Our Teachers

Ross Flax opened The Goddard School in King Farm in October of 2003. A Philadelphia native, Ross attended Temple University where he earned his BA degree in Business Administration. He has been married to his wife Sandra since 1987 and has successfully raised two Goddard School graduates - Gabriela and Harrison aged 26 and 23. Both children have active, successful lives since graduating from college and graduate school. Gabriela lives and works in London and Harrison in Denver. Ross began his Goddard School career in 1997 when he opened the first Goddard School in Columbia, Maryland. Since then, he has opened three additional schools in Clarksburg, Bethesda and Tysons Corner.

Ms. Jenn is our Center Director at The Goddard School. She has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development from Frederick Community College. She has been a Preschool teacher since 1996 and has been a Director in the Frederick area since 2001. Ms. Jenn has been with us since July 2013.

Mrs. Courtney Anderson is our Director of Education at The Goddard School of Rockville. She earned her B.A in Early Childhood Education Administration and has been with Goddard since 2013. She is currently credentialed at the MSDE Administrator Level 4. Courtney is the mother to an eleven-year-old son and one year old daughter. As you make your decisions for childcare, Courtney will be available to answer any questions you may have and ensure your child’s experience at The Goddard School is enriching and fulfilling.

Ms. Lynda Walker is our Assistant Director, supporting the administrative team in a variety of capacities. She earned her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Development at Frederick Community College, and is currently working towards her Bachelor’s degree. Lynda has worked in the Early Childhood Development field for over 10 years, and is currently credentialed at the MSDE Administrator Level 2. She is the mother of four wonderful children and one amazing grandson. Lynda is very excited to be a part of The Goddard Rockville family and looks forward to the opportunity of working with children and their families.

Mr. Eric is a teacher in our Accelerated Pre-K/Kindergarten program and our school curriculum mentor. He earned his CDA and 90-hour child development certifications with a focus in preschool and pre-k curriculum.

Ms. Stef graduated from the University of Maryland College Park and has her 90-hour preschool, infant, and toddler certification in Child Development and Curriculum. Teaching music is Ms. Stef's passion, as well as her career. She has been teaching preschool music and movement in Washington DC area preschools since 2005. She also teaches piano, guitar, and voice lessons in her home studio. Ms. Stef has four children and enjoys playing music, reading, gardening, and getting together with friends. She believes that music is accessible to all and that everyone can benefit from listening to, playing, and a deeper understanding of music and musical concepts. From Beethoven to the Beatles, Coltrane to the Clash, Ms. Stef incorporates all types of music into her teaching to spark creativity and joy in the musical classroom. She is very excited to share her love of music with the Goddard Rockville community!

Mr. David is our Physical Education Teacher here at The Goddard School. David is a certified and licensed Coach by the U.S Soccer Federation, with a true passion for sports. He is enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge and love of the sports with others. Since 2016, his company, High Score Soccer, has been serving children from toddlers to teenagers, through their development programs and services, to help students develop and grow in a healthy environment by encouraging students to practice sports as part of a well-rounded life.  Our Physical Education Program emphasizes fun clinics, and support learning and play through dynamic activity, oriented to: Demonstrate traveling skills; balancing skills and gross-motor manipulative skills encouraging participant’s enthusiasm and enjoyment.

Ms. Wei Xue is our Chinese Enrichment teacher at The Goddard School. She was born and raised in China and graduated from Xinjiang University in 1994, and taught middle school students for more than 20 years. Wei immigrated to the United States in 2013, and has been teaching Chinese to children ever since. She has taught at multiple Chinese Schools. Wei loves teaching Chinese and enjoys the process and watching them get more and more fluent at Chinese until one day they hopefully become a fluent speaker! She wishes to encourage her students to enjoy exploring the Chinese language and culture.

Ms. Yaudith is our Spanish Enrichment Teacher. Our Spanish program exposes children to the Hispanic culture and introduces children to simple words and phrases in Spanish. Ms. Yaudith is the mother of two children and has been teaching for the past 14 years. Ms. Yaudith wishes to model patience and understand in each of her students.

Ms. Ramona is our head cook here at The Goddard School. Ramona has spent the last 15 years in food service and earned her food handler certification. We thank Ms. Ramona for providing us with our daily nutritious snacks!

Ms. Joyce is a teacher in our Infant Program. Ms. Joyce has been teaching at Goddard Rockville since we first opened our doors in 2003! Ms. Joyce received her 90-hour Early Childhood Certification, and 45-hour Infant/Toddler Certification.

Ms. Jen is a teacher in our preschool program. Jen has been teaching at Goddard Rockville since 2008. She has her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Master of Arts in Education Management and 90-hour Early Childhood Certification.

Ms. Eunice is a teacher in our twos/preschool program. Eunice has her 90-clock hour certification and 45-hour certification in Early Childhood Education. Eunice has been teaching at Goddard Rockville since 2017.

Ms. Milenie is a teacher in our twos program. She has been teaching at Goddard Rockville since 2016. and earned her bachelor's degree in mass communication and 90-hour certification in early childhood.

Ms. Angelica is a teacher in our infant program. She has been with Goddard Rockville since 2021 and has a three-year-old son who also attends Goddard.

Mr. Juan is a teacher in our kindergarten program. Juan earned his associates degree in general studies and is currently pursuing his B.A in Psychology. Mr. Juan wishes to model patience, understanding and empathy in his students.

Ms. Andrea is a teacher in our preschool program. Ms. Andrea earned her B.A in Fine Arts and has been teaching at Goddard Rockville since 2021.

Ms. Fatima is a teacher in our infant program. She is currently pursuing her CDA and has taught education for the past four years.

Ms. Sarbeth is our afternoon part time teacher in the infant program. She is currently pursuing a degree in ASL.

Ms. Mya is a teacher in our two-year-old program. She has been in the early childhood education field since 2021 and earned her 90-hour certification.

Ms. Elizabeth (Liz) is a teacher in our toddler program. She has been in the early childhood education field since 2019. She earned my associate degree in general studies and infant and toddler certification through MSDE. Ms. Liz is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in communication studies as well as her CDA.

Ms. Siby is a teacher in our infant program. She has been teaching in the early childhood education field since 2019 and earned her 90-hour certifications; with a focus in infant and toddler development.

Ms. Nayereh (Simin) is a teacher in our toddler program. She has been in the educational field for over 20 years and earned her 90-hour infant & toddler certifications.

Awat is a teacher in our infant program. She has been teaching for several years and obtained her infant & toddler certification.

Ms. Jacky is a teacher in our toddler/twos program. She is currently pursuing her degree and has been in the early childhood field since 2023.

Mr. Kenneth (Kenny) is a teacher in our Bridge program. Kenneth has been teaching at Goddard Rockville since 2021.

Ms. Mitra is a teacher in our two-year-old program. Ms. Mitra has been working in the early childhood since 2017. She is currently pursuing her degree in Psychology.

Ms. Adrianna is a teacher in our pre-k program. She has been in the early childhood field since 2012 and obtained her 90-hour certifications.

Ms. Fern is a current MCPS teacher who teaches at our school full time each summer. She has been in the early childhood field since 2013 and earned her degree in Early Child Development and Secondary education in Mathematics.

Ms. Aseel is a teacher in our toddler program. She has been in the educational field for the past three years and has earned her bachelor's degree. Ms. Aseel currently holds her 90-hour infant & toddler certification.

Ms. Lesly is a teacher in our toddler/twos program. She has been in the early childhood field since 2017 and earned her 90-hour preschool certifications.

Ms. Jounia is a teacher in our Bridge program. She has been in the Early Childhood profession for 27 years both locally and internationally. Jounia earned her Montessori Certificate and an Associate in Early Childhood Development.

Ms. Sarai is a teacher in our two-year-old program. Ms. Sarai has over ten years teaching experience in the early childhood educational field. She obtained her 90-hour certification in addition to her CDA.

Ms. Karen is a teacher in our pre-k program. She earned her bachelor's in education and psychology and has been in the early child educational field for the past ten years.

Ms. Erica is a teacher in our preschool program. She has been in the early childhood field since 2021 and received her 90-hour certifications, with a focus on preschool development.

Ms. Chiquanda is a teacher in our toddler program. She has been in the early childhood field for over five years and earned her CDA, with a focus in infant and toddler development.

Ms. Ashely is a teacher in our pre-k program. She earned her degree in communications and design from American University and is currently pursuing her Masters in education. Ashley spent the last four years teaching first grade in Washington, D.C.

Ms. Navy is a teacher in our accelerated pre-k/kindergarten program. She has been in the education field since 2019, teaching in public schools. She earned her degree in Child and Adolescent Studies.

Ms. Jasmine is a teacher in our preschool program. She has been in the early childhood field for the past eleven years and obtained her associate's degree in early childhood education. She is currently pursuing her Bachler's degree.

Ms. Sabrina is our afternoon part-time teacher, primarily supporting our school in the infant and toddler programs.

Ms. Jay is a teacher in our twos program. She has been an early childhood educator since 1998. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and teaches adults English as a Second Language.

Ms. Danielle is a teacher in our preschool program. She earned her bachelor's degree in mass communications and journalism from Salisbury University.

Ms. Wan is a teacher in our toddler program. She graduated from Bejing International Studies University with a bachelor's degree in art and has been in the educational field since 2023.

Ms. Daniella is a teacher in our bridge program. She is currently in school studying law.
