    We are so excited to be the owners of The Goddard School of Oxford! I am the on-site owner and Trevor is very involved as well. Raising our own young children and our love for family brought us to The Goddard School. We have seen the positive impact early education has made in the lives of our own children and look forward to fostering the love of learning while providing a safe, nurturing environment for your children.

    Director of Operations
    Educational Background: Ms. Alison has her Childhood Business Administration Certification from Baker College. Experience in Early Childhood: Ms. Alison has a true passion for working with babies and children. She worked at a daycare/preschool for 6 years prior to coming to The Goddard School and she is also a mom of four daughters. Ms. Alison has been with us at The Goddard School since 2015! Favorite Children's Book: If You Give a Mouse a Cookie By Laura Joffe Numeroff Favorite Ways to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Alison enjoys engaging the children in art activities that allows them to use their hands and feet or other objects. She also likes to add a variety of objects to the sensory table. Hobbies/Interests: When Ms. Alison is not here snuggling babies, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends!

    Assistant Director
    Educational Background: Ms. Morgan has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Human Resource Management from Central Michigan University. Experience in Early Childhood: Ms. Morgan has several years of experience being a teacher in an early childhood learning center. She started as an assistant teacher while working to complete her CDA, and then moved to a lead teacher, which is where she got her nick name Momo! She also worked as a camp counselor in New York. Favorite Children's Book: The Napping House by Audrey Wood. Favorite Way to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Morgan loves to incorporate play-based activities into everyday learning! She loves doing sensory activities as well as art projects with her littles! Hobbies/Interests: Ms. Morgan loves Disney, reading, hiking, and going up north!

    Lead Infant Teacher
    Educational Background: Attended Baker College for Early Childhood Education Experience in Early Childhood: Ms. Jaimee worked in special education for 10 years before switching to early childhood education for the last 8 years! Before that, she was in Girl Scouts as well as babysitting! Favorite Children's Book: "Just Go to Bed" by Mercer Mayer "All By Myself" by Mercer Mayer Favorite Way to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Jaimee loves to use different songs and puppets to engage her kiddos! She also enjoys doing different sensory and art activities to work on fine motor skills and learn about new things! Hobbies/Interests: Ms. Jaimee enjoys sewing, making quilts and embroidery. She also loves spending time with family, traveling, and boating as well as Disney!

    Lead First Steps Teacher
    Educational Background: Ms. Allie graduated from Oxford High School and is continuing her early childhood education through MiRegistry and Childcare Education Institute. Experience in Early Childhood: Ms. Allie has spent many years working with children. On top of having experience in a classroom, she has also taught gymnastics at a Kids Energy Zone! She also is a mom if 2 young kiddos! Favorite Children's Book: "How do Dinosaurs Eat Their Food?" by Jane Yolen. Favorite Way to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Allie loves using songs and movement for her toddlers to promote learning! Hobbies/Interests: Ms. Allie loves spending time with her family, as well as getting creative through sewing, painting, and crafts with her kids!

    Lead Toddler Teacher
    Education Background: Ms. Makayla graduated from Adelphia Classical Christian Academy in California after being homeschooled for a majority of her life. She is currently undergoing Early Childhood Training through MI Registry and the Child Care Education Institute. Experience: Ms. Makayla's experience is Early Childhood began during her work as an Assistant Teacher at Adelphia Classical Christian Academy in California in 2021. After moving to Michigan Ms. Makayla perused an Assistant position at The Goddard School in Oxford, where she was promoted to a Toddler Lead Teacher. Favorite Children's Book: Ms. Makayla's favorite children's book is Fox in Socks by: Dr. Suess. Favorite Way to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Makayla's favorite way to incorporate play in the classroom is through painting with different objects! Hobbies: Ms. Makayla enjoys Reading and watching Movies in her spare time.

    Lead Toddler Teacher
    Educational Background: Ms. Sandra has her Child Development Associate. Experience in Early Childhood Education: Ms. Sandra has been working in childcare since 2008. She has been with us at The Goddard School since 2015! Favorite Children's Book: How Do Dinosaurs Say I'm Mad By Jane Yolen Favorite Way to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Sandra enjoys incorporating play into her classroom through sensory items that allow the children to explore and discover. Hobbies/Interests: When Ms. Sandra isn't working with your children, she enjoys a good book, trying out a new recipe, cooking and yoga.

    Ms. Kayla

    Lead Get Set Teacher
    Educational Background: Ms. Kayla graduated from Clarkston High School in 2006. She also has a bachelor's degree in business administration. Ms. Kayla is also continuing her education through MiRegistry as well as Childcare Education Institute. Experience in Early Childhood: Ms. Kayla has worked in childcare since August of 2022, and she took early childhood classes in high school. Favorite Children's Book: Pete The Cat: I Love My White Shoes by: Eric Litwin, James Dean, and Kimberly Dean. Favorite Way to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Kayla loved getting on the kiddos level and interacting with them! She also enjoys finding out what her kids are interested in and including that into the lessons. Hobbies/Interests: Reading, hanging out with her 2 kids, going to the beach, crocheting, and crafting

    Lead Preschool Teacher
    Educational Background: Ms. Megan has her Lead Certificate for the State of Michigan. Experience in Early Childhood: She came from a childcare prior to Goddard and also worked as a nanny. Favorite Children's Book: Cat in The Hat by Dr. Seuss Favorite Way to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Megan loves to sing songs, use imaginary play and sensory items to explore and discover in her classroom. Hobbies/Interests: In her spare time she caring for her many animals (reptiles, dogs, chickens & rabbits), She also enjoys music and singing!

    Lead Pre K Plus Teacher (GSRP)
    Educational Background: Ms. Samariah has her associate's degree in early childhood education! Experience in Early Childhood: Ms. Samariah has been in childcare for 3 years! She started as an assistant with 3-year-olds, then transitioned to a lead teacher for the younger toddlers and then moved to GSRP where she is a lead teacher! Favorite Children's Book: Love You Forever by Robert Munsch. Favorite Ways to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Samariah loves hands on, creative learning. She loves to try and find things that interest her students and incorporate them into the learning activities and environment. Hobbies/Interests: Ms. Samariah enjoys Soccer, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family!

    Educational Background: Ms. Laura graduated from Brown City Highschool. Upon completion, she got her Childcare Development Associate to get more experience in a classroom! Experience in Early Childhood: Ms. Laura has been working in an early childcare setting for the last 4 years and has the most experience with young preschoolers! Favorite Childrens Book: The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn. Favorite Ways to Incorporate Play in the Classroom: Ms. Laura enjoys teaching through play by looking at children's interests and incorporating them into lessons. Hobbies/Interests: Ms. Laura enjoys walking her dogs and kayaking!
