Our Teachers

Sloan Armstrong is the Owner of The Goddard School and acted on-site from the opening in 2010 until 2015. During that time, the school earned Goddard Systems Circle of Excellence award for highest levels within the system for educational excellence, operations and still possesses the record for largest opening in Goddard Systems 30+ year history. She also credits that accomplishment to her Director at the time, who was awarded Director of the Year within the system. After stepping away from day-to-day operations in 2015, to have two beautiful babies, she returned in 2019 with a new team and is very excited to be back. Sloan also owns The Goddard School of Aurora, which is also a Circle of Excellence school. She has two young children who attend the program and has been described as "having an extraordinary amount of passion for quality". She is a native of Colorado and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music and Business from The University of Denver.

Ms. Abby is the Director of Education. She was born and raised in Tipton, Indiana and moved to Colorado in 2016. Ms. Abby has previously taught as the Lead Teacher in the Happy Hippos, Junior Kindergarten Classroom since 2016. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Educational Studies and a minor in Business from Manchester University in North Manchester Indiana. She has experience working with a variety of age groups, from elementary age to younger preschool students. Her organizational skills and knowledge of Goddard health and safety rules makes her an excellent resource to all students and teachers at The Goddard School. We are happy to have her as part of our team since 2016!

Ms. Lyndsey is our Director of Operations. She previously taught Pre-k and has experience working with elementary aged students since 2017. She graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 2020 with a degree in Interdisciplinary studies emphasizing on education and reading. She moved to Colorado with her husband in 2022. Ms. Lyndsey is passionate about classrooms using students' learning differences, diverse cultures, and communities to produce an inclusive learning environment. She believes in creating an atmosphere that is positive and supportive for students and teachers. Since February 2023, Ms. Lyndsey’s ambition has made her the perfect fit for our Goddard team.

Ms. Amanda is a teacher in our Assistant Director . She has earned her bachelor's degree at Community College of Aurora where she studied early childhood education. She also has earned the highest level on Colorado's professional development system. She has worked in childcare for almost five years and adores working with early childhood children. She enjoys watching her students' unique personalities develop each day. Ms. Amanda's calm and friendly personality makes her a great addition to our Goddard team!

Ms. Jasmine is our office administrator. She has experience teaching Pre-k since 2020. She moved to Colorado in 2021 excited to be closer to the mountains. Ms. Jasmine's favorite thing about teaching children is helping them grow into their individual self. She believes in is letting children express themselves and allowing them to be unique. Ms. Jasmine’s positive attitude and passion makes her the perfect fit for our Goddard team!

Ms. Kelsey is our office administrator & our sign language instructor. She earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa where she also minored in American Sign Language. Ms. Kelsey began working with children in 1999 and over the years she has taught infants through ten year olds. She has gained experience writing lesson plans while using diverse curriculum with her students and her fun-loving nature in the classroom will serve her well on our Goddard team!

Ms. Theresa is a teacher in our Koala classroom. She has worked as a lead teacher with infants and toddlers for several years. Ms. Theresa has acquired her Early Childhood Teacher qualifications through Colorado's PDIS database and Pyramid Plus Approach course. She believes strongly that the most important thing a teacher can do is make children feel like they are heard, and to never make children feel like they are alone in this world. Ms. Theresa’s bubbly personality and positivity has been perfect addition to our Goddard team since March 2021!

Ms. Michele is a teacher in our Koala classroom. She has worked with children from infancy to 5 years of age for the past fifteen years. She has an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Community College of Denver. Ms. Michele enjoys teaching children manners while providing a fun learning experience. She loves watching them grow as they complete milestones, while in her care. Ms. Michele is a loving teacher, who really cares about the children she works with and has been an important addition to our Goddard team since July 2020!

Ms. Miriam is a teacher in our infant classroom. Ms. Miriam is working towards earning her ECT certification from Colorado's PDIS. She believes that the most important thing a teacher can do is create a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Ms. Miriam's sweet and caring personality makes her a great fit for our school & has been working with Goddard since March of 2024.

Ms. Nubia is a teacher in our Elephants classroom. She has cared for children in her family, since she was a young girl. She also has a young son of her own. Ms. Nubia earned a ECT Certificate through Colorado' PDIS course database. Ms. Nubia believes that with patience, persistence and creativity, all children can learn through play, even though they may not realize they are doing so. Ms. Nubia’s bubbly personality and positivity make her a perfect addition to our Goddard team since January 2023!

Ms. Alejandra is a teacher in our Elephants classroom. She has been working at The Goddard since May of 2023. Ms. Alejandra has her certificate in Early Childhood Education from Pickens Technical College. She has worked with young toddlers since 2019. Ever since she could remember she has always loved taking care of children. She became very interested when she started taking ECE courses. Ms. Alejandra’s patience and kindness makes her the perfect addition to our Goddard team since March 2023!

Ms. Maria is a teacher in the Magical Monkeys classroom. She has completed her certification in Early Childhood Development. Ms. Maria believes that a child’s safety is a priority while they are learning and having fun. Her joyful attitude, patience and nurturing demeanor, make her a favorite among the children and families. She has a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new things. Ms. Maria has been an absolute joy to have as part of our Goddard team since April 2017!

Ms. Genesis is a teacher in the Magical Monkeys classroom. She has spent many years caring for children in her family, since she was a young girl. Ms. Genesis has expanded her knowledge about how children develop and learn, since starting with us. She has started to work on her ECT certification through Colorado's PDIS database. She believes caretakers should take the responsibility of children very seriously, as we shape children's developing brains. Her calm demeanor and nurturing personality makes her the perfect fit for our Goddard team since January 2023!

Ms. Joy is a teacher in the Fabulous Frog classroom. She worked as a preschool teacher at a preschool for 2 years, in Alabama. Ms. Joy has a bachelors degree in Art from Alabama State University. She enjoys watching kids learn and grow. She is passionate about working with children, to make sure they are learning as an individual and as a student. Ms. Joy's sweet and caring personality made her a wonderful addition to our Goddard team since 2022!

Ms. Alexis is a teacher in our Frogs classroom. She has earned her Early Childhood Teacher qualifications from Colorado's PDIS database and Pyramid Plus Approach course. Ms. Alexis believes that every child is unique in their own way, and it is important to make every child feel included. Ms. Alexis has a caring personality and that is why she is a perfect fit for our Goddard team, since April 2022!

Ms. Jordan is a teacher in our Panda classroom. She currently has an Early Childhood Certification, from Colorado's Early Childhood Council, in addition to her 7 years of professional childcare experience. Ms. Jordan was a swimming instructor for 6 years, where she taught toddlers through 5th graders how to swim. Ms. Jordan fell in love with teaching in a classroom setting. She loves working with children and believes children should learn through hands on experiences. She has been an inspirational part of our Goddard team since 2019!

Ms. Maria is a teacher in our Panda classroom. She has worked with children from infancy to age 6 since 2008. She has a certification for Child Developmental Associate for Infants and Toddlers. Maria believes that children learn best through play and as teachers we need to support them in all areas. Since 2018, Maria's passion has made her a great part of our Goddard team!

Ms. Julia is a teacher in our Giraffes classroom. She has about 5 years of experience working with children ages infancy through teenage years. Ms. Julia grew up in Chicago, and moved to Colorado in the 2023. She is working towards her ECT credential. Ms. Julia believes that children learn through experience, and is passionate about the teaching the children of our future. She has been a staple to our preschool classroom since July of 2023.

Ms. Grace is a teacher in our Giraffes classroom. She has earned her ECT certification from Colorado's PDIS. She believes that children are kind, caring individuals who deserve love and respect. She believes promoting support to her students by listening to their communication. Ms. Grace’s calm and caring personality makes her a perfect fit for our preschool classroom. Ms. Grace has been working with Goddard since October of 2024.

Ms. Peggy is a teacher in the Jungle Cats classroom. She is also our on-site Mandarin instructor. She does lessons school wide with all of our students ages 2 and older. She attended Hong Kong Polytechnic University and then the Front Range Community College for Early Childhood Education. She has worked with children since 2004 and loves to encourage children to learn new things and never give up. Ms. Peggy’s experience has made her a strong teacher within our Goddard family since January 2012.

Ms. Gisel is a teacher in our Jungle Cats classroom. She received a Childhood Developmental Associate Certificate. Ms. Gisel strongly believes that each child has individual strengths and talents, and it is important to recognize them. It's important to never give up on children. Ms. Gisel has been a wonderful part of our Goddard team since December 2020.

Ms. Carmela is a teacher in our Rhinos classroom. She joined The Goddard School, August 2023. Ms. Carmela has her certificate in Early Childhood Education from the University of Colorado. Ms. Carmela believes in individualizing lessons to meet each Childs needs. Her soft and friendly personality makes her a great addition to the Rhinos classroom. We are excited to have Ms. Carmela be part of The Goddard School.

Ms. Jamaria is a teacher in our Rhinos classroom. She recently moved to Colorado from Minnesota. While living in Minnesota, she started working in child care. Since 2020 she has worked with infants, young toddlers, and students in Pre-K. Ms. Jam has acquired her qualifications in early childhood education through the Colorado's PDIS system. Ms. Jam strongly believes in being the best teacher to her students because they are our future. Ms. Jam's patience and creativity makes her the perfect fit for our school and the Rhino classroom! Ms. Jam joined our team in June 2023.

Ms. Victoria is a teacher in our Hippos classroom. Ms. Victoria is working to earned her ECT certification from Colorado's PDIS. She has experience working as swim instructor for infants and is new to the ECE field. Ms. Victoria strives to learn and grow. She wants to listen and help the individual student. Her passion and ambitious personality makes her a great fit for our Goddard team!

Mr. Chad is our drum instructor. He has volunteered at The Goddard since 2009. Mr. Chad has dedicated himself to helping students learn how to rock regardless of skill level or life challenges. For nearly 30 years, he has performed with a multitude of local, national, and international touring acts, recorded a number of albums of his own as well as those of his musical brethren, and improved the lives of future rockers with private and group lessons. He takes great pride in his work. Mr. Chad's passionate personality makes him a great fit here at The Goddard.

Ms. Jadyn is a support teacher in all classrooms. She joined The Goddard School June 2022. She has volunteered at church for 2 years caring kids in the children ministry. She is attending Metropolitan State University for Nursing. Ms. Jadyn believes that it is important to have kindness and patience when working with children. Caring for children provides adults with a better understanding of children. Ms. Jadyn’s kindness makes her the perfect fit for our school!

Ms. Shanise is a teacher in all classrooms. Ms. Shanise is working to earn her ECT certification from Colorado's PDIS. She believes that the most important thing a teacher can do is be patient and have understanding. She believes that focusing on the specific needs of each child is vital. Ms. Shanises' warm and kind personality makes her a great fit for our school. Ms. Shanise has been working with Goddard since September of 2023.

Ms. Stephanie is a teacher in all classrooms. Ms. Stephanie has earned her ECT certification from Colorado's PDIS. She believes that the most important thing a teacher can do is be loving, caring, and listen. Ms. Stephanie's' sweet and gentle personality makes her a great fit for our school. Ms. Stephanie has been working with Goddard since March of 2024.

Ms. Lexi is a teacher in all classrooms. Ms. Lexi has earned her ECT certification from Colorado's PDIS. Ms. Lexi has 3 years of experience in the child care field and is continuing her education at MSU Denver. She admires children's curiosity and creativity. Ms. Lexi's calm and caring nature makes her a wonderful addition to our Goddard team!

Ms. Hailey is a teacher in all classroom. She graduated from Denver School of Innovation and Sustainable Design. She has also took childhood development classes in high school and has volunteered in elementary schools. Teaching children new things through hands-on experiences brings Ms. Hailey joy in her everyday work. We are so lucky to have Ms. Hailey's outgoing spirit as part of our Goddard team since August 2021.

Ms. Kennedy is a teacher in all classrooms. She is new to the ECE field, however is excited to learn and grow. Ms. Kennedy . Ms. Lauren admires children's love for school and openness to learn. Ms. Kennedy's fun and loving personality makes her a perfect fit for our Goddard team!

Ms. Nico is a teacher in all classrooms. Ms. Nico has earned their Associates Degree from Pensacola State College and recently moved to Colorado. They are working to earn their ECT certification from Colorado's PDIS. They desire to show patience and compassion to their students. Ms. Nico strives to provide a fun and safe space in the classroom. Their kind nature and caring personality makes them a great fit for our Goddard team!

Ms. Lauren is a teacher in all classrooms. Ms. Lauren is working to earned her ECT certification from Colorado's PDIS. She has recently moved to Colorado from Texas and is new to the ECE field. Ms. Lauren strives to learn and grow. She wants to teach and help the students feel comfortable at school. Ms. Lauren admires children's curiosity and creativity. Her kind nature and caring personality makes her a great fit for our Goddard team!
