    We are so excited to be the owners of The Goddard School of Oxford! I am the on-site owner and Trevor is very involved as well. Raising our own young children and our love for family brought us to The Goddard School. We have seen the positive impact early education has made in the lives of our own children and look forward to fostering the love of learning while providing a safe, nurturing environment for your children.

    Director of Operations
    Educational Background: Ms. Alison has her Childhood Business Administration Certification from Baker College. Experience in Early Childhood: Ms. Alison has a true passion for working with babies and children. She worked at a daycare/preschool for 6 years prior to coming to The Goddard School and she is also a mom of four daughters. Ms. Alison has been with us at The Goddard School since 2015! Favorite Children's Book: If You Give a Mouse a Cookie By Laura Joffe Numeroff Favorite Ways to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Alison enjoys engaging the children in art activities that allows them to use their hands and feet or other objects. She also likes to add a variety of objects to the sensory table. Hobbies/Interests: When Ms. Alison is not here snuggling babies, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends!

    Assistant Director
    Educational Background: Ms. Morgan has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University. Experience in Early Childhood: Ms. Morgan has several years of experience being a teacher in an early childhood learning center. She started as an assistant teacher while working to complete her CDA, and then moved to a lead teacher, which is where she got her nick name Momo! She also worked as a camp counselor in New York. Favorite Children's Book: The Napping House by Audrey Wood. Favorite Way to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Morgan loves to incorporate play-based activities into everyday learning! She loves doing sensory activities as well as art projects with her littles! Hobbies/Interests: Ms. Morgan loves Disney, reading, hiking, and going up north!

    Lead Infant Teacher
    Educational Background: Ms. Brandy went to school to become a labor and delivery nurse, with intentions of becoming a midwife/doula! She is currently extending her education further and taking more courses in early education! Experience in Early Childhood: Ms. Brandy is the oldest to 10 siblings and started babysitting at a very young age! She began working at her first childcare center in 2015, while she was also nannying. She has experience with infants and children up to 6 years of age, as well as children with different learning challenges! She also has a son! Favorite Children's Book: "Love You Forever" by Robert N. Munsch. Favorite way to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Brandy is very hands on and artsy! She loves to dance and sing with her kiddos, as well as getting on the ground with them to help with motor skills and play! Hobbies/Interests: Ms. Brandy enjoys any outdoor activity she can do with her son! She is often out on a walk, bike ride, hike, swim, or camping!

    Educational Background: Ms. Rachael has a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Baker College. Experience in Early Childhood: Ms. Rachael has been working with children since 2010! She has experience with all age groups from infants to middle schoolers. Favorite Children's Book: Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. Favorite Ways to Incorporate Play in Classroom: Ms. Rachael loves using creative learning centers with different manipulatives for children to explore! Hobbies/Interests: In her spare time, Ms. Rachael enjoys making crafts on her Cricut machine, hiking trails with her dogs, and traveling to new places!

    Lead Toddler Teacher
    Education Background: Ms. Makayla graduated from Adelphia Classical Christian Academy in California after being homeschooled for a majority of her life. She is currently undergoing Early Childhood Training through MI Registry and the Child Care Education Institute. Experience: Ms. Makayla's experience is Early Childhood began during her work as an Assistant Teacher at Adelphia Classical Christian Academy in California in 2021. After moving to Michigan Ms. Makayla perused an Assistant position at The Goddard School in Oxford, where she was promoted to a Toddler Lead Teacher. Favorite Children's Book: Ms. Makayla's favorite children's book is Fox in Socks by: Dr. Suess. Favorite Way to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Makayla's favorite way to incorporate play in the classroom is through painting with different objects! Hobbies: Ms. Makayla enjoys Reading and watching Movies in her spare time.

    Lead Toddler Teacher
    Educational Background: Ms. Sandra has her Child Development Associate. Experience in Early Childhood Education: Ms. Sandra has been working in childcare since 2008. She has been with us at The Goddard School since 2015! Favorite Children's Book: How Do Dinosaurs Say I'm Mad By Jane Yolen Favorite Way to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Sandra enjoys incorporating play into her classroom through sensory items that allow the children to explore and discover. Hobbies/Interests: When Ms. Sandra isn't working with your children, she enjoys a good book, trying out a new recipe, cooking and yoga.

    Educational Background: Ms. Laura graduated from Brown City Highschool. Upon completion, she got her Childcare Development Associate to get more experience in a classroom! Experience in Early Childhood: Ms. Laura has been working in an early childcare setting for the last 4 years and has the most experience with young preschoolers! Favorite Childrens Book: The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn. Favorite Ways to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Laura enjoys teaching through play by looking at children's interests and incorporating them into lessons. Hobbies/Interests: Ms. Laura enjoys walking her dogs and kayaking!

    Educational Background: Ms. Megan has her Lead Certificate for the State of Michigan. Experience in Early Childhood: She came from a childcare prior to Goddard and also worked as a nanny. Favorite Children's Book: Cat in The Hat by Dr. Seuss Favorite Way to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Megan loves to sing songs, use imaginary play and sensory items to explore and discover in her classroom. Hobbies/Interests: In her spare time she caring for her many animals (reptiles, dogs, chickens & rabbits), She also enjoys music and singing!

    Educational Background: Ms. Alexis has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Oakland University Experience in Early Childhood: Ms. Alexis has taught preschool for several years and has a lot of experience babysitting family and friends Favorite Children's Book: How to Catch a Mermaid by Adam Wallace and Andy Elkerton Favorite Ways to Incorporate Play in Classroom: Ms. Alexis enjoys getting on the floor and playing with the children to make an adventure out of their experience as well as sensory play. Hobbies/Interests: In her spare time, Ms. Alexis enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with friends and family
