The Goddard School® of Florham Park, an early childhood education center, is currently seeking a qualified, caring, and energetic Assistant Teacher . Our ideal candidate MUST be interested in working with children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. The candidate (experience preferred) must love children and possess great people skills as well as be a dependable, high-energy and enthusiastic teaching professional. The ability to produce well-written lesson plans using proper grammar and punctuation is required. A friendly and caring demeanor and the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with school personnel, children and parents and to work under pressure is essential. Assistant Teacher Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Minimum of 18 years of age Prior experience preferred Must pass BCII and FBI Fingerprinting Our Assistant Teacher work together with our Lead Teachers: Developing and implementing lesson plans Meeting the individual needs of the children including feeding and diapering/potty training Participation in staff and training meetings Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom Interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child’s age and developmental level Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff Meeting Goddard Quality Assurance and NJ state requirements Using and completing assessment tools The Goddard School offers competitive compensation and benefits based on experience, education and certifications and is an Equal Opportunity Employer The Goddard School® is a renowned program with a Piaget (Learning through Play) based foundation and a leader in the franchised preschool industry which is growing and continues to set the standard for excellence.
