    David & Marcedes

    On-site Owners
    David and Marcedes are passionate and dedicated owners of The Goddard School of Avery Ranch. David, a longtime Austin resident brings a background as an applications engineer from his time in the Philadelphia area. Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, he loves incorporating S.T.E.A.M into the children's daily activities. Marcedes is a true Austinite, born and raised in the heart of Texas. After attending St. Edward University, she ventured into various entrepreneurial opportunities. When they're not immersed in the world of education, David and Marcedes cherish family time at the lake, relish walks and hikes, and savor the energy of live music and sports events. Their newest joy is Sofia, their first child. Beyond their school, David and Marcedes play crucial roles in the community. They actively engage with organizations like HAAM, Mobile Loaves & Fishes, and other local community groups and charities.

    Assistant Director
    Dr. Skylar Garza is excited to join the Goddard team. He has over 7 years of educational experiences in schools, non-profits, and summer camps for underserved students. He is a changemaker who loves to go on adventures with his dogs and spend time with family. We are excited for the impact Dr. Skylar will have on our community!

    Máxima is our Assistant Director at The Goddard School. With a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to creating a nurturing environment, Máxima is dedicated to supporting the growth and development of young minds. With 5 years in child development, Máxima brings energy, enthusiasm, and a love for fostering positive learning experiences for children. As Assistant Director, Máxima plays a key role in shaping the school's environment, ensuring a safe and stimulating atmosphere for every child to thrive. With a warm smile and a hands-on approach, Máxima is an integral part of The Goddard School community, contributing to the joy of watching young learners flourish every day.

    Ms. Johana is a devoted mother originally from Venezuela. Her journey in the world of nurturing and education began with a certification in Early Childhood Education from Austin Community College, where she honed her skills in understanding and fostering the development of young minds. Family holds a special place in her heart, and she cherishes every moment spent together, creating lasting memories specially for her 13 years old son. Johana's passion extends beyond her own family, as she takes great delight in being surrounded by children and making a positive impact on their lives. Her nurturing spirit and genuine enthusiasm for fostering growth in the younger generation reflect not just in her professional role but also in the way she approaches life. With a warm heart and a dedication to creating a positive influence, Johana embodies the essence of a caring mother, an educator, and a pillar of strength in her community.

    Meet Mrs. Nova, our Kitchen Manager, bringing a decade of experience working with children of all ages. A Round Rock resident for the past 14 years, Mrs. Nova is thrilled to be a part of Goddard, finding joy in the amusing and sweet things the children say. During her free time, Mrs. Nova enjoys playing board games and going on hikes with her family, making the most of her moments outside the kitchen.

Her experience extends to serving as a Spanish and Special Education (SPED) teacher in the ISD, and she's thrilled to channel her expertise into our school. Ms. Helda holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Development, showcasing her commitment to understanding the intricacies of young minds. Outside the classroom, she finds joy in a variety of activities, including hiking, walking, playing the piano, practicing yoga, gardening, and indulging in the art of cooking.     Meet Ms. Amy, our esteemed Lead Teacher in the Preschool 2 program, bringing an impressive 24 years of teaching experience in both Early Childhood Education and the ISD. A proud graduate of UT with a Bachelor's degree and certifications across various education fields, Ms. Amy is a seasoned educator. Passionate about preschool education, Ms. Amy believes that exposing children to cognitive, psychosocial, and physical development-based learning empowers them to explore their environment and develop verbal communication skills. Her dedication to fostering a holistic learning environment shines through in her approach. Beyond the classroom, Ms. Amy cherishes her time with her three children. Her hobbies include the expressive realms of painting and drawing, and she finds inspiration by visiting art museums. Ms. Amy's wealth of experience and enthusiasm make her an invaluable asset to our educational team at Goddard!

    Meet Ms. Petunia, the Lead Teacher in our Pre-K 2 program, where she engages with the vibrant world of four and five-year-old children. With three years of dedicated experience working with kids aged four to six, Ms. Petunia brings a wealth of knowledge and a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Arts. Thrilled to be a part of The Goddard School, Ms. Petunia expresses her excitement about gaining new knowledge and insights as a teacher. Her passion for working with children stems from the pure, innocent, and lovable nature they exhibit when forming connections and building relationships. Outside the classroom, Ms. Petunia fills her free time with the joy of discovering new music, exploring culinary delights, indulging in anime, and unleashing creativity through arts and crafts.
