Joe and I are the parents of two young boys. Brody is 9 years old and Abel is 6 years old. Both have been guided by the professional teachers at Goddard Schools and benefitted from the Goddard Philosophy. We are confident The Goddard School located in West Carmel will continue to instill a lifelong love of learning in your children while providing a safe, nurturing, and fun environment. Ms Morgan

Assistant Director
Morgan graduated from Indiana State University with a Bachelors of Science in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. She has been working with children for over five years nannying and tutoring. Morgan is trained in a reading, writing, and spelling technique called Orton-Gillingham. She previously worked as an IA in the public school system before joining Goddard 2 years ago. Morgan believes that all children are unique and learn best in a fun and active environment. Her classroom goals are that each child leaves here prepared for their future, socially, emotionally, and academically.

Amber is a preschool teacher and has worked at The Goddard School since 2013. She graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a degree in Public Relations and Advertising. She has worked with children for many years and has been able to educate children of various ages. She has experience teaching young toddlers through PreK while being at Goddard. Amber understands how to create developmentally appropriate learning activities and experiences for children in her care and is passionate about building connections with children and families. Amber enjoys being at Goddard because she gets to see the smiles on all the children's faces and watch them grow. Her dedication to the school has provided many years of children establishing trusting relationships with her and positive connections with families for many years.
Ms Carmen

Carmen is working towards her CDA and has previously worked as an early childhood teacher for several years. She spent many years homeschooling her children and believes that children learn best through hands-on experiences and play. She believes that every moment is a teachable moment and a chance to learn something new. Children have a natural curiosity and it is important to her that she helps them navigate through their interests. Her goals as a teacher are to prepare each child for the future and to provide a safe environment for each child to express their individual personalities.

Davene has an AAS degree in Early Childhood Education – Child and Family Studies and one in Human Services. She has been in the child care field for over 9 years, including 3 years at Goddard. She believes that children are all individual and that educating each child in their own specific way is important for growth and development in many aspects. Her classroom goal is to use developmentally appropriate practices to guide young children in learning necessary social and emotional skills, as well as build on cognitive knowledge to prepare them for a life-long love for learning.
Mrs Jada

Jada graduated from Purdue University with a bachelor's degree in Special Education and Elementary Education with a concentration in Literacy and a minor in Global Studies. Before coming to The Goddard School, she worked for five years in a multicultural preschool. Jada has also taught Standard 1 and preschool in a rural village outside of Tanga, Tanzania. Jada has been with Goddard for 5 years, educating infants all the way to PreK children. She is dedicated to making an impact on the lives of the children in her care. Watching children grow and learn in their early years is one of her greatest passions. Her classroom goals are to provide a nurturing environment for children to explore through play while assisting them with their learning and life skills along the way.

Karlie graduated from Ivy Tech Community College with a degree in Visual Communications. During her time here at Goddard, Karlie hopes to engage and help children grow and learn at their own pace. She wants to encourage them to follow their dreams, no matter what, and understand that nothing can stand in their way. Karlie's classroom goals are to help her students become successful by teaching them core life values and that each child in her classroom, with hard work, their dreams can be achieved. Karlie also wants to teach them the proper strategies to accomplish their goals. Karlie believes in creating positive relationships and gaining the trust of each child to ensure that a positive learn environment is being maintained.

Katie graduated from Taylor University with a Bachelor of Arts and is currently in Taylor's Transition to Teaching program. She has years of experience working with children of all ages, from babysitting to being a cadet teacher in a preschool classroom. She believes that all children have the capability to change the world and deserve an opportunity to learn and grow in their own unique way. Her goal in the classroom is to have all the children feel safe and excited to learn. It is important to her that all the children feel like they can express themselves and be who they are as she helps guide and support their interests.
Ms Lauren

Lauren is currently finishing her bachelor's degree from Purdue University in Psychology. She has also taken courses through the University of Indianapolis for Art Therapy. Lauren has experience working with children with special needs through course work, summer camps, and previously as a Behavior Technician Assistant. Her teaching philosophy is that learning should be fun and purposeful. She wants children to have meaningful learning experiences and create memories from the activities that they do together in the classroom. Her goal in the classroom is to provide children with a safe, healthy, and fun environment for them to explore.
Ms Sarah

Sarah is currently attending Ivy Tech to earn a degree in early childhood education. While earning her degree she has worked in various settings in early childhood as an assistant and lead teacher. Sarah believes that each child learns through hands-on learning experiences that are guided by a knowledgeable educator. Her goal is for the children in her care to be nurtured in a safe environment that meets the needs of all learners and allows all children to thrive.

Stacy has a bachelor's degree from Ball State University in Elementary Education and has over 20 years of experience working and caring for children of all ages. Her teaching philosophy is that children are full of curiosity and because of this they learn from exploring the world around them. Children can be life long learners when you foster a love for learning and create a nurturing environment and experiences for children to thrive. Her goals for the students in her room are to build positive relationships and allow children's natural curiosity and imagination to build while they learn through play.
Ms Tara

Tara graduated from IUPUI in General Studies and is finishing her master's in early childhood education at Ball State University. Tara has over 8 years of experience working with early childhood and elementary-aged children. She was formerly a PreK and Kindergarten teacher before joining Goddard. Her teaching philosophy is that children are capable of learning anything and achieving success with the help of positive adult role models. She believes that children have unique strengths and abilities that educators have a responsibility in fostering in order for children to learn and grow. Her classroom goals are to create a positive and nurturing environment, so children feel comfortable to take risks and learn new things.
Mrs Tonya

Tonya has worked at The Goddard School since 2005 and has been the teacher in various classrooms with infants through young toddlers. She attended Ivy Tech and received her CDA in 2004. Tonya has worked with children since 1998 and loves every minute of it. She enjoys working at Goddard because she gets to provide the tools for the children to learn and grow. Her dedication to the school helps to ensure children with consistent care and trusting relationships. Tonya loves to be able to watch her students develop from infancy up through the building into PreK students.

Valerie has a Bachelor of Science from Indiana State University in Human Development and Family Studies, with a minor in Early Childhood. She has over 5 years of experience working with infants and young toddlers. Her teaching philosophy is that children learn and grow when they are provided with a safe and nurturing environment that is developmentally appropriate for each individual child. Valerie's goals in the classroom are to establish relationships with both children and families while providing the best care for all the children in her class.

Luz has been the kitchen manager at The Goddard School since 2015. Before coming to this school, she worked for several years at another child care facility. Luz feels every child deserves to have tasty, nutritious meals, and that’s what she makes them in return for their huge smiles. Luz looks at her position at our school not only as a job but as a second home where she can cook as she loves to do for her own family!
