    Miss Yang

    Owner
    Yang Shu is the onsite owner of The Goddard School in Lexington, MA. Yang dreamed of opening a preschool for nearly a decade. When their two-year-old daughter, Nicole, was born, she and her husband, Shuo, were even more determined to find a way to fulfill their dream and give back to the community. Before opening the preschool, Yang worked in the United Arab Emirates as an assistant manager for a construction machinery company, and in Kenya for a tour and travel agency. Because of her experiences working in different countries and opening a preschool in a culturally diverse area, Yang said she wants her students to share their cultures with one another and wants to share her worldly experiences through multi-cultural programs at the Goddard School of Lexington.

    Director
    Miss Jenny is Early Education and Care certified to work with all ages,. She has been working in childcare since 2011 and is the Director here at the Goddard School. With her degree in Early Childhood Education, she works towards continuing her growth and learning as an educator, as this is an ever-changing field. She loves working with young children because it gives her the chance to see their spark of curiosity as they explore their world. As well as working with the children Miss. Jenny also enjoys partnering with parents to work in the best interest of each child. As the Director, she strives to assist each teacher in the growth and development of their own teaching styles.

    Miss Brittany

    Assistant Director
    Miss Brittany joined the Goddard Family in 2022 and has worked with children from the ages of 6 weeks - 14 Years since 2010. Brittany has her Bachelors in Health Science and is Early Education Certified in all ages. Brittany continues to take classes and further her education and is the Assistant Director here at the Goddard School. She loves to watch children learn and grow as they hit their important milestones. During the evenings and weekends Brittany enjoys teaching dance to elementary and middle schoolers. As the Assistant Director, she works hard to build relationships with children and their families as well as the staff members to best support them here at the Goddard School.

    Miss Karin

    Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Infant Teacher
    Miss Karin is the lead teacher in the infant program. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education from Keuka College. Karin has been in the field of early childhood education since 1993. When she is not working she loves spending time with her family and going to her beach house in New Jersey. She has worked with children of all ages from the little ones to the big ones. Her passion is creating a warm and nurturing environment where our youngest children can thrive and grow. Her favorite children’s books are “Owl Babies” and “The Big Red Barn.”

    The Rainbow Fish Infant Teacher
    Miss Vicky joined the Goddard School in 2021 as part of the Minuteman Co-Op program. She assists each classroom in their specific developmental and educational needs. While helping in the classroom she is hands on with all of the children, encouraging them to engage in the many different activities as well as assisting the teacher in preparing the activities each day. She has grown so much since starting with our school and we look forward to seeing how she develops as a teacher over time.

    Harold and the Purple Crayon Toddler Teacher
    Miss Dionne joined our Goddard Family September of 2022. She has taken on a roll as a main teacher in one of our Toddler classrooms and helps create a curriculum for her children to grow and thrive in. When she is not teaching, she enjoys crafting and traveling. She loves teaching because she gets the opportunity to watch her children learn and grow. She enjoys partnering with the parents to work in the best interest of each child in her care.

    Harold and the Purple Crayon Toddler Teacher
    Miss Sarah has been working with children since 2018. During her career, she has worked with children who were six weeks to 5 years old. Sarah has an associate's degree in Early Education and Care and a Bachelors Degree of Science in Education. Her hobbies are listening to music and getting her nails done.

    Center Support Teacher
    Miss Courtney has started with the center as part of the Minuteman Vocational Co-op Program in December 2021! She has primarily worked with our toddler program but has experience helping support every age group. During her time, she has helped our toddler program work on learning in each developmental area. Courtney will help prepare, implement, and guide the children through every planned activity.

    Center Support Teacher
    Miss Lori is Early Education and Care certified in infants - Preschool. She has been in the field of education since 1998. When she is not teaching, her hobbies include collecting sea glass on the beach, shopping and spending time with her family. Lori loves teaching because she loves seeing the joy of children's faces when they discover something new. Lori feels children deserve an environment where they can thrive through play, imagination and gentle guidance.

    Dragons Love Tacos Preschool Teacher
    Miss. Michelle attends Simmons University and is currently pursuing the a degree in Social Work. She is certified in teaching Infants and Toddlers. She enjoys working with children because she loves to see their milestones. Michelle has a passion for teaching infants and toddlers and enjoys watching them grow and develop. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, making, working out and painting.

    Barnyard Dance Preschool Teacher
    Miss Isabelle started with The Goddard School in July 2021! She started as a center support and has found comfort in working with one of our toddler classrooms. She helps build and implement a purposeful curriculum for her age group and guides the children through each activity. Isabelle is a fun and caring teacher who enjoys watching her toddlers learn and discover new things every day.

    The Kissing Hand PreK Teacher
    Miss. Autumn has been working with children since 2018 and started her career with the Goddard School of Lexington when she was part of the intern program through the Minuteman Vocational Co-Op Program. She has since become certified to teach Infants through Prek. When Autumn is not teaching she enjoys singing in her church choir, learning Mandarin, and hiking!

    Miss Brooke

    Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Preschool Teacher
    Miss. Brooke attended Boston University and graduated with a Masters of Science in Child Life and Family Centered Care. She has been working with children and families since 2017 as a Developmental Specialist and has shifted to being a full time Preschool Teacher starting in 2022. She enjoys incorporating reading into the classroom and feels that children deserve an environment where they can thrive through play, imagination, and gentle guidance.

    The Very Hungry Caterpillar Toddler Teacher
    Mr. Brian has been working in childcare since 1999. He is currently a student at Southern New Hampshire University, and is working towards his Bachelor's in Human Services. When he is not teaching Brian loves spending his time volunteering at an animal shelter and collecting comic books. Brian loves helping the children learn and explore through play and bringing nature into the classroom. His favorite children's book is "If you Give a Moose a Muffin."

    Where the Wild Things Are Pre K Teacher
    Mr. Jacob is Early Education and Care certified to work with Infants, Toddlers, and Preschoolers. Combined he has two years experience working amongst these age groups, and he’s enjoyed all of them. Jacob speaks English and knows a little bit of Spanish. When he is not teaching he enjoys video and board games, playing piano, and playing with his cat Neko! Jacob loves teaching because every day he gets to share learning experiences with his students and see how they uniquely approach new situations. He aims to form partnerships with parents to best be able to teach and care for each child.

    Miss Nicole has been working with children since 2019 and is looking to further her education and become certified in the field. She enjoys using her creative side to engage in all different art projects in her class. Nicole loves working with children because every day is a new adventure to help them grow and learn. She also has PharmD from MCPHS University and is a registered pharmacist. When she is not working she can usually be found reading or crafting with her husband and cat.

    Miss Bella joined the Goddard School in May of 2022 as part of the Waltham Partnership for Youth Program. During her time in our school, she has assisted each classroom in their daily needs and engaged with the children at age appropriate levels. Bella is a kind and caring teacher who enjoys helping each classroom in any way she can.

    Miss Mallika Joined the Goddard School in July of 2022. With her Bachelors in Art and experience with the Early Education Field, she helps create and implement a well structured curriculum for the Infant classroom. Her calm and happy demeanor helps make the children and families feel at ease while they are in her care.

    Miss Emma has been working with The Goddard School in part of the Minuteman Vocational Program. She has experience working with Infants through PreK and has started to learn how to build an effective curriculum. Emma has a bright and fun personality that creates a wonderful learning environment for children of all ages.

    Miss Mattie joined the Goddard School in August of 2021. Since she joined our school, she has been a wonderful support system for every classroom. While in the classroom she assists the teachers in implementing curriculum and guiding the children to meet their developmental goals. Her care and compassion for the children shows through each and every day.

    Mr. Brendan has worked with Toddlers and Preschoolers during his time working with children. He joined the Early Childhood Education Field in 2015. When he is not teaching, his hobbies include Hiking and watching movies. Brendan loves teaching because his own teachers inspired him greatly. He enjoys partnering with parents to work in the best interest of each child.

    Miss. Ella attends Coastal Carolina University and is pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. Her hobbies include cooking, reading, and playing board games with family and friends. She enjoys working with children because they never fail to make her smile. That simple joy makes Ella excited to start her own family in the future. Ella has a passion for working with children of all ages and is confident in her growth as a support teacher.

    Miss. Faith attends Keene State College and is pursuing a degree in Dance. Her hobbies include dancing, working out, and going for walks. She enjoys working with children because she wants to help make their days better. Faith has a passion for education and to grow and develop as a support teacher.

    Miss Meg currently attends Framingham State University and is pursuing a degree in Elementary Education She enjoys working with children because everything is a new experience for them and she enjoys watching their minds adapt to new ideas. Meg has a passion for helping students who have learning disabilities grow and develop as a support teacher. We are excited to have Miss Meg as a part of our team!

    Miss Camden recently graduated Eastern Connecticut State University with a degree in general psychology and plans on going to graduate school to obtain her degree in Early Childhood Education. Camden loves to incorporate hands-on activities in the classroom anyway she can and create a fun and exciting learning environment for all children in her care. When not teaching, she enjoys walking around Target and hanging out with her cat, Bean!

    Miss. Kenia joined the Goddard School in September of 2023 where she quickly settled into our Toddler Program. She attended Intercontinental University and received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Her kind and caring personality helps to develop a warm and loving learning environment for her children to grow in. Kenia's gentle approach allows the children to feel safe and secure while in her care. As she implements a well-rounded curriculum, she assists children in exploring their environment and reaching their developmental milestones.

    Miss. Juana joined the Goddard School in July of 2023. Juana assists in our Toddler-Preschool age group where she supports the developmental growth of all the children in her care. She assists in creating and implementing a well-rounded curriculum to meet the developmental needs of each child and supports their independent growth through her kind and caring engagements. As Juana is working on furthering her education in the Early Childhood Education field, she will continue to create a warm and welcoming environment for her children to grow and thrive in.

Bridget loves being a part of building confidence and security in the development of children. She helps to create a warm and loving learnings environment for each child to grow and thrive.

    Miss. Reynolds has her Masters in Early Childhood Education and Bachelor in Science in Early Education. She has 8 years of experience working with young children in the Early Childhood Education Field as well as being a Kindergarten Teacher. Miss. Reynolds loves teaching because every day she can make a difference in a child's life. She enjoys partnering with parents to work in the best interest of each child and help them succeed in all developmental areas.

Along with working alongside his co-teacher to implement a well rounded curriculum, he works closely with the parents to ensure that each child is meeting their very important milestones and have the proper amount of support and attention through their development. Eliseo is working towards furthering his career within the Early Childhood Education Field to obtain certifications and continue to make a healthy learning environment for his children.

    Miss Aurora started her childcare career in 2020. She enjoys creating engaging activities for her class and likes to incorporate environmental-based learning. She thinks it’s important to support each child’s social and emotional well-being too. She wants to further her education and earn a master's in early education. When she is not working she loves to go for walks on the beach, visit friends, and try new recipes! Miss Aurora loves working with children because of their optimism.

    Miss. Bella attends Minuteman Regional Highschool and is part of the Early Childhood Education program. During her time in the program, she has had the opportunity to gain experience working with children ages 6 weeks old to 5 years old. Bella's goal is to help children learn and grow in an environment where they are free to be themselves and explore their world at their own pace.

    Miss. Mackenzie attends Minuteman High School and is pursuing a certification in the Early Childhood Education Program. Her hobbies include Reading, Arts & Crafts, swimming, writing, and babysitting. She enjoys working with children because she loves to watch them learn new things. Mackenzie has a passion for creating a safe and nurturing environment in order to help the children grow, learn, and develop in positive ways!

    Miss. Zinnat graduated from the University of Dhaka with her Masters in Science, Food, and Nutrition. She joined the Goddard School in 2023 as a center support teacher. Zinnat engages with many different age groups and encourages them to happily engage in activities and create positive relationships with peers.
