Marc, Owner We have been the owners of the Goddard School in Swedesboro, NJ since it opened in 2005.
With three young children of our own, we understand the importance of Early Childhood Development. All three of our children have gone through the Goddard program.
We enjoy working with children and love being able to offer parents a safe, nurturing environment for their children.


Lauren, Director
I came to The Goddard School in May of 2006 as the Head Teacher in the Preschool 1 classroom. Before coming to Goddard I worked at many other preschools and also babysat many children. I was then promoted to Assistant Director in December of 2006 and then Director in April of 2007 where I continue to enjoy each day.
I have my Bachelors Degree in Human Services with a concentration in Early Childhood Development from Thomas Edison State College. I continued my education and received my Master's Degree in Human Services Counseling of Marriage and Families.
I have a true passion for children and helping them to develop fully in all developmental areas.


Rachel, Director
I received my Associate's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix and my Bachelor's Degree in Social Science from Thomas Edison University.

I have been with The Goddard School since 2009, starting with before and after care, then making my way to the First Steps classroom and eventually as a Lead Teacher in Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten before being promoted to Assistant Director in 2016 and Director in 2017. I bring with me experience raising my own girls, ages 16, 4 and 20 months. I am motivated to positively impact all of the students in my care and I believe creating an environment where children are excited to participate and learn is an important step in ensuring continued success in school.


Michele, Lead Teacher Hello! I have been with The Goddard School since October 2018 but I have been in the childcare profession for nearly 20 years and have raised two children of my own. I love teaching children and thrive on seeing them happy. Another benefit to my position here is helping new parents become happy and comfortable and giving them a great experience.


Shanika, Lead Teacher Hi! I bring with me to Goddard many years of
experience in Early Childhood, elementary and secondary education. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in General Science with a concentration in Kindergarten-6th grade and a Master of Education Degree in elementary/secondary school counseling. I have over 10 years experience in education and 6 specifically in Early Childhood. What I enjoy most about teaching is helping children learn, grow and having fun in the process!


Kaydene, Lead Teacher Hello, my name is Kaydene Hanson. I have two little girls who attend The Goddard School and love being here. I have over 10 years experience working in early childhood education. I have decided to make teaching children my life's work because I believe early childhood education sets the foundation for a lifetime of learning. I am devoted to the social and emotional development of each child and make it my goal to ensure each child receives the best care and love that they all deserve.


Kate, Lead Teacher Hello, my name is Kate and I have been in childcare for the past 11 years. I began as an assistant here at The Goddard School in 2013 and loved it! However, I knew that one day I wanted to become a lead. I love having my own classroom and writing my own lesson plans. I love teaching and have always wanted to fulfill that dream and I am so thankful I get to do it here at The Goddard School!!


Kelly, Lead Teacher Hi! I’m Kelly! I am the Group Lead Teacher for Preschool 1 and Preschool 2. I have experience both in the classroom along with the experience I gained while earning my Associates Degree in Elementary Education and my Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. I look forward to continuing my own education and contributing to my students love for learning!


Michelle, Lead Teacher I have been with the Goddard School since August of 2006. I graduated from Kingsway Regional High School and have been working with children since I was 16 years old. I started working in preschools right after high school and have worked with every age: Infant through 11 years old.
My goals are to be able to watch the children in the school grow, learn, and develop self confidence. Knowing that I have made a positive impact in their lives makes me happy. I love my job because I come to work and see them smiling, laughing, and learning and I know that I was a part of that.


Jessica, Lead Teacher Hi! I’m Jess! I am super excited to lead the Preschool 2 classroom. I started at Goddard in Spring of 2018 as an Assistant Teacher in the Preschool 1 classroom. Before coming to Goddard I worked as a Teacher’s aide in a public school while working on my degree. I currently hold an Associates Degree in Education and plan to pursue a Preschool-3rd grade certification.


Theresa, Lead Teacher I began working at The Goddard School in Swedesboro in the Fall of 2011. I started my career as a substitute and became full time staff. Over the years, I have worked in a variety of age groups from First Steps to Before and After. In the Fall of 2015, I became the Preschool 2 lead teacher before moving to the Kindergarten Prep program in the Fall of 2017. I especially enjoy teaching Science experiments, leading group discussions and introducing my students to different traditions and cultures from around the world.


Chelsey, Lead Teacher Hi, I’m Chelsey and I have been with Goddard since 2009. I received my Bachelor Degree for Elementary Education from Rowan University in 2013. I come from a very large family of seven younger brothers and sisters. Teaching has been my passion since I was a little girl! Since graduating, I have had the pleasure of working with many different age groups throughout Goddard. I love children and enjoy instilling a love for learning throughout the classroom!


Karen, Assistant Teacher Hi, I’m Miss Karen! I come to Goddard with 15 years experience owning and operating my own preschool. It truly is a blessing to be able to nurture and teach your children each day.


Terry, Assistant Teacher After two decades of working as an Executive/Personal Assistant it was time to make a change. So I became an Assistant Teacher here at the Goddard School. I have always loved children so walking through the Goddard doors, in April of 2019, was an organic choice for me. After months of assisting in several classrooms I was excited when I was asked if I wanted to permanently join the Infant Room! Having a small part in the development of someone’s baby has given me rewards beyond words.


Carleigh , Assistant Teacher Hi! I am Miss Carleigh! I am happy to be a part of the First Steps classroom! I do have experience both in a center and as a private nanny but I am excited to further my knowledge and experience through my time here. My goal is to create a safe and happy space that children look forward to being a part of and parents feel good about leaving their little ones for the day.


Gia, Assistant Teacher Hi, I’m Gia! I am excited to join The Goddard School team because my hope is to grow within this field, specifically learning all of the tools necessary to help children have an enjoyable and successful experience here. I pride myself on being a great role model for children and being a person that they feel safe and happy with. I have experience with ages ranging from 1 to 8 years old and I am happy to join the little ones in first steps!


Jackie, Assistant Teacher Hello! I am excited to be a part of the Goddard team and enjoy being with the little ones in the First Steps classroom. I have experience helping to take care of the children in my family and I am eager to be able to learn more through my experience here. What I enjoy most about my position here is helping children make friends, work together, build their self-confidence and independence. I also cherish the relationships I build with our little ones and their families.


Carol, Assistant Teacher I am so happy to be able to gain experience here at The Goddard School while earning my Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. While I do have some experience with ages ranging from 2 to 10 years old, I look forward to learning and growing here and I am loving the relationships I have built in the Pre-Toddler classroom!


Nicole, Assistant Teacher Hi! I come to Goddard with many years experience as a nanny, as well as, babysitting. I graduated from Clearview in 2016 and went on to RCGC to earn an Associate’s degree . My goal as an early childhood educator is to help shape a better future for children .


Tomika, Assistant Teacher Working with children is something I have enjoyed for many years now. Not only do I have experience working with ages ranging from 2-13 years old but I have 3 girls of my own, ages 20, 17 and 15. It makes me happy putting a smile on a child's face and I love getting the opportunity to do so everyday in the Pre-Toddler classroom!


Christen, Assistant Teacher I joined The Goddard School in the summer of 2014 and have experience working in several of the classrooms. I have experience as a babysitter for several of the families within the community and also volunteer at my church Sunday school. I received my Associate's degree in Education from Gloucester County College and my Bachelor's Degree in Family and Human Development from Arizona State University. Working here at The Goddard School has impacted my life tremendously over the years and opened my mind to more creative ways to help children learn. I enjoy reading my favorite Disney books to my class to make the day even more magical for them.


Erica, Assistant Teacher Hi! I have been working with children since my freshman year in high school, taking early childhood development classes. From there, I worked a number of years in a center before joining the Goddard team. I have been in the Get Set class for some time now and have really enjoyed making the classroom my home. It is exciting and rewarding to watch our little ones grow, learn and have fun and I enjoy the relationships I develop with both the children and families !


Tashika, Assistant Teacher Hi, My name is Teika!
I have enjoyed working in the Preschool 2 classroom since 2018 and being a part of the team. I have many years experience working with children of all different age groups and have two boys of my own. It has been exciting and very rewarding witnessing the children in our class soak up something new everyday and I’m happy to have already built lasting relationships with my students and their families!


Cara, Assistant Teacher Hi, My name is Cara!!
I started working here at The Goddard School as a substitute teacher in various classrooms. I am now happy to say that I have been the full time assistant teacher in our Pre-K classroom for some time now and I thoroughly enjoy it! It is extremely rewarding to witness our students learn and grow and to be getting them ready for such a big next step, such as Kindergarten, is a great feeling!!


Robin, Assistant Teacher
Hello, my name is Robin! I have been here,at Goddard, since 2012. I attended High School in Brooklyn, NY and while there completed a Montessori Training Program for Early Childhood Development. I have worked in early childhood for over 17 years as an in home provider and in classroom settings.
My goal as an Early Childhood Educator is to provide children with a loving, nurturing, safe environment to learn, grow, and play in. I love the element of joy and surprise that comes over a child’s face when they have learned and accomplished something for the first time.


Darcy, Assistant Teacher Hi, I'm Darcy! I have been a part of The Goddard School team for 5 years now. I have been in every single classroom helping out and building relationships with both the children and their families. I also spend a lot of my time in the Before and After School program and on the bus assisting the little ones going to and from the public school. Before coming to Goddard I had many years experience in early childhood education, have 3 of my own children and now have the pleasure of watching my grandchildren thrive here at Goddard!


Jennifer, Assistant Teacher Hi! I’ve been with Goddard since it opened! I did take some time off to help my grandmother and have my own little one, Marc, who attends Goddard now but I am happy to be back and welcome my newest addition to The Goddard School, Cooper! I enjoy being with the before and after school program. It is truly rewarding to play such an important role in their lives!
