I am from Oak Park, IL where I owned and operated a childcare facility for 21 years before relocating to Mississippi. I have a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and an associate's degree in Finance Management and Communications. I enjoy spending quality time with family, reading, bowling, taking road trips, and having great conversations with my parrot "Rocky". I have a big heart for children, and enjoy making a positive difference in their lives. I care for all children with love and acceptance.

I am from Memphis, TN, but I currently live in Olive Branch, Mississippi. I went to the University of Mississippi and have a Bachelor's in Education. I have 10+ years of experience working with children in childcare. I have primarily taught three and four-year-olds. I am married to my childhood sweetheart. We have a Border Collie Lab named Bayley and one sweet little girl, Lillie. I love to read, play games, do crafts, spend time with my family, and teach kidslife at church. I enjoy being with children and seeing their faces light up because they have learned something new. It is an honor to work with children.

Spent the last 3 years as a 911 Dispatcher for the DeSoto County Sheriff's Department. I am one of eight children, six of whom are younger than me. Some of my favorite things are: Cooking, Watching movies, camping, working in the yard, or concert/sport event.

I was born and raised in Bavaria, Germany. I moved to the U.S. in 2006. I am a State Certified Educator, and received my BS in Education from the Professional Academy of Social Pedagogy in Bamberg, Germany. I also hold a Montessori. I have 25+ years teaching experience, and have taught infants and mixed age classes of 3-6 years old children. I am happily married to my husband, Lanier, since 2001. We have no children but own 9 pets. In my free time I like to be outside in nature or spend time sitting under one of our pecan trees and read a book. Since I was a young girl growing up, I wanted to be a teacher. I love the interaction and seeing kids grow as future adults. Also, the impact I have on a child's early life always amazes me.

Teaching is in her heart and she enjoys knowing she makes a difference every day. “I enjoy daily adventures and getting to know the students. Every child is different and as educators we should find how children learn and teach them that way. I enjoy the fact I have a hand in teaching the future of tomorrow.”

My name is Christine Pirtle Jones, I am from Grand Junction, TN. I went to school at Middleton High School, graduated in 1989. I also graduated from University of Phoenix with an Associate degree in Healthcare in 2012. I owned and operated Christine's Angels for 16 years. I love reading, cooking, decorating, and most of all, serving others. My favorite thing to do is helping others. I serve as the Director of Rivers of Life International Ministry Food Ministry. I also participate in other groups such as: Feeding the Children, Healthy TN, and Mid-South Food Bank. I enjoy teaching because it gives me a sense of purpose. I believe that I have been called to teach children so that they can be our future. Teaching is a joy.

Ms. Connie has been with The Goddard School in Collierville since 2019. She has a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management and earned her Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 2015. She has 20+ years in education alone and is particularly knowledgeable in European History and Civil War studies. She enjoys teaching students about civilizations they usually do not know about. “All children can learn at varying levels. Teachers should meet each child at his or her level to make a strong connection.”

Ms. Emily has been with the Goddard School in Collierville since 2017. She is originally from Chattanooga, TN and received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi. She has taught various ages during her 15 years of experience and enjoys teaching and watching children grasp concepts for the first time. “Each child can bring such joy to others, and I love finding what makes each child happy and engaged.”

I am originally from St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands. I Went to University of Memphis where I graduated with a Bachelors of Education. I recently worked in other preschool environments as well as worked at all inclusive Summer Camps. I love to spend my weekends outdoors & being a foodie. I enjoy swimming, Bike riding, & kayaking. I enjoy watching a child's educational growth, seeing how excited a kid gets once they have accomplished something they thought they couldn't, or wanted to give up on.

I am from India(Tamil Nadu). I completed my M.SC, M.Phil,and B.ED, and worked as a teacher for 2 years in India. Prior to joining Goddard, I worked as a Math teacher for 1 1/2 years and substitute teacher for 6 months in the U.S. I like to go shopping with my kids and to take long trips. I love to have fun and play teaching. I enjoy spending with my kids and family.

Ms. Juakerra is originally from middle TN and attended UT Martin where she earned her Bachelor’s in Child and Family Studies in Food and Nutrition. She began her career as a Program Director at the YMCA where she worked with children from 6 weeks old to middle school age. Her time spent there changed her career path to focus on Early Childhood Education, and she loves it! “I love watching little minds work and learn. As an adult, I often forget how something so mundane to an adult is the WORLD to a child. I love their playful nature and how they explore their surroundings. Teaching has taught me more about myself as well.”

I am from Nashville, TN. I moved to Olive Branch, MS about a year ago. My husband and I have the cutest fur baby. I am a transfer student from Middle Tennessee State University to The University of Memphis. I will graduate May 2022 with a Bachelors Degree in Educational Careers. I have worked with children of all ages since 2015. I am a huge crafter. I enjoy making time with gifts for people. I enjoy spending time with my family back home in Nashville. When I am not focused on school, I enjoy taking my dog on walks with my husband. Quality tme is important to me. I have enjoyed how children learn and think. Children have amazing ideas and perspectives. Everyday is a new day and my job will never get boring. The best part is knowing I can choose a career with a purpose. Watching the light bulb go off in a child's head is what I enjoy the most.

She has been working in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education since 2011 and has experience in many different age groups. “I enjoy seeing children grow and learn new things.”

Ms. Lisa, a co-lead teacher in one of our pre-kindergarten rooms, was born and raised in Ohio and received a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University. She has more than 23 years experience in child care, working mostly with pre-kindergarten-aged children.

I am from Memphis, TN. I attended Lipscomb University where I spent a year in nursing school. While in school, I worked part time at Children First Montessori School, where I found my passion for teaching. I graduated with child and family studies in May 2018. I have endless childcare experience from daycare, to camp counselors,to volunteer, and babysitting. I have a 3 year daughter who is my entire life. We are attached at the hip. I love being outdoors and hiking or walking. I have a black cat named Boo Boo(Stella calls her Boo Boo Kitty) and a bunny. I love diet coke! I love being able to see the light bulb go off in a child when they figure something out. I want to use positive reinforcement to help each child grow,so they look forward to winning each day. I had a poor experience in school from Pre k through 12th grade. I hope to be able to make a positive impact on each child and set them up for a better future, and instill confidence at a young age.

She has over 10 years’ experience in education where she was a substitute teacher for a number of years before moving her focus to Early Childhood Education. “I love to see children grow in knowledge and wisdom. I love to help children be the best that they can be and reach their greatest potential in life.”

Meyyammai has worked as an Early Childhood professional for eight years. Her experience ranges from toddlers to school-age children. She holds a bachelor and master degree from India. In her free time, Mey loves working with arts and crafts. She has used art as a grasping tool for teaching young children. Mey learns new things from the children when working with them. She enjoys bringing out the unique qualities of each child.

Patcharin is from Thailand, where she received a Bachelor's degree and taught 2nd grade. In 2010, she moved to Maryland for a work study program as an au pair, then relocated to the Memphis area in 2014. While working in a licensed daycare, she studied Early Childhood Education and received her degree in 2016. Patcharin has over 9 years of experience working with children. Patcharin loves to cook and she enjoys food from a variety of cultures. She loves to travel and enjoys learning about history. Also, she was a tour guide at the ancient ruins in the former capital of Thailand. The most rewarding aspect of teaching is seeing children accomplish something independently that we have been working towards in the classroom.

Most of her childcare experience comes from working while going to school, and she quickly learned the infant age was her favorite! “I can't wait to get to know and learn about your babies! I love being able to step back and experience life from a child's view. I feel successful when I see growth and observe learning in children.”

I am from India, I did my school and college there. I have experience babysitting neighbor's children, teaching, and tutoring, since High School up until 5 years ago. Ms. Stephanie has been with The Goddard School in Collierville since 2019. She is originally from Memphis and has 25 years’ experience working in Early Childhood Education. She attended Southwest Community College where she obtained her CDA. She is currently working towards her degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of Phoenix. “Teaching can be really fun. I enjoy the excitement from the children. My activities implement cognitive and developmental practices to help children grow with love and joy.”

Ms. Toni has been with The Goddard School in Collierville since 2020. She is originally from New Orleans, LA and attended Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA. She began her teaching career there before relocating to Los Angeles, CA. She has over 17 years of teaching in Early Childhood Education and also has her CDA. “Working with children has been my comfort zone. I love to inspire, motivate, and see them happy.”

Ms. Tori has been with The Goddard School in Collierville since 2018. She was born and raised in Memphis and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Child and Family Studies from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She previously taught in our First Steps class and is now a lead teacher in our Preschool program. “All students can learn when they are accepted for who they are and where they stand in their educational journey. There must be mutual trust in place between the teacher, children, and parents for effective learning.”

She is originally from Hartland, WI and is a proud graduate of Jackson State University in Jackson, MS and the University of Mississippi. She has over 20 years of teaching experience working with various ages. She is also fluent in Spanish! “I enjoy helping to raise a child's confidence and helping children problem solve.”

I was born in Kansas, raised in Louisiana, and just recently decided to plant roots in Mississippi. I graduated from Ponchatoula High School in 2013, and have plans to continue my education to obtain a degree in Childcare. I previously was a Pre-k teacher. Our school shut down due to Covid-19, however, it has lead me here to start a new exciting journey teaching your babies. My favorite things to do are reading, fishing , and shopping. If I am not doing those things, then I'm spending time with my family. I have three dogs at home who believe they're my kids and require 99% of my full attentiion when I'm around. They bring me lots of love and happiness, without them, I wouldn't be the same me. I love how rewarding teaching is! My heart feels full when I watch children learn new things each day. Teaching doesn't feel like a job when you love what you do! To see children grow, overcome, and master something they thought was impossible yesterday, brings a smile to all of our faces today.

And many times while teaching children, you also learn many new things from them.”

Arin Kowalczyk is one of our substitutes to help give additional support to our teachers throughout the day. She graduated Arlington High School in 2019 and is currently attending Southwest Tennessee Community College as a pre-nursing student. Arin enjoys pasta and spending time with her dog which is a Jack Russel Terrier named Bella. She enjoys the beach with her family and loves to go to Hilton Head Island with them every year. Arin loves watching how children grow and how learning is different to each of them. She understands that it is okay for children to have their emotions and are learning how to react and express those emotions. She loves to see the simple things that make them happy and it brings happiness and joy to her!

Ms. Yaneth recently relocated to Tennessee from Dayton, TX. She has two years’ experience working with children as an in home caregiver and substitute teacher and most recently as an Instructional Aide in a special education program. “I enjoy teaching because you are able to make a difference in someone’s life as well as them making a difference in yours. Children tend to see the world in a different way and can teach us as well.”
