She believes that children learn best by having hands-on experiences with encouragement. Learning through play is important because it makes learning fun and promotes creative thinking. Miss Hope's favorite thing about the Goddard School is the family involvement that happens. She loves how everyone enjoys and looks forward to muffin with moms, donuts with dads, grandparents' picnic, and many more days where we have the opportunity to bond as a community. Miss Hope's favorite teaching quote is "A great teacher takes a hand, opens a mind, and touches a heart."
  • Mrs Kalyn

    Mrs Kalyn

    Lead Kindergarten Teacher
    Mrs. Kalyn began teaching at Goddard in April 2021 as the Kindergarten teacher and has 8 years of experience working with children! She started working with children when she was 16 years old with babysitting and she did an internship in a 2nd grade classroom her senior year of high school. She then furthered her education at Shippensburg University where she graduated and completed her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education Prek-4 with a minor in Special Ed and Children's psychology and has also completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Capella University. In her free time, she enjoys shopping, spending time with her family and friends, playing with her dog Cabella and going to craft shows. Mrs. Kalyn's favorite thing about working with children at Goddard is the bonds she has made with the Goddard families and the close friendships she has gained with other staff members!

    Kindergarten Teacher
    Miss Maddie graduated from Shippensburg University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability and Business. She joined us with previous experience teaching a STEM Summer Camp through the Science Explorers Program, this ignited her passion for education. She enjoys hiking and golfing, and she also loves taking barre classes and playing guitar. Miss Maddie truly appreciates the welcoming atmosphere at the Goddard School, where the excitement for learning fosters strong connections with students and helps them reach their full potential.

    Mrs Dominique

    Assistant KindergartenTeacher
    Mrs. Dominique started here at Goddard in October 2024. She has experience working with children in public schools and daycares. She has experience working as a special education assistant teacher at Sequentia Elementary school. In Mrs. Dominique's free time she loves playing disc golf, fishing, spending time with her husband and having family game nights! Her favorite thing about working at Goddard is being able to watch the children grow and learn new things. A fun fact about Mrs. Dominique is that she loves art, board games and loves spending time outdoors!

    Mrs Kelly

    Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
    Mrs. Kelly has been teaching here at the Goddard School in Mechanicsburg since 2016 as she also has over 20 years of experience in the childcare field. Mrs. Kelly thinks children learn best by being hands on, watching other children and adults listening to and exploring the world around them. She also thinks it's important for children to experiment and ask questions. Being interested and motivated about learning can make school so much fun! Our favorite thing about the Goddard School is how she has been with the school for 7 years now. She loves the way the teachers care about the children and their families. She really enjoys what she does and likes that the Goddard School isn't just a daycare but a learning school. Mrs. Kelly explains how she loves looking at all the happy faces soaking up all the knowledge they are learning and feeling confident in themselves. Mrs. Kelly's favorite quote is "A good teacher teaches from the heart!"

    Assistant Preschool Teacher
    Miss Kelsey joined our Goddard family in February 2024 in our Preschool room! Miss Kelsey is currently working to complete her associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. In Miss Kelsey's free time, she enjoys walking her dog, hiking and going on beach trips with her friends! Miss Kelsey's favorite thing about Goddard is being able to reward her class with positive reinforcement, the smiling faces she gets to see every day and all the fun actives that Goddard gets to offer!

    Lead Get Set 2 Teacher
    Cheyenne started at Goddard in 2020. She graduated from New Oxford High School in 2015. Cheyenne studied at HACC where she received her Child Development Associates! In her spare time, she enjoys baking, watching her nephew, and spending time with her husband and family!

    Miss Moriah has been teaching at the Goddard School in Mechanicsburg since 2023. She has 2 years of experience working with children. Miss Moriah attended HACC for 2 years for Early Childhood Education. In Miss Moriah's free time, she enjoys watching movies, spending time with friends and family and she loves finding new recipes to cook! Miss Moriah's favorite thing about working with Goddard is creating fun and creative activities for the children and watching them learn through play!

    Co-Lead Get Set 1 Teacher
    Mrs. Rachel has been teaching at the Goddard School in Mechanicsburg since 2017. She has 22 years of experience working in childcare. Mrs. Rachel has a bachelor's degree in biology. In her free time, Mrs. Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching movies, hiking, cooking and baking. Mrs. Rachel's favorite thing about Goddard is forming bonds with the children and their families. She enjoys making positive differences in the children's life and loves celebrating all of their accomplishments.

    Miss Kaitlyn has been teaching for the Goddard School in Mechanicsburg since 2021. She currently has been working in the childcare field for over 10 years and is currently going to school for her bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. Miss Kaitlyn feels that children learn best through hands-on learning, play, and positive reinforcement. Her favorite thing about the Goddard School is how close everyone is with each other, and she likes the relationships she has built here. Miss Kaitlyn's favorite quote is "Behind every child who believes in themselves is a teacher who believes in themselves first."

    Lead Toddler Teacher
    Sarah joined our team in January, 2023 and values her time in the Toddler classroom. She graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College with two Associate Degrees, one being Psychology. If families had to choose one word to describe Sarah it would be nurturing. Sarah's students are always engaged in enrichment activities. Her favorite daily activity is teaching a yoga pose that corresponds with her weekly theme.

    Miss Kylie

    Assistant Toddler Teacher
    Miss Kylie joins us with seven years of childcare experience and two children of her own; one who has graduated from The Goddard School and one who is currently growing and learning at our school. Her favorite thing about Goddard is how everyone is treated like family and how staff work together to create that close community feeling. When Miss Kylie is not teaching the one-year-olds she enjoys taking a walk and listening to music. She also loves doing yoga in the classroom and in her free time.

    Lead Pre-Toddler Teacher
    Jess started in April 2024 caring for our school's one-year olds. She has three years of experience caring for young children, as well as many years of experience caring for her own. She has achieved a social work degree from Indiana. Parents have nick named her the "Marry Poppins" and love the energy she provides daily. She takes pride in creating a safe, nurturing, and creative environment for her babies. Her favorite thing about Goddard is creating bonds with the children.

    Lead Infant Teacher
    Lauren joined us at the Goddard School in 2019. She enjoys caring for the infants and seeing them achieve their first milestones. Miss Lauren is always smiling and creates a warm comforting space for parents to drop off their babies.

    Assistant Infant Teacher
    Miss Madison started working with Goddard in February 2025. She has worked with children since she has been in high school. Miss Madison is currently taking classes for nursing! In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, art, and spending time with her son! Miss Madison's favorite thing about Goddard is that every day is an adventure, and she loves watching her infants grow!
  • Miss Mariyah

    Miss Mariyah

    Resource Teacher
    Miss Mariyah started working at Goddard in November of 2024. She has been working with children for 3 years. She has experience working in home care child centers, summer nannying and has also worked in day care centers as well. Miss Mariyah is currently enrolled at SHU where she is studying pre nursing. In Miss Mariyah's free time she enjoys shopping and taking naps. Miss Mariyah's favorite thing about working at Goddard is seeing the children's smiling faces every day!
  • Miss Sophia

    Miss Sophia

    Resource Teacher
    Sophia joins us with two years' experience in childcare and her Child Devlopment Associates in the Infant/Toddler field. She just moved to the area in June 2024 and is originally from Indiana. She is currently enrolled in courses at Indiana Southern University for her Elementary Teaching License. When she is not teaching little ones, you can find her outside hiking or enjoying a good book!
  • Mrs Lisa

    Mrs Lisa

    Resource Teacher
    Mrs. Lisa was previously a teacher for the Manheim Township School District for about 15 years, where she discovered her ability and love for teaching young students. She is a gardener with a love for all things green and growing. She also is a bird watcher and butterfly enthusiasts. She joined Goddard in 2021 teaching Prekindergarten. She loves her new role as our resource teacher, teaching Tinkergarten. Outdoor science is essential for building a sense of wonder and curiosity of the outdoors.
