Our Goddard School Teachers

I am thrilled to be the on-site owner for The Goddard School of Overland Park at Stonepost! The primary years of education are pivotal in a child’s life to set them up for success, and that is why I feel so strongly about Goddard’s philosophy. My goal is to be a community leader in early childhood education nurturing the whole-child to be life-long learners. The partnership between parents and educators creates the optimal environment for healthy, safe, and happy little learners! I am honored to take this journey with you with my commitment to giving every child the gift of individualized learning, social-emotional growth, and foundational strength for future success.

Ms. Katherine has been a valued member of our Goddard team for 4 years and brings years of experience working with children. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science with double minors in Pre-Health Professions and Nutrition, Health, and Wellness. Ms. Katherine currently works with our 4–5-year-olds in our Pre-K classroom, where she encourages creativity, independence, and a love of learning. In her free time, she enjoys reading, painting, and going to the movies. In college, Ms. Katherine was a tennis star! Her favorite part of working with children is watching their creativity blossom and seeing them grow into independent learners. She especially loves celebrating their accomplishments, whether it’s a proud moment in their work, artwork, or projects.

With over four years of experience in early childhood education, Ms. Sumbal leads our mobile infants classroom Wallabies, with care and expertise. She supports children through important milestones such as learning to walk and talk, creating a safe and encouraging environment. Her strong communication skills shine as she provides parents with detailed daily updates, helping them stay connected to their child’s growth. Ms. Sumbal's dedication and nurturing approach make her a valued member of our team.

Ms. Rumpa has been a valued member of our Goddard team since 2024 and brings over 7 years of experience working with children. She currently works with our infants, providing a nurturing and supportive environment where little ones feel safe, loved, and encouraged to explore. As a mom of three children, ages 17, 14, and 7, Ms. Rumpa brings both personal and professional insight into early childhood development. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and watching movies. Ms. Rumpa can speak three languages! Her favorite part of working with children is seeing them learn, grow, and reach new milestones every day.

You will often find Miss Rasha on the floor interacting with some of our smallest students at Goddard. She prioritizes each child in her care delicately, with great intention to make sure all needs are met, and students are engaged in learning with their peers.

Ms. Shilpa has been a valued member of our Goddard team since 2025. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and brings a thoughtful and caring approach to her work with young children. She currently works with our two-year-olds, creating a nurturing and engaging environment where curiosity is encouraged every day. As a parent of two children, ages 5 years and 1.5 years, Ms. Shilpa brings both personal and professional insight into early childhood development. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, which reflects her creative side. Her favorite part of working with children is seeing their natural curiosity and their eagerness to learn about the world around them.

Ms. Najlah has been a valued member of our Goddard team since 2026 and brings over 3 years of experience working in childcare. She holds a General Associate’s Degree and works with our three-year-olds, where she creates a fun and engaging environment that supports learning and development. In her free time, Ms. Najlah enjoys dancing and cooking. A fun fact about her is that she can speak Somali! Her favorite part of working with children is watching them learn new skills and grow in confidence each day.
