Meet Melissa Owner

I am the proud on-site Owner of the Goddard School in Exton. In early childhood, no two days are the same and that is truly what keeps me motivated and excited. Utilizing my degree in Education from West Chester University I began my career with The Goddard School in Exton as a teacher in 2002. I then became the Director of Education for 5 years, before becoming an on-site Owner. As a mother of two Goddard graduates and an educator, I believe that providing children with daily experiences to grow and learn in an environment that supports the whole child is essential in creating life long learners! I truly love creating a family atmosphere here at Goddard!

Infant

6 w - 12 m

In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need with opportunities to begin exploring the world around them.

Toddlers

12 - 24 m

As your little one rapidly develops physically and cognitively, our Toddler classroom is where their natural curiosity is fostered and their budding skills are nurtured.

Twos

2 - 3 yrs

In the Twos classroom, experienced, caring teachers guide your child through playful exploration, helping navigate big emotions while providing hands-on learning experiences that nurture their innate curiosity.

Bridge

2.5 - 3.5 yrs

As your child continues to gain independence, build self-care skills and learn more about themselves, the Bridge classroom provides the support they need to thrive in a preschool setting.

Attentive, compassionate staff and faculty who provide endearing and thoughtful educational opportunities for our child. They also provide guidance on care, health issues like dry skin and colds, and keep us informed on sleep, diet, digestion, etc. Could not ask for a better first experience with a daycare provider for our child!

Goddard has been wonderful for our daughter. Love the activities and learning she does, we consistently hear new words that she must have learned and can tell she loves being there. KEYSTONE STARS

STAR 4

Pennsylvania’s Keystone STARS program is an initiative of the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) to improve, support and recognize the continuous quality improvement efforts of early learning programs. The Keystone STARS Performance Standards provide the foundation for the program and are grouped into four levels – Standards, Training, Assistance, Resources and Support. Each level builds on the previous level and utilizes research-based best practices to promote quality early learning environments and positive child outcomes.

The Director of the Year Award is given to a Goddard School director who illustrates educational leadership, is a mentor to other faculty members at the School and helps create an atmosphere that encourages children to experience the most genuine form of learning.

TERRI LYNNE LOKOFF TEACHER AWARD WINNER

The Terri Lynne Lokoff Teacher Award acknowledges the critical role of child care teachers in providing quality early care and education. Child care teachers from across the country are invited to apply. Fifty teachers are selected for their commitment and dedication to the children they serve. Of the top ten recipients, one is selected to receive the Helene Marks Award and is named the National Child Care Teacher of the Year.
