Elizabeth & Martin
Onsite OwnersThe Meiers love watching the children at their school smile, laugh, grow and learn. Elizabeth and Martin discovered the value of a safe and nurturing learning environment through their own children's experience at The Goddard School. They bring their business backgrounds as a corporate lawyer and IT project manager, respectively, to support the faculty at City Park West. -
Heather
DirectorHeather is our Curriculum Director. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies and English. Additionally, she has her Master's Degree in Elementary Education along with her Teaching Certification for K-6. Heather also has her Director's Certificate for Early Childhood Education. She loves teaching all children, but especially younger children because of their sweetness and eagerness to learn. Heather looks forward to the smiles and milestones from the children each day and is excited to make the Goddard School at City Park West the best that it can be! In her free time, Heather loves to play board games, read, and make crafts that she takes to craft fairs on the weekends. -
Charlene
DirectorChar is a native of Denver, Colorado and has two amazing children, Sir Devon and Trinity, who are the joy of her life. Char began her journey teaching in the Early Childhood Education field in 1989. She earned her Degree in Early Childhood Education and holds her Director’s Certification for Early Childhood Education through the Colorado Department of Education. Char joined the City Park Goddard family in August of 2014, as the Infant Supervisor and has grown to love each member of the school as a vital part of this amazing body of awesome teachers. In January 2017, Char joined the administrative team as Assistant Director and in January 2018 was promoted to Co-Director. She is always ready to expand her journey with great expectations. Char’s heartfelt desire is to build strong relationships with our students, families and communities to make a difference in the lives of our future. -
Christie
DirectorChristie is newer to our school but has been with Goddard for nearly a decade. She was the director of another Goddard School for the past five years. She has helped open two local schools and prior to becoming a director, she was also an infant and toddler teacher. Christie has a bachelors degree in business management as well as Early Childhood Teaching and Directors certificates. Christie is excited to be part of the City Park West school where her two kids are able to attend the school as well. -
Melissa
Assistant DirectorMelissa has been in child care for over 10 years, 7 of those being with the Goddard School. She grew up in Wisconsin and moved to Colorado in June of 2023. Melissa grew up on watersports and basketball. She has a degree in administrative professionalism but has always enjoyed working with children. Melissa's grandparents, uncle and three aunts started their own child care business so she grew up in the industry. -
Adrienne
Lead TeacherAdrienne has been working with children for years and even owned her own in-home childcare in Iowa before she moved to Colorado. She loves to have fun with her students and see them learn. In her spare time, Adrienne enjoys riding her e-bike, cooking, watching her plants grow, and sewing/crocheting baby clothing. -
Ana
Lead TeacherAna was born in Mexico and raised in Denver since she was 2 years old. Eventually Ana would like to go back to school for phlebotomy or be a pediatrician. Ana loves working at Goddard because of this love for children. In her free time, Ana likes to eat good food, shop, and travel. -
Annalee
Lead TeacherAnnalee was born and raised in Montana and moved to Denver, Colorado in October of 2017. Annalee has always had a passion for working with children. She especially has a huge heart for watching infants and toddlers grow, learn, and explore new experiences. Annalee enjoys outdoor activities, traveling and musical events. She is excited to be a part of our great school. -
Breanna
Lead TeacherBre moved to Denver in November 2023 from San Diego, CA. She has worked with children for several years and also has educational background in early childhood. Bre loves working with children because she can support their learning and development while continuing to make a positive impact on their lives. Bre is also a big kid, so she loves playing and getting messy with the students she works with. In her free time, Bre likes to embroider, roller skate, and spend time with her animals and friends. Her favorite educational quote is from Loris Malaguzzi who said, "Our task is to help children communicate with the world using all their potential, strengths, and languages, and to overcome any obstacle presented by our culture." -
Arey'el
Lead TeacherArey'el was born and raised in Denver. In her free time, Arey'el likes to go skating, read, hangout with friends, and watch tv. She has had an internship working in childcare when she was in high school and babysits her 4 nephews often. Arey'el loves working with kids because they are great conversationalists. -
Damajahnee
Lead TeacherDae has an associates from the University of Arkansas in Interdisciplinary Studies and bachelors in Journalism from Texas Tech university. She ran D1 track at both universities and spends her free time doing a podcast that explains her journey to kids that may want to do competitive sports in college and coach track and field like she did. Dae is excited to be part of the Goddard team and decided to work with children because it has always been a passion of hers to teach and care for youth. -
Destiny
Lead TeacherDestiny is a loving and caring person and will do anything to help those who need anything. She is family oriented and loves spending time with them. She is out to chase her dreams while also living life to the fullest. Working with children has brought joy in her life and she hopes to be able to bring joy to everyone she meets. -
DeNajah
Lead TeacherLouise was born and raised in Denver. In her spare time, Louise likes to read and watch scary movies. Louise has had several years of experience working with children beginning with teaching in her teens and more recently directing a before and after school program and leading a summer bike camp. Louise loves working with children because she loves helping them grow and develop and feels that adults learn right alongside children. She loves that she gets to be part of the lives of children and families. -
Chelsa
lead teacherChelsa is very excited to work for the Goddard School at City Park West. Chelsa has been working with children for a very long time and enjoys seeing them learn and play. Her favorite thing is to see the light bulb go off for a child when they understand a new concept. In her free time, Chelsa loves to travel, kayak, and spend time with her nieces, nephews, friends, and husband. She also belongs to a public speaking club called Toastmasters that she has been a member of for 8 years. -
Estela
Lead TeacherEstela was born in Jalisco, Mexico and then moved to California when she was 14 years old. After getting married Estela moved back to Mexico where she worked at a private elementary school for 6 years. Aside from teaching, she also worked for evening programs supporting children further with their reading and writing skills. Estela believes that children have pure souls and will return the love that you give them. Estela loves to work with children and can’t see herself doing anything else. When she isn’t teaching, she enjoys spending her free time reading and doing arts and crafts. -
Jamariah
Lead TeacherJamariah most often goes by J. She was born and raised in Denver and has lived everywhere from Park Hill to Englewood. She loves teaching children and watching them learn. Her contribution to any classroom she's in is her calmness and a go with the flow attitude. -
Jasmine
Lead TeacherJasmine was born and raised in New York City. She moved to Denver 3 years ago and worked as a paraprofessional for 2 years. It was quite an adventure and She's learned so much. This is her first time working with preschool age children. It’s a new adventure for her! She looks forward to all she can learn from the kiddos. She has two cats who are her babies and mean the world to her. She looks forward to meeting and getting to know the students each school year. -
Jennifer
Lead TeacherJennifer was born in Oklahoma City, but was raised in Denver since the age of one. She eventually wants to own her own business in beauty and get her education for early childhood education. In addition to her love of working with children, Jennifer loves to travel, hike, and shop. -
Katrice
Lead TeacherKatrice was born in Leadville, CO and is one of 5 girls. She has lived in Denver since she was 1 year old. In her free time, Katrice likes to spend time with family, hike, walk her dog Reece, and spend time having fun with her daughter. Katrice loves to watch children learn and grow and to see their different personalities. She also loves being a child's safe place. -
Kiara
Lead TeacherKiara has lived in Colorado her whole life. She loves working with children and has worked with toddlers for more than a year at another school. She is currently going to college and is majoring in psychology. Eventually, Kiara wants to be a child therapist. In her free time, Kiara likes to spend time with her son watching movies and doing activities together. -
Lindsay
Lead TeacherMs. Lindsay has her Bachelor's Degree in History and her Masters in Early Childhood. Her experience working with children includes being a nanny for about ten years and working in several preschools. She volunteers with Destination Imagination, a program dedicated to teaching children how to think creatively and become innovators of the future. She also comes to The Goddard School with experience working in both infant, young toddler and Get Set classrooms. She can't wait to get to know you. -
Mahlet
Lead TeacherMahlet has lived in Denver for 10 years, but she was born in Ethiopia. She speaks both Amharic and English. Mahlet has worked with children at another childcare center and has joined our school because it is close to where she is attending college. Mahlet likes to work with children because they are so creative and fun to be around. She also likes being able to witness children's milestones and accomplishments. In her free time, Mahlet likes to read books, go to the gym, and occasionally go for runs. She has 3 brothers, is left-handed, and likes to clean but not to cook. -
Maria
Lead TeacherLupe is excited that she is a teacher at The Goddard School. Lupe believes that it’s the teacher’s duty to provide a safe, clean, and material rich environment for children to be creative in. She finds having a positive attitude and good communication with parents an important aspect of a child’s education. Lupe has two children of her own and enjoys taking walks with her family. Lupe also enjoys shopping and doing arts and crafts. -
Zarkia
Lead TeacherZarkia recently moved to Denver from Dallas, TX, but she is originally from Portsmouth, VA. She worked with children in Texas and is excited to be at the Goddard School to work with children again. Zarkia finds it very rewarding to be a teacher because she get's to experience her students' growth first hand. In her free time, Zarkia enjoys binge watching Netflix shows, going on hikes, and spending time with her fiance and her dog, Rocky.
