Welcome to The Goddard School® located in Zionsville! My name is Dea Carmichael. I am the on-site owner. I have over 35 years of experience working with children. I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a BS in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. I have taught kindergarten and was the Director of this school when it opened. Owning this preschool is my dream come true! The first six years are the most instrumental in a child's development and I am committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment focused on instilling a love of learning in all of the children that enroll in our School. I feel honored and blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of your family and yours in mine!

Ms. Jennifer graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s degree focusing on Elementary Education. She comes to The Goddard School with over 29 years of experience working in the childcare industry in several different capacities. She believes that the children grow and flourish in a positive and engaging environment and that the role of early childhood educators is to guide the children through their discovery of the world around them by providing meaningful and fun experiences. Because communication is a key factor in the success of a child, Miss Jennifer encourages an open line of communication between herself, the teachers and the parents.

Ms. Carrie has been a member of The Goddard School team since 2003. She taught Pre-Kindergarten for 6 years in Ft. Wayne prior to moving here. Carrie has a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University. She has also taught high school marching band and color guard for 12 years and she volunteers for Music for All.

Ms. Kyla started with The Goddard School in August 2018. She has her Bachelors in General Studies with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Applied Behavior Analysis Minor. She started her career with American Eagle for seven years and left to work with children. She has nanny experience along with 14 years experience pet sitting. She loves hiking, traveling and photography. She believes children learn best with an individualized approach to meet all her students developmental needs.

Ms. Merriah has been a part of The Goddard School team since 2012. Prior to teaching at Goddard, Merriah was a nanny for children who attended the school. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ivy Tech Community College.

Ms. Ariel started with The Goddard School in September 2021. She studied Elementary Education for 4 years at Ball State University, as well as tutoring 2nd graders all throughout college. She has always enjoyed working with children. She loves being a part of the early development in education, behavior and character building of toddlers. She is also an avid traveler and loves photography.

Ms. Sandrine joined The Goddard School in November 2011. I was born in Ivory Coast, Africa and raised in South America. I moved to the United States in March of 1995. I have a degree in Science Economy and an Associate degree in Child Development. I joined the Goddard School in 2011 after working at another preschool and nannying for more than 16 years. I speak three different languages, French, Spanish, and English. Along with some sign language that you will see me teaching the Lions. I am married with two children and in my spare time I enjoy doing yoga, outdoor activities, cooking, and photography.

Ms. Jordyn started with our school in January 2022 but worked part-time while she finished her college degree. Jordyn grew in Carmel, Indiana and now lives in Zionsville. She graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Interpersonal Communications. Jordyn has been in and around The Goddard School her whole life, as a student and a teacher. In her free time, she enjoys taking care of her plants and playing with her dogs.

Ms. Sophie has been a part of The Goddard School team since 2004. I was born and raised in Normandy, France and traveled to Germany, Belgium, and England in my teens. I quickly realized that I needed to go abroad to improve my English so I applied for an Au Pair position and came to the United States in 1992. I started working in childcare by accident while I was in between jobs (or so I thought) and was hooked in a matter of weeks. I received my Associates in Child Development in 2001. I am married and we have three boys.

Ms. Martha started with The Goddard School in May 2022. She has her B.S in Education and has taught in the preschool setting for over 8 years. She enjoys playing tennis, pickleball and working out. Her love of children shows every day in her enthusiasm and energy she brings into the classroom.

Ms. Juli joined the Goddard School in September 2018. I was born and raised in Cabimas, Venezuela and moved to Indiana in 2014. I went to law school and got my degree from the University of Venezuela. When moving to Indiana I started teaching preschool and kindergarten. Now I am teaching Spanish to elementary school children. Teaching my language and my culture to children makes me very proud. My husband and my two children are my backbone in life! I love spending time with them along with shopping and baking.

My name is Kacie and I have worked at the Goddard School since February 2020. My teaching style focuses on providing them a loving and nurturing environment while meeting each child where they are developmentally to help them achieve their goals . I have previously taught baking classes, where I let people try things out with my guidance if they need it. My hobbies include: baking, watching movies, spending time at my church and with my family, reading, and learning about history.

Ms. Mary became a part of The Goddard School team in 2007 after spending 20 years as an instructional assistant at the elementary school level. She spent 16 of those years working in a Special Needs classroom. Ms. Mary has been married for over 40 years and lives in Zionsville. She has two sons and a daugter along with 3 grandchildren that live in Florida.

I am from Indianapolis, IN. I graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelor's in human development and family studies. I have worked with children for over 5 years during summer jobs and internships. I love teaching children and watching them grow and develop. I have a 6 month old baby boy, Karson, who is my pride and joy! In my free time I enjoy watching Netflix and spending time with my baby boy.

Ms. Debra started with The Goddard School in January 2022. She has a Bachelor Degree in Organizational Management with focus on early childhood education, sociology, and psychology. She has been working in the childcare industry since age sixteen. She is a proud parent of four children and two grandchildren. She enjoys playing in the park with her grandchildren and spending time with family.

Ms. Lisa joined the Goddard School in August 2004. I have a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Goshen College. In 2010, I left the Goddard School to travel to Bulgaria for 27 months with the Peace Corps. I rejoined the Goddard Family after returning back to the US in 2012. I love Indianapolis sports teams and have enjoyed working at events as an usher at Market Square Arena and Banker’s Life Field house since 1996. I also enjoy traveling to Seattle and Venice, Florida to visit with my family. I love visiting my two nieces and nephew.

Ms. Debra started with The Goddard School in March 2023. I grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and have lived in Zionsville for 25 years. I have worked in the food industry most of my life and enjoy preparing healthy and nutritional meals for families and children.

Ms. Hannah joined the Goddard School in July 2018. She left to have two wonderful girls and returned back to The Goddard school in 2023. I was born and raised in Valparaiso, Indiana. I attended Ball State University where I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Kindergarten Primary Education. I studied abroad for my student teaching in Ramstein-Miesenbach, Germany. Before joining the Goddard family I taught 5th grade in Brownsburg plus 5 years experience in the classroom. In my spread time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.

Ms. Maria started with our school in October 2021. She took brief time off and returned back in 2023. Maria has worked with children of all ages and has experience teaching in many different types of learning environments. She thrives to build a quality foundation with her students to help them achieve their developmental goals.

Mr. Breighton started with The Goddard School in September 2022. He grew up in Lebanon and has helped babysit and teach his younger siblings. He developed his cooking skills in several different types of kitchens. He looks forward to spending time with his dog and working on his car.

Ms Laura joined The Goddard School in April 2023. I grew up Frankton, Indiana and I enjoy traveling with my family and doing jigsaw puzzles. I owned my own small childcare for several years to follow my passion to work with children. Currently I am supervisor at a book distruibution company in the mornings and you will find me helping in various classrooms in the afternoons.

Ms. Alexis (Lexi) started with The Goddard School in 2023. She grew up in Thorntown and worked for several years in early childhood educaton. She is pursing her CDA and looks forward to using her educational experience and knowledge in the classroom. She thrives to ensure all her students feel comfortable and develop the love of learning.

Ms. Cassandra started with The Goddard School in 2023. She has her degree in Early Childhood Education and Administration. She worked at Park Tudor for over 10 years as their after school director. She brings all her educational experiences and knowledge into the classroom. She is dedicated to making sure all her students have a love of learning.

Ms. Lilibeth started with The Goddard School in 2023. She grew up in Venezuela and enjoyed babysitting and helping with family. She takes pride in showing all her families her warmth and caring and it shows daily in the care she provides all her students.

Ms. Meghan started with The Goddard School in 2023. She grew up in Zionsville and has worked 6 years at Grow and 2 years as an IA preschool teacher. She loves riding horses and spending time with her family. She is dedicated to giving all her students the best possible edcuational experience.

Ms. Rachael started with The Goddard School in 2023. She has her Infant/Toddeler CDA and has worked in the early childhood industry since 1994. She is dedicated to ensuring all her students feel comfortable and safe in their learning environment. She thrives to be at your child's level and help them reach their developmental goals.

Ms. Jaclyn started with The Goddard School in 2023. She is currently pursing her bachelors at the Kelly School of Business. She looks forward to using her educational experience in the classroom to help further her students educational experiences.
