    Eduardo and Maria

    Owners
    Eduardo and his wife María are the proud owners and onsite operators of the Goddard School of Pearland since mid-2018. They reside in Shadow Creek Ranch with their baby girl and two sons, Alejandro and Lucas, both currently enrolled in the school. Eduardo holds a master’s degree in international business law from Queen Mary University of London. He led a successful law firm for over a decade. He gained experience in education by working as a college professor and volunteering in an NGO that taught democratic values to small children. María has a degree in communications and a master’s in media management. She traveled across five continents as a travel writer until becoming a mother when she decided that there was no better place in the world she’d rather be than beside her family. Since then, she has worked as a freelance journalist, often writing about topics related to parenthood and children’s health. Now they both want to deliver the highest standards of education in a safe, happy and nurturing environment, building the best school for their kids and yours.     Quality Assurance Director
    Mrs. Shay has worked in early education since 2006 and has being with The Goddard School of Pearland for over a decade. She grew up helping her mother with foster kids which made her realize she wanted to dedicate her life to children. “That really created a passion in my soul for what I live to do. I love every minute of being part of the Goddard Family”, she says and it definitely shows. You’ll see her walking through the hallways making sure that all is in place. Her priorities are always the children, and strives to create a loving environment at our school where it feels like home away from home for our families. She’s a mom of a 6 year old son and has a Child Development Associate Degree and a Director Certification. Mrs. Shay continues her education through Goddard Systems University (GSU) classes. She is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check with the state and federal authorities.

    Maryel

    Assistant Director
    Ms. Maryel started working with children as a bilingual teacher for Alvin ISD ten years ago when emigrated from South America to United States. She has worked with many age groups and even operated a daycare at home. All those kids our now first and second graders! After being a stay at home mom and wife, she decided it was time to go back to do what she loved and started working in Goddard as a teacher and now as Assistant Director. “My philosophy of learning while having fun alienates perfectly with all that is done here at the school. It was a perfect match from the start”, she says. Mrs. Mayel continues her education through Goddard Systems University (GSU) classes. She is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check with the state and federal authorities.

    Lead Teacher
    Mrs. Ale is the lead Pre-K teacher and has been a part of the Goddard family since 2012. She holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) and is eager to share all of her knowledge with her class! She is married and the proud mother of a son and daughter. Her philosophy is to believe that each child has unique abilities and it is our duty to build on them. Mrs. Ale continues her education through Goddard Systems University (GSU) classes. She is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check with the state and federal authorities.

    Teacher
    Ms Miranda is the lead teacher of our Get Set A classroom. She has over 19 years of experience in childcare and she has worked proudly in this school for almost a decade. Throughout this time she has participated in several trainings that have allowed her to understand the development of children of this age. She’s originally from Mexico but has lived in Houston for 22 years. As a Mexico native she shares her extensive spanish vocabulary with the children. Mrs. Miranda continues her education through Goddard Systems University (GSU) classes. She is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check with the state and federal authorities.

    Teacher
    Mts. Octavia has two daughters and have been a teacher in Early Childhood Education since 2004 and a member of the Goddard Family since 2012. "I believe that all children are valuable. The best part of my day is watching children use their imagination through play", she says. She continues her education through Goddard Systems University (GSU) classes. She is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check with the state and federal authorities.

    Young Toddlers
    Mrs. KeKe has worked in the Early Childhood Education field since 1999. She's been in the Goddard Family since 2009 and holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) degree. "Working with toddlers gives me the chance to see how much they change during this stage where they learn to talk, share, play with others and work on potty training", she says. Mrs. Keke continues her education through Goddard Systems University (GSU) classes. She is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check with the state and federal authorities.

    Shaklie

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Shaklie has over 8 years of experience in early childhood education and has been in Goddard since 2015. As an assistant dance teacher, she sure knows how to entertain her class when it is time for music and dance lessons. Her teaching philosophy is that by embracing each child's uniqueness one can show them the world in a positive way. Mrs. Shaklie continues her education through Goddard Systems University (GSU) classes. She is CPR and First Aid certified and has completed a background check with the state and federal authorities.
