    Welcome, we are Paula and Bob Janmey, proud owners of the Goddard School in North Ridgeville. As parents ourselves, We recognize how important it is for families to have a safe and nurturing learning environment for their children. Our daughters attended a local Goddard School from the time they were infants through Pre-K. This experience inspired us to pursue the ownership of our own school several years later. Paula, who is at the school daily, received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Florida, and her Master of Science degree in Positive Organizational Development and Change from Case Western Reserve University. Paula enjoys reading, bicycling with the family and watching her daughters in their many extracurricular activities. Thank you for the opportunity to share this wonderful time in your family's life!

    Ms Sarah

    Director
    Ms. Sarah received her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with a Reading Endorsement from Ashland University in 2010. She is interested in continuing her education in the field of special education as well. Ms. Sarah has worked in a childcare setting since 2007. She began as a Pre K teacher here at Goddard, was promoted to Assistant Director in 2015 and then to Co-Director in 2018! She decided that she wanted to be an educator when she was in preschool. She also loves nature, camping, and walking in the Metroparks. She lives in North Ridgeville with her husband, son, daughter and cats. Ms. Sarah’s favorite book is A Balloon for Isabel, because it teaches about acceptance and overcoming differences.

    Ms Kayla

    Assistant Director
    Ms. Kayla comes to the Goddard School in North Ridgeville with five years' experience in childcare as a nanny and babysitter. She is currently enrolled at Liberty University. Ms. Kayla enjoys helping children learn and watching them grow. She loves the energy and fun children bring into each day. In her free time, Ms. Kayla volunteers with middle school students, spends time with her four dogs and her family. Ms. Kayla's favorite children's book is “Chicka Chicka, Boom Boom” by Bill Martin Jr. and "Green Eggs and Ham" by Dr. Seuss.

    Ms Morgan

    Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
    Ms. Morgan comes to the Goddard School with experience working with children and teaching in early childhood since 2003. Ms. Morgan received her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with a Reading Endorsement from Ashland University. She loves to watch each child reach his/her potential and grow confidence throughout the school year. Ms. Morgan lives with her husband and daughter in Elyria. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and going to the movies. Ms. Morgan's favorite children's book is "A Bad Case of Stripes" by David Shannon.

    Assistant Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
    Ms. Carrie has had the honor of working with children for over 10 years with the city of North Ridgeville and Shepherd of the Ridge. Carrie has been an assistant for classrooms ranging from ages 3 to 5. She has lived in North Ridgeville for 15 years with her husband and three sons, while enjoying physical fitness, reading, and the outdoors. Ms. Carrie's favorite children's book is "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein.

    Lead Preschool Teacher
    Ms. Heidi comes to the Goddard School in North Ridgeville with experience working with children and teaching preschool since 1992. Ms. Heidi received her Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Lorain County Community College. Ms. Heidi loves the excitement and energy children bring to the preschool classroom. Ms. Heidi lives in Avon with her husband and two sons. She enjoys cooking, camping, gardening and taking bike rides. Ms. Heidi's favorite children's book is "Goodnight Moon"

    Lead Preschool Teacher
    Ms Lauren comes to Goddard with a Bachelor’s Degree in Studio Art. She loves how creative and fun the Goddard’s environment is. Previously working as a lead teacher at a different center she is familiar with the busy and exciting pace of preschool learning. Lauren is moving to Elyria with her wife, Shelby, and three cats and threes snakes. In her free time Lauren loves to paint, read and cook new recipes. She can’t wait to get to know the children and their families of Goddard School!

    Ms Holly

    Lead Toddler Teacher
    Ms Holly has been working in childcare since 2018. She's going to school for Pre-k to 3rd grade at Lorain County Community College. She started her experience working with children by babysitting at Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and for family friends. She started off in childcare as a before and after school teacher, to a kindergarten teacher assistant, to a Pre-K 2 teacher. In her free time, she loves to volunteer at Toy for Tots!! She has volunteered there for 13 years. She also enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her boyfriend. Ms Holly's favorite books are "The Rainbow Fish" and "If you Give a Moose a Muffin! "
  • Ms Jenny

    Ms Jenny

    Lead Infant Teacher
    Ms. Jenny comes to the Goddard School in North Ridgeville after many years spent raising her own three children as well as providing care for children in her home ranging in ages from 10 weeks to five years old. Ms. Jenny received her Bachelors of Science degree in both Elementary Education and Secondary English Education from Bowling Green State University. Ms. Jenny loves to work with young children because of their enthusiasm for new experiences, and looks forward to working with a new group of children whom she hopes to inspire with her love of reading. Her favorite children’s book is "The Adventures of Max the Minnow" by William Boniface because of its encouraging message to be one’s best self
  • Ms Michelle

    Ms Michelle

    Assistant Toddler Teacher
    Ms. Michelle graduated from OFHS in 2023. This is her first time working in a childcare facility but has previous experience working with children at a local family fun park. She has been with The Goddard School of North Ridgeville since December of 2023. Her favorite part about working here is how amazing each staff member is, and how well everyone works as a team to keep each child happy, healthy, and heard. She currently lives in Olmsted Falls with her mother, father, brother, and various pets. In her free time, she enjoys art of many kinds and going on adventures! Ms. Michelle’s favorite books from her childhood are "The Run Away Bunny" and "A Parable About The King"
  • Ms Tiffany

    Ms Tiffany

    Assistant Infant Teacher
    Ms. Tiffany comes to the Goddard School with five years' experience working in early childhood. She is currently enrolled at Lorain County Community College. She wants to pursue a career with working with children in a pediatric office. She has been working with children since 2011. She loves to help children learn and watch them grow every day. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her son and her family. Ms. Tiffany's favorite book series is the "Little Critters" books by Mercer Mayer because she would always read them with her grandma when she was younger.

    Ms Tirsa

    Lead Infant Teacher
    Ms. Tirsa has her four year degree in Translation/Interpretation and a passion for kids. Tirsa has had experience in developing curriculum as well as carrying out existing ones. She has taught Kindergarten and loves bringing excitement to learning. She comes from El Salvador where she was born and raised and has resided here since 2018. Tirsa looks forward to working with the families and children at Goddard! Ms. Tirsa's favorite children's book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.
  • Ms Jordan

    Substitute
    Ms Jordan graduated from The University of Akron with a bachelor's degree in early childhood education in 2014. She joined another local Goddard school and held several different lead teacher roles before a temporary departure during which she obtained her reading endorsement. Preparing students for kindergarten is what she feels like she was meant to do and is am very excited to be a part of the Goddard family once again! Her favorite children's book is, Hooray for Diffendoofer Day! by Dr. Seuss. It is not a well known Dr. Seuss book but she absolutely loves it! This book teaches the readers the importance of being yourself and being able to think for yourself. Her favorite quote, in part, is, ...we've taught you that the Earth is round and red and white make pink. And something that matters even more we've taught you how to think!

    Lead Toddler Teacher
    Ms. Cherie comes to The Goddard School from a small childcare center that she worked at for three and a half years . She has her infant toddler CDA that she received in 2023. She is originally from Cleveland and now lives in Elyria since 2019. She is a mother of a ten year old daughter who is her main reason for being in child care. While working in child care she has discovered she loves working with toddlers! They are always so fun and creative. Ms Cherie's favorite thing about The Goddard School is how the curriculum is for all children no matter their age!

    Lead Toddler Teacher
    Ms. Nicole comes to the Goddard school with 6 years’ experience being an educator. She is currently enrolled at Western Governors University for a bachelor’s degree in education. Ms. Nicole loves doing crafts and being outdoors. She lives in Sheffield Lake with her fiancé and 1 year old daughter. Ms. Nicole’s favorite children’s book is “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle.
