Our Goddard School Teachers

The Goddard School recognizes the importance of a well-rounded curriculum that is age-appropriate and follows the child's interests. The environment and experiences at our school set the foundation for lifelong learning. Suresh, and I value early childhood education, as the first few years in a child's life are the formative years for their development. We have been residents of the San Ramon area for over 30 years. I have a Master's Degree in Accounting and have enjoyed my time as an active volunteer at the local elementary and middle school in the past when my own children were growing up. My family enjoys spending time together hiking, traveling, golfing, and taking trips to the parks and new places.

Ms. Ingrid began her career in Early Childhood Education in 2010, working as a Toddler Teacher and an administrator at a private preschool. Growing up in a family of educators and spending her early career working closely with young children inspired her to change her academic path from Biology to Education. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies with a focus on Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University. Ms. Ingrid joined Goddard in 2015. Her goal is to create a nurturing environment that supports learning through self-discovery. As a leader, she is equally passionate about mentoring and supporting staff, believing that when educators feel valued, empowered, and confident, they are better able to provide meaningful learning experiences for children. She strives to foster a collaborative and respectful culture where both children and educators can grow, recognize their strengths, and develop a shared commitment to lifelong learning.

Ms. Lorrie completed her Early Childhood Education courses at Diablo Valley College, earning her Teacher Certification. She began working at The Goddard School in 2013, bringing with her a deep passion for nurturing young learners and a teaching career that began in 2006. In the classroom, Ms. Lorrie believes in creating a warm, supportive environment where children feel confident to explore, grow, and celebrate their many “firsts.” Her love for working with children started when she was just eleven years old, and that early spark continues to guide her approach today. She finds joy in watching each child discover new skills, develop independence, and build meaningful connections. Lorrie’s philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and honoring every child’s unique pace and personality. When she’s not in the classroom, Ms. Lorrie enjoys spending time with her three children, her niece, and her niece’s son. Family moments, big and small, are her greatest source of happiness.

Ms. Jessica holds a Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Development from Las Positas College. She began working at The Goddard School in 2015, bringing with her a lifelong passion for nurturing young children and a professional background in childcare dating back to 2010. In the classroom, Ms. Jessica believes in creating a joyful, supportive environment where children feel safe to explore, discover, and grow at their own pace. As the oldest of six siblings, she has spent her entire life caring for little ones, and that experience shapes her warm, patient, and attentive teaching style. She loves being part of each child’s learning journey, celebrating their milestones, encouraging their curiosity, and watching their faces light up when they experience something new. Jessica values the happiness, love, and innocence children bring into the world and strives to honor that in every interaction. Outside of work, Ms. Jessica enjoys spending time with her younger siblings and shopping.

Ms. Sireesha completed her Early Childhood Education courses at Diablo Valley College to strengthen her knowledge and skills in working with young children. She began working at The Goddard School in 2023, bringing with her a genuine passion for early learning that first grew while volunteering at her daughter’s school. In the classroom, Ms. Sireesha believes in creating a nurturing, engaging environment where preschoolers feel confident to explore, learn, and discover their unique strengths. She is dedicated to supporting each child’s growth at their own pace and values the joy, curiosity, and wonder they bring into every day. Her philosophy centers on guiding children with patience, encouragement, and respect, while continuing to grow alongside them as an educator. When she’s not teaching, Ms. Sireesha enjoys spending time with her daughters, cooking, listening to music, and traveling.

Ms. Keerthi completed her Early Childhood Education coursework at Diablo Valley College and is currently in her final semester working toward her Associate Teacher Certificate. Ms. Keerthi is passionate about working with young children and creating a safe, nurturing environment where they feel comfortable, valued, and excited to learn. She believes early learning should be process-oriented, allowing children to explore, experiment, and develop skills through hands-on experiences. Supporting children’s curiosity and celebrating their individual growth are central to her teaching philosophy. In her free time, Ms. Keerthi enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, playing board games, and listening to music.

Ms. Vaidehi studied at the University of Nevada, where she discovered her passion for working with young children while serving as a teacher’s assistant for three years, supporting 1st and 2nd grade students. Her experience in the classroom inspired her to pursue early childhood education and continue growing as an educator. She began working at The Goddard School in 2023, bringing with her a warm, creative spirit and a genuine excitement for guiding young learners. In the classroom, Ms. Vaidehi believes in fostering curiosity, confidence, and hands-on exploration. She strives to create an environment where children feel supported, valued, and encouraged to express themselves. Her philosophy centers on nurturing each child’s natural love of learning through patience, creativity, and meaningful connection. Outside of teaching, Ms. Vaidehi enjoys exploring various art forms such as watercolor painting, jewelry making, crafting, and baking.

Ms. Andrea began her Early Childhood Education studies in Florida and later completed her coursework at Diablo Valley College, earning her teaching certificate. She started working at The Goddard School in 2013, bringing with her a deep commitment to nurturing young learners and a professional background in childcare dating back to 2008. In the classroom, Ms. Andrea believes that early childhood is a magical time filled with discovery, growth, and joy. She feels truly blessed to be part of each child’s learning journey and values the opportunity to witness their unique personalities shine. Her teaching philosophy centers on creating a warm, supportive environment where children feel safe, loved, and encouraged to explore the world around them. She strives to guide each child with patience, positivity, and genuine care. Outside of school, Ms. Andrea enjoys spending time with her husband and their two wonderful children, who inspire her both personally and professionally every day.

Ms. Samantha completed her Early Childhood Education coursework at both Foothill College and Diablo Valley College, building a strong foundation for her work with children of all ages. She began working at The Goddard School in 2023, bringing with her a teaching career that started in 2008 and a deep passion for supporting young learners. In the classroom, Ms. Samantha believes in creating meaningful connections with her students and their families. She values the trust, communication, and partnership that help children thrive. One of her favorite parts of teaching is witnessing those unforgettable “lightbulb” moments, when a child grasps something new, and their face shines with excitement. Her philosophy centers on guiding children with patience, encouragement, and genuine care, while fostering a warm environment where curiosity and confidence can grow. Outside of school, Ms. Samantha enjoys spending time with her family and two cats and loves reading.

Ms. Aish holds a Teaching Certificate from Mission College, a degree in Early Childhood Education from India, and has completed Montessori training, giving her a strong and diverse foundation in early learning. She began working at The Goddard School in 2025, bringing with her a passion for nurturing young children and a professional background in the field since 2011. In the classroom, Ms. Aish believes that young children are naturally curious, capable, and deeply impressionable. She strives to create an environment where every child feels supported, encouraged, and inspired to explore the world around them. Her teaching philosophy centers on guiding children with patience, respect, and intentionality, helping them learn, grow, and discover their unique strengths at their own pace. Outside of school, Aish enjoys spending time with family, painting, and gardening.

Ms. Alejandra holds a B.A. in Education and brings over 13 years of experience working with children. Born and raised in Colombia, she worked as an elementary school teacher, teaching subjects such as Spanish, Math, and History before moving to the United States through a foreign exchange program. Her time in the program also allowed her to work as an Au Pair, an experience that strengthened her passion for supporting young learners. She began working at The Goddard School in 2024, excited to return to the classroom and continue her work with young children. In the classroom, Ms. Alejandra believes in fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. Her passion for teaching began at a young age and grew throughout her teacher training years. She enjoys challenging herself and encourages children to do the same, exploring new ideas, building skills, and discovering their strengths. She strives to create a warm, engaging environment where every child feels supported and inspired.

Ms. Sheri completed her Early Childhood Education coursework at both Chabot College and Ohlone College, building a strong foundation for her long and dedicated career in early learning. She began working at The Goddard School in 2018, bringing with her extensive experience that dates to 1991, including more than 10 years as a nanny. In the classroom, Ms. Sheri believes that confidence and a positive attitude empower children to accomplish anything they set their minds to. She has worked with children from birth through 12 years old, but preschoolers hold a special place in her heart. Sheri loves creating hands-on science, sensory, math, and art activities, especially the messy ones, because she believes children learn best through exploration, creativity, and joyful discovery. She continues to find inspiration in learning and growing alongside her students every day. Outside of school, Ms. Sheri enjoys spending time with her family, reading, baking, and scrapbooking.

Ms. Prathima completed her Early Childhood Education courses at Diablo Valley College, building on her early experiences working with young children in India. She began working at The Goddard School in 2023, bringing with her a passion for early learning that started in 2013 when she first volunteered in the field. In the classroom, Ms. Prathima believes that the early years are a precious and powerful time in a child’s development. She finds great joy in supporting children as they take their first steps in learning, explore new ideas, and discover their unique strengths. Her teaching philosophy centers on creating a warm, encouraging environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to grow. For Prathima, early childhood education is more than a career; it is her true calling. Outside of school, Ms. Prathima enjoys cooking, hiking, and listening to music. She is grateful for the love and support of her husband and their two children, who inspire her every day.

Ms. Jessica earned her Early Childhood Education Certification from Las Positas College and has been working in the field since 2007. She began working at The Goddard School in 2025, bringing with her a deep passion for supporting young children during their most important years of growth. In the classroom, Ms. Jessica believes in creating a positive, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to explore. She loves witnessing each child’s cognitive, emotional, and social development and finds great joy in being part of their early learning journey. Her teaching philosophy centers on fostering confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning, ensuring that every child can thrive at their own pace. Outside of school, Ms. Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and their three wonderful boys, who continue to inspire her both personally and professionally.

Ms. Poonam holds a master’s degree in biotechnology from India and later completed all required Early Childhood Education coursework to pursue her passion for teaching young children. She began working at The Goddard School in 2019, bringing with her a unique blend of scientific knowledge, professional experience, and a deep commitment to early learning. In the classroom, Ms. Poonam believes in nurturing kindness, respect, and compassion. Her teaching philosophy centers on creating a fun, positive, and loving environment where children feel safe to explore, learn, and grow. She is dedicated to supporting each child academically, socially, and emotionally, helping them build a strong foundation for future success. Outside of school, Ms. Poonam enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling.

Ms. Christina holds a degree in Early Child Development and a Site Supervisor Permit, providing her with a strong foundation in early learning and leadership. She has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education since 2009 and began her journey at The Goddard School in 2026. In the classroom, Ms. Christina believes that every child matters and every moment counts. She is passionate about creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where children feel supported, valued, and encouraged to grow. Her philosophy centers on inspiring confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. As both an educator and a parent, she understands the importance of meeting each child with patience, warmth, and respect, helping them thrive during their most formative years. Outside of school, Ms. Christina enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.

Ms. Viji graduated from Las Positas College in 2017 with an AA degree in Early Childhood Development. She also gained hands-on experience working in the college’s Child Development Center. She began working at The Goddard School in 2019, bringing with her a strong background in early childhood education dating back to 2014, as well as experience supporting school-age children in Pleasanton from 2007 to 2016. In the classroom, Ms. Viji believes that every child is unique, with their own needs, strengths, and learning styles. Her teaching philosophy centers on building positive, trusting relationships with children, as she believes these connections play a powerful role in their development, behavior, and readiness to learn. She strives to create an environment where children feel understood, supported, and encouraged to grow at their own pace. Outside of school, Ms. Viji enjoys cooking a variety of cultural dishes for her family, gardening, and creating flower arrangements.

Ms. Isabel earned her B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica in Panama. She began working at The Goddard School in 2025, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a lifelong passion for early learning. In the classroom, Ms. Isabel believes in creating a joyful, engaging environment where children feel excited to explore, learn, and grow. Having worked with young learners since 1994, she cherishes the opportunity to guide children through their earliest discoveries and to partner with families during these formative years. Her philosophy centers on curiosity, connection, and celebrating each child’s unique strengths. Outside of school, Ms. Isabel enjoys spending time with her daughter and her wonderful grandchildren.

Mr. Steven holds a B.A. in Child Development from California State University, Chico. He began working at The Goddard School in 2019, bringing with him a passion for early learning and a background of working with children since 2009. In the classroom, Mr. Steven believes every child carries their own unique spark. His teaching philosophy centers on inspiring confidence, nurturing curiosity, and helping each student discover their fullest potential. He approaches learning with a silly, energetic, and fun spirit, creating an environment where children feel safe to explore, take risks, and express themselves. Steven sees greatness in every child and strives to be the person who helps bring that greatness forward through encouragement, connection, and joyful learning experiences. In his free time, Mr. Steven enjoys spending time exploring new ideas, staying active, and finding creative ways to bring inspiration into everyday life.

Ms. Graciela holds an M.A. in Education from California State University, Sacramento, a B.A. in Economics from UCA, Jesuit University in El Salvador, and a Certificate in Foreign Language Teaching from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. She is fluent in Spanish and English and has basic proficiency in German. She began working at The Goddard School in 2021, bringing with her more than 40 years of teaching experience across all age groups. In the classroom, Ms. Graciela believes deeply in the power of language to broaden understanding, embrace diversity, and connect with the world. Inspired by her parents, both educators, she discovered her passion for teaching at a young age. Her philosophy centers on fostering respect, encouraging exploration, and celebrating the unique strengths each child brings to the classroom. Outside of teaching, Ms. Graciela enjoys reading, swimming, and watching baseball.

Ms. Grace holds a teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education, building on her university studies and professional background in human resources and business. She began working at The Goddard School in 2021, fulfilling a long-held dream of becoming a preschool teacher. In the classroom, Ms. Grace believes that early learning should be joyful, nurturing, and full of meaningful connections. Her passion for teaching grew through three years of volunteering at her daughter’s preschool and caring for children in her community. She feels happiest when supporting young learners and strives to create an environment where every child feels valued, encouraged, and excited to explore. Ms. Grace is dedicated to helping children grow socially, emotionally, and academically while honoring their unique strengths and interests. Outside of school, Ms. Grace enjoys cooking, yoga, hiking, playing sports, gardening, and listening to music.

Ms. Deena studied Early Childhood Education at Diablo Valley College, building on her early experiences working with children and families. She began working at The Godard School in 2019, bringing with her more than 30 years of dedication to supporting young learners. In the classroom, Ms. Deena believes deeply in the joy, potential, and individuality of every child. Her interest in teaching began at age 16 when she worked as an aide at a school, and continued to grow as she raised her two sons and worked in various childcare settings. Ms. Deena values strong relationships with families and co-teachers and finds great fulfillment in being part of each child's early learning journey. Outside of school, Ms. Deena enjoys music, art, and dancing. She also loves spending time with her family and friends.

Ms. Marina earned her bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Alexandria in Egypt. She also completed Montessori training and gained hands-on experience working in a Montessori school. She began working at The Goddard School in 2022, bringing with her several years of experience in early childhood development, including three years of teaching before relocating to the United States in 2018. In the classroom, Ms. Marina believes in creating a warm, engaging environment where children feel supported, curious, and confident. Her approach blends structure with exploration, encouraging children to learn through hands-on experiences and meaningful connections. She values the individuality of each child and strives to nurture their growth academically, socially, and emotionally. Outside of school, Ms. Marina enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. She also loves staying active through sports and relaxing with a good book.

Ms. Kumudini moved to the United States in 2005, bringing with her a strong love for learning and an international background. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics, has completed Montessori teacher training, and has taken several early childhood education courses. Throughout her career, she has nurtured young minds at Step by Step Preschool, One World Montessori, and Villa Montessori, gaining valuable experience across a variety of learning environments. She also enjoys staying involved in her daughter’s school through volunteering. In the classroom, Ms. Kumudini is passionate about fostering curiosity and a love of learning. She strives to create a supportive and engaging environment where children feel encouraged to explore, ask questions, and grow with confidence. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Kumudini enjoys cooking and sharing delicious meals, tending to her garden, and spending quality time with her family.
