Our Goddard School Teachers

Malvika has a Bachelor's degree in Economics and earned her Masters in Business Administration from Virginia Tech. She is thrilled to be able to provide The Goddard School's outstanding accredited program to the children and families in the Concord, Kannapolis and surrounding communities. Fun Fact: Enjoys running and singing. Her favorite children's book series is Dr. Seuss.

Ms. Delathia (Dee) is the Executive Director at TGS. She has a Bachelors of Arts in Education as well as an Associates in Early Childhood Education. She has been in the education field since 1997 and has held a variety of positions, working with all age groups. She plans to earn a Master's Degree in the near future. As an educator, she strives to instill a love for learning in children. She is excited to be a part of The Goddard School family. Fun Fact: Ms. Dee enjoys competitive bowling.

Ms. Chaaya is a proud graduate of Central Cabarrus High School in Concord, NC, and holds a degree in Early Childhood Development from Walden University. She also earned her Infant and Toddler Certification from Stanly Community College. Since 2018, she’s been nurturing little minds and hearts with care and creativity. Ms. Chaaya believes every child learns in their own unique way, and she’s passionate about helping them grow, learn, and build meaningful connections. Fun Fact: When she’s not in the classroom, Ms. Chaaya loves going to the park, baking sweet treats, painting, and traveling to new places! She loves reading the book Hair Love to her own child.

Mrs. Candi has a background in Early Childhood Education and Business Management with 20+ years of experience working in ECE as a teacher, mentor, coach, and in school operational leadership. She believes we learn from children through their unique discoveries. "I love watching their "aha" moments as they learn!". Fun Fact: Mrs. Candi loves writing, including children's books, she loves music, and traveling with her family. Her favorite children's book is Where The Wild Things Are.

Ms. Kalisa graduated from West Stanly High School and has been working in the education field since 1996. We are excited to have her here at The Goddard School. She enjoys watching the children grow and learn new things everyday. Fun Fact: Ms. Kalisa likes to travel and loves ice cream. Her favorite children's book is Green Eggs and Ham.

Ms. Radha works as a Lead Teacher in one of our Two's programs. She earned her degree in Teachers Training and B.A. in English from Annamali University in India. She has been teaching since 2009, and previously worked as a Primary School Teacher in Dharmapuri, India. Her passion for teaching came at an early age as she loves spending time with children. She believes that every child learns at a different pace and we have to allow them to develop their skills. " All kids are different and unique, so I focus on the individual needs, strengths, and interests of each student". Fun Fact: Ms. Radha enjoys cooking, music, and spending time with her family. Her favorite children's books are the Little Blue Truck and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

Ms. Priya works in one of our Preschool Age Classrooms as a Co-lead teacher. She earned her BS in Computer Science and her MS in Information Technology from the University of Madras, India. She has her NC Teaching Credentials. She has been teaching since 2022. She believes that every person is unique, so she focuses on her student/teacher relationships with one-one interactions. "I believe that play is the most important experience in Early Childhood Education". Fun fact: Ms. Priya loves cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. Her favorite children's book is the Elephant and Piggy series.

Ms. Jen earned her CDA (Bilingual) from Rasmussen University in Bloomington, MN and received her NC credentials from Central Piedmont Community College. She also has her AAS in Early Childhood Education and her Administration Credentials. Ms. Jen believes that all children learn differently and enjoys giving them a hands-on experience. She loves watching their minds as work as they learn without knowing that they are learning. Fun fact: Ms. Jen loves to bake and spend time with her family.

Ms. Florencia has a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She also has her Early Childhood Education Credentials Certificate. She has been in the field of education since 2012. She loves to teach and interact with children because they are curious and eager to learn. She wants to assure she provides a safe, respectful, place to learn. " Early Education is very important and the teaching environment is fundamental for children to learn and develop". Fun Fact: She enjoys traveling and spending time with family. Her hobbies are reading, listening to music, dancing, and walking out in nature. Her favorite children's book is Dr. Seuss ABC's.

Ms. Lacostia earned her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Rowan Cabarrus community college and is pursuing her BA in Psychology from UNC. She is the lead teach of our blended preschool/pre-kindergarten program and has been in early childhood education since 2010. Her teaching philosophy is to create a nurturing and welcoming environment where children are valued and supported in their learning journey. She inspires curiosity in self-reliance through play and interactive learning." I believe every child has a unique voice that deserves to be heard, supported, and valued. I strive to create a warm welcoming environment where children feel safe to express themselves and explore the world around them". Fun fact: Ms. Lacostia enjoys skydiving, reading, working with plants, and interior decorating. Her favorite children's book series are Amelia Bedelia books.

Ms. Aliyah has her associate's degree in General Education and enjoys working with kids ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. Ms. Aliyah works as a co-lead teacher in one of our Two's programs and has been teaching since 2015. She believes in utilizing visual learning to help children learn and grow. She enjoys watching the children grow because she understands each child learns differently. " I believe children learn best through having fun and playing. They also need to feel safe to learn and I love working with children to provide care and trust". Fun Fact: Ms. Aliyah loves to read, write, do yoga, go hiking and walking. Her favorite children's book is Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?

Ms. Mukta has a Masters Degree in Commerce from BAMU University in India. She has been in the field of education since 2023, and previously volunteered in India. She believes that all children are unique, and strives to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment in which students are engaged in their learning process. "I love teaching and working with kids, they bring wonder, curiosity, and joy to everything they do". Fun Fact: She likes to spend time with her family and her hobbies include art, cooking, traveling, and gardening. Her favorite children's book is Panchatantra, a collection of Indian Fables.

Ms. Rama has earned her Master's degree in Science and NC Teaching Credentials. She started her teaching journey in 2024 and enjoys working with children. Ms. Rama works in our blended Preschool/Prekindergarten program as an Assistant teacher. She believes in creating an inclusive, engaging environment where every student feels valued. She feels that teaching is therapy and that while teaching children we learn something new each day. "I love teaching, because it allows me to inspire young minds, nurture their curiosity, and help them build a strong foundation for the future". Fun fact: Mrs. Rama is a good cook, loves designing her own costumes, movie nights with her family, she enjoys traveling to different places and doing crafts. Her favorite children's book is How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight.

Mrs. Saigeetha is the Lead Teacher in our Toddlers program. She earned her MA in Commerce from Annamalai University. She has been an educator since 1998 working with Kindergarten in India, and since 2019 in Early Childhood Education. She enjoys teaching and educating small children. As a passionate teacher, she believes children are awesome and enjoys helping them grow. "We have to give kids that confidence that they are in safe hands and teach them all the good things". Fun fact: Mrs. Saigeetha enjoys cooking, singing, and family time. Her favorite children's book series is Pete the Cat.

Mrs. Supriya earned her BA in Biotechnology from Mumbai University. She started her teaching journey in 2024. She believes every child is unique in their own way and that all kids need a little help, a little hope and somebody who believes in them! Fun fact: Mrs. Supriya likes to travel and enjoys spending time with her family and friends

Ms. Yevonne (Shardae) is the lead teacher in one of our 2's programs. She has an Associates degree in Earli Childhood Development from York Technical College and a B.A. in Early Childhood Education . She has been teaching since 2016 focusing primarily on two- year olds. She believes every child learns in their unique way and that as educators we learn how. "We teach with love and empathy. I love the 'lightbulb' moment when it all clicks!". Fun Fact: Ms. Shardae is loves to read, spend time at home with her family, and played the piano and clarinet growing up. Her favorite children's books are any by Mo Willems.

Ms. Krystal is the Lead teacher in our Infant program. She has her NC Early Childhood Credentials, worked in the Cabarrus County school system, and has been working with children since 2001. She enjoys nurturing and teaching the babies watching them grow and learn each day. "I teach with my heart and think that children are gifts meant to be loved and protected as they grow". Fun Fact: Ms. Krystal has been married for 18 years and has a lovable dog, Miller. Her favorite children's book is The Giving Tree.

Ms Shaniya is the co-teacher in one of our two-years programs. She has her NC Teacher Credentials and has been been working with children since 2016. She loves working with children to help them reach every milestone while watching them grow and learn. "I know that while they are growing, I am also growing with them as a teacher, caregiver, and friend". Fun Fact: Ms. Shaniya has been on 3 cruises and liked the book series Junie B. Jones as a kid.

Ms. Ezhilarasi (Ms. E.) has her MS in IT and works as an Assistant Teacher in our Preschool program. She began working in Early Childhood Education in 2010 in India as well as volunteering in elementary schools. " I believe in providing children and their families a safe, fun, and healthy learning environment where children can explore and grow". Fun Facts: Ms. E. loves cooking, gardening, playing with her kids, painting, interior decorating, and family time. Her favorite children's book series is Dr. Seuss books.

Ms. Pushpa has her Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering. She is excited to work with children and thus begun her Early Education journey in 2025. Ms. Pushpa believes in education as continuous learning. "I believe providing holistic development and experiential learning along with a child-centered approach to foster mental, emotional, and social growth". Fun Fact: Ms. Pushpa thinks that children are naturally humorous. She recounts a conversation. Child: How Old Are You?...Ancient?! Her favorite children's book is The Whole-Brain Child.

Ms. Tiffany is an alumna of Garinger High School, class of 2015. She also went to Central Piedmont Community College, where she gained her NC Early Childhood Credentials. She is now attending Rowan-Cabarrus Community College to earn her associate’s degree in early childhood education. She is genuinely excited to join the team and to be working with the young toddlers here at the Goddard School to build positive and strong relationships with families. She has been working in the childcare field since 2014, and enjoys being a teacher. She gained her teaching skills from her mother, who has been a teacher for over 40 years. Fun Fact: Ms. Tiffany is married, and enjoys going to the movies, going on mini vacations, and spending time with her family. Her favorite color is pink and her favorite children's book is I Love My Hair.
