    Cholan received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras, a master’s degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Ohio University and an MBA from the University of Portland. Most recently, he has held senior executive positions at various technology firms in the Portland metro area. “I am excited and proud to be a part of The Goddard School and am committed to providing the highest quality preschool experience for the children in the neighborhood,” says Cholan.

    Hello, My name is Jaidah I have been teaching for 7 years. I have been in admin for 4 years. I have my AA in ECE and my BA in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Business. I can not wait to meet all the families and grow as a Goddard family and community.

    Lead Teacher- The Busy Bees (Age 6wks-12mo)
    Originally from sunny San Diego, California, Ms. Xochilt holds a Bachelor's degree in Child Development with a minor in Family Studies. With over four years of experience working with young children, she brings both knowledge and a nurturing spirit to the classroom. Ms. Xochilt is passionate about helping children grow, learn, and discover their world in meaningful ways. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, drawing, and exploring all that Portland has to offer. A fun fact—she has a unique collection of rabbit-themed items that reflects her playful and creative personality!

    Lead Teacher- The Playful Penguins (Age 1-2)
    Briceyda was born and raised in the Portland area where she graduated from Benson High School and later earned her Child Development Associate (CDA) degree. Briceyda grew up in a big family with 6 siblings and an American Eskimo named Olaf. She enjoys being outdoors and walking her dog. Briceyda fell in love with working with children in high school and has six years of experience. As she continues to teach, she works to provide children with a safe environment where they can learn and explore. Briceyda is happy to be a part of the Goddard team for the past 4 years creating relationships with her kiddos and watching them grow.

    Lead Teacher- The Playful Penguins (Age 1-2)
    Ms. Chloe has a passion for working with young children and chose the field of education to make a meaningful difference. She has completed coursework at Oregon State University and brings prior experience working in a preschool setting. Originally from Hawaii and later Las Vegas, Chloe moved to Portland in search of a more balanced and supportive environment. In her free time, she enjoys swimming and spending time with friends. Chloe is excited to be part of The Goddard School, where she values the structure and consistency it provides to help children thrive.

    Co-Lead Teacher - The Energetic Elephants (Age 2-3)
    Originally from the Bay Area in California, Teacher Padma recently relocated to the Portland area to be closer to her daughter and beloved grandchildren. With a background in retail at Mervyn's, Padma has always had a passion for connecting with people—especially young children. Her kind heart, joyful spirit, and love for nurturing little learners make her a wonderful presence in the classroom. Outside of school, Padma enjoys spending quality time with her family, playing with her dogs, listening to music, cooking, and enjoying board games.

    Assistant Teacher- The Lovely Lions (Ages 4-5)
    Ms. Kate is a new teacher at The Goddard School in South Portland, originally from Western Pennsylvania, and recently moved to Oregon. She graduated from Greensburg Salem High School, earned her Pre-K to Grade 4 teaching certification, and is pursuing a bachelor's in early childhood education. Kate worked for three years as a preschool co-teacher at Goddard in Pennsylvania, and is known for creating warm, supportive classrooms with fun, hands-on activities that foster learning and confidence. She enjoys outdoor activities with her boyfriend, including running, traveling, shopping, and going to the beach. Her travels include exploring Crater Lake, the Oregon Coast, Mt. Rainer, Vancouver BC, and Germany. She is a hockey fan, cheering for the Pittsburgh Penguins.

    Toddler Lead Teacher
    I was born in Skopje, Macedonia. I am a proud mother of three. Teaching young children is my passion. I like the process of discovery, and learning new things. The excitement that we share when we learn new things is the most satisfying feeling of achievement and victory. I studied Macedonian Language and South Slavic Languages at The Philology University of Sts. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje. I have an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from University of Hawai'i. I like to crochet, knit, cook, paint, and write. l also, enjoy nature, and dabble in gardening.

    Hi, My name is Adia! I have been teaching for about 5 years, working mostly with children ranging from 1-3 years old. I am so grateful to spend my days helping children grow and being able to observe as they all reach fun, new milestones! I look forward to getting to know all of the families and kiddos here at Goddard!

    Hi! My name is Aleatha, and I’m so excited to be part of the infant classroom! I have over 10 years of customer service experience, where I learned the importance of patience, communication, and creating positive relationships. As a mom, I’ve also gained a deep appreciation for early childhood development and love helping little ones learn, grow, and feel safe in a nurturing environment. I’m passionate about creating meaningful connections with children and supporting their curiosity through play and exploration. Fun Fact: I have a love for Japanese culture and enjoy learning about different traditions and languages! Four Things I Love: ?? Spending time with my son, Ikku ?? Japanese culture and cherry blossom season ?? Reading and learning new things ? Cozy coffee shops and nature walks

    Hello everyone my name is Ms. Tytiana. I moved here from San Diego. I worked as a preschool teacher in San Diego under the United States Navy and I've worked as a paraproessional with children who have special needs in K-12. I love to have fun when working with kids so science, art, music and dance is a must for a good day in the Pre-K class. I can not wait for all the fun we will be having in class this year in the Pre-K class.
