    Jerri Dawn

    Owner
    Ms. Jerri Dawn is a co-owner of The Goddard School located in Overland Park. She and her family began the school in June 2006. Ms. Jerri Dawn received her degree in Elementary Education from William Jewell College. She was a classroom teacher for 14 years teaching preschool, two year old children, second grade and fourth grade. She finished her Master’s degree in Elementary Administration in 2000. Ms. Jerri Dawn, her husband and two children enjoy playing and watching sports, music and lake weekends. She loves working with children and can’t imagine doing anything else.

    Ms. Ashley has been with The Goddard School since March 2008. She graduated with her Associates in 2016 from Metropolitan Community College and plans on continuing to further her education. She loves working with children and it has helped her confirm that working with children is what she is meant to do!     Ms. Lynsey started her Goddard journey in 2002 working with all ages and then transitioned to the Management office. She attended Salisbury College where she received her City & Guilds Certification in Family Studies, she then moved on to attend JCCC receiving her CDA in Infant Toddler Education. Ms. Lynsey continues her education in early childhood, as she understands the importance of growing and changing along with the students. Ms. Lynsey is passionate about the children's development and play based experiences during their time at Goddard. Goddard Experience: 2002 Director: August 2021

    Ms. Kara was a CNA for many years. She was a teaching assistant in Denver, CO in the toddler room before moving to Kansas. Taking care of others is what she loves to do. She is a mother to a wonderful son and I’m also a full time student at National American University. She hopes to graduate in November with my Bachelors of Science degree in business management. She would love to utilize her degree and grow her career here at The Goddard School! Apart from school, work, and being a mom, Ms. Kara loves cooking, Starbucks, and spending time with family.     Ms. Krystal was born in Shanghai, China. She graduated from Shanghai Normal University with a Bachelor’s degree and received a Master’s degree in Music Education from Emporia State University. Ms. Krystal taught for several years in Shanghai as a music teacher in an elementary school. She loved working with children and decided to come to the United States to further her education.     Ms. Anna has her Culinary Arts certificate from Kansas City Kansas Community College. She started working with children at a very young age and found love and joy being around them. Ms. Anna is finishing a degree in Early Childhood Development or Elementary Education. She loves watching kids learn new things and use their imagination to create.     Ms. Hannah was born and raised in California. She has a twin sister. She is currently in school for education. Before coming to Goddard Ms. Hannah worked in Special Education in an elementary school for four years. She is looking forward to expanding her knowledge in early childhood. Ms. Hannah loves watching the kids explore and accomplish new tasks daily. She loves hanging out with friends, going to farmers markets, and playing board games.     Ms. Allison is originally from Madison, Ohio where she fell in love with teaching. She has been in childcare since 2013. She wants to further her career in education, earn her CDA and eventually become an Elementary school teacher. Ms. Allison has always had a passion for teaching and shaping young minds. When she is not in the classroom, Ms. Allison enjoys going to the beach, cooking, catching up on her latest book series and spending time with family and friends.     Ms.Terri attended Kansas State University where she received a Degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, she began her career at an Early Childhood Development Center. This is where she found her passion for preschool. Their hugs, joy of exploration and seeing their little light bulbs pop up when they learn something are the highlights of Ms.Terri’s day. Ms.Terri believes in the importance of giving children the appropriate learning opportunities to help create future leaders. In her spare time, Ms. Terri enjoys crafting, gardening, redacting and cooking in her fire pit with her husband. Goddard Experience: November 2019 Classroom: Pre-K

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Juli attended Olathe South High School . She attended Johnson County Community College, and obtained he CDA in Early Childhood Education. Juli has worked in a preschool as a Lead Teacher and assistant director for over 20 years. She enjoys seeing how excited children get when they learn something new. Juli loves visiting her family in New York, but loves coming back to her family and Jeep at home. Goddard Experience: Classroom: Pre-K

    Ms. Brittany was born and raised in Kansas. She has worked at the Goddard school for since 2021 and loves the infant room because she enjoys watching their growth everyday. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her sisters and traveling for concerts especially Harry styles. Classroom: Infant Goddard Experience: November 2021

    Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Karson grew up in Overland Park, Kansas, and graduated in 2023 from the University of Iowa with a degree in Creative Writing, and a minor in Japanese. After graduating, she returned to Kansas in order to be closer to family and friends. She firmly believes in the creativity of children, and loves to help it flourish; she also continues to be amazed at children’s imagination, intelligence, and stubbornness. Her own baby is a Siamese cat named Druid. Goddard Experience: June 2023 Classroom: Pre-K 1

    Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Emma was born and raised in Lenexa, Kansas. She attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School. When she graduated she moved to Mississippi for College. She is currently completing her Bachelors in Business and Minor in Psychology. She hopes to graduate in the winter or Spring. Emma has always loved kids and is considering continuing her education after she graduates to become an elementary education teacher. Emma thinks “Kids are funny, creative and smart". When she is not working or in school she spends time with friends, family and her pets. Emma also runs a small Esty store. Goddard Experience: August 2022

    Ms. Lexi was in the Army as a Combat Medic. She has been in early childhood education for 4 years. She has also been a nanny for 5 years. Lexi is from New York. She loves going on hikes with her dog Miles. Goddard Experience: August 2022 Classroom: Get Set

    Assistant Teacher
    Mr. Matthew has volunteered and been employed by his church as a childcare worker since 2012. He saw the amazing work his older sister did with the children and the great relationships she formed with their families and decided to take after her. Mr. Matthew is currently working towards his Bachelor's of Sociology degree with a focus in Social Work from Maryville University. He is beyond excited to work at the Goddard School and gain more experience working with young children. He looks forward to developing relationships with the children and their families during his time with the Goddard School. Goddard Experience: February 2020 Classroom: Pre-K

    Ms. Fanny was born in Venezuela and graduated as an architect. She is the mother of a wonderful son and loves watching him grow. She would love to develop a  Spanish teaching career.     Ms. Robbye started out teaching in St. Louis and then moved to Kansas in 1989 where she continued teaching preschool. Before coming to Goddard Robbye was a para in the school district. She is mom of 2. Both of her grown children are grown and have families of their own. She is a grandma of 3 and loves spending time with children. Goddard Experience: August 2022

    Assistant
    Ms. Grace will be a 2024 Blue Valley West High school graduate. She plans on attending Pittsburg State University in the fall, and majoring in Wildlife Biology. Grace has always loved kids, and enjoys being involved in their learning. For fun, she likes to participate in softball, track, and spend time outdoors. She also loves to spend time with her dog, cat, and friends. Goddard Experience: July 2023
