Our Goddard School Teachers

Wendy Somers is the owner and operator of The Goddard School in Newtown, PA. Her journey with Goddard began in 2000, when she enrolled her daughter in a Goddard School and experienced firsthand the impact of its nurturing, play-based learning environment. As both a devoted parent and an accomplished businesswoman with a deep passion for working with children, Wendy recognized the opportunity to bring her professional expertise and personal values together. In 2002, she became the proud owner of The Goddard School in Newtown, Pennsylvania. Driven by her strong belief in the Goddard philosophy and its commitment to the development of the whole child, she expanded her efforts and opened a second location in North Bellmore, NY, in 2021. Wendy remains dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education and is proud to inspire a lifelong love of learning in every child who walks through her doors.
