    Owner: Meet your on-site owner of The Goddard School® in Brooklyn Park, Tina Joens. Tina has worked in the Early Childhood field for over 30 years. In 1988 she began her career in the military with her husband, where they were stationed in England. She has worked all over the country in Military Child Development Centers. Tina earned her Child Development Associate degree in 1991 at Boise State University. In 1996 Tina and family (daughter, Jordyn, husband David) moved from New Mexico back to Minnesota. Since that time she has worked in several corporate centers in the metro area and also managed her own home childcare program for 5 years. She looks forward to working with all the children, parents, and staff to provide the best education for the children at The Goddard School.

    Director
    Katie has been working with children since she could pick up a baby. She studied Art & Education at MSUM and has worked in child care programs across the United States. Katie has spent 17 years in retail leadership before transitioning back into child care and development. She is passionate about impacting the younger population and is very excited to work with you and your child. Having been a Goddard parent for 6 years before entering the Director role, Katie has a unique perspective in the growth of not only Goddard but your child as well.

    Ms. Kori attended Lake Superior Technical College for two years, completing her generals and studying Occupational Therapy before transferring to St. Cloud Technical College, where she received her A.A.S. degree in Child and Adult Care & Education in 2003. Kori has worked in a variety of Educational settings throughout her career, working with Early Ed up to High School age. She was a Toddler teacher and a Pre K teacher as well as a Safety Monitor at another Childcare center for over two years, before coming to the Goddard school in the Summer of 2006. Kori has worn many hats over the years, building experience working in all of the classrooms, as well as in the office. She left the Goddard school in 2013, but returned in 2016 when she was expecting her first child. Now that Kori has two little ones she knew that the Goddard School would provide exceptional care for her children and could not imagine bringing them anywhere else.

    Ms. Krystyna completed her student internship at the Goddard School during the Summer of 2017, while she was attending Hennepin Technical College. She received her diploma in Early Childhood Education and plans to continue her education in the future to obtain her Associates Degree. Krystyna has always loved taking care of children and could not have been more excited to begin working here at the Goddard School and to gain experience for her early childhood career.

    My name is Betty. I have been married for over 15 years to my wonderful husband Ben and we both have four kids. I have been working in childcare since 2020 and I very much enjoy working with children and exploring new things with them. I worked previously at 3Rs where my passion for kids grew even stronger. My hobbies include cooking, exercising and singing. I am happy to be part of the Goddard team. My goal is to give the children a friendly and safe environment to learn.

    Ms. Anitra has been in the teaching field since 2001. She attended Hennepin Technical College and received a degree in Child Development in 2002. Anitra's experience at Goddard started in the Infant Room in August 2010. It is her passion to take care of children and watch them learn and develop. Each new day is fascinating as she gets to know each child's own uniqueness.

    Hi I'm LaRissa Iron Moccasin. I am a 26 year old Native American woman enrolled with the Red Lake Nation, Eagle Clan. Some background about myself, I am a mother to two beautiful little girls, Aria and Aspen, I currently attend Minneapolis Community and Technical College in their Early Childhood Education (ECE) program to gain my Associates Degree in ECE, and last but not least I have worked in ECE since March 2018 just after becoming a mother. I quickly fell in love with working with children. One thing that keeps me in ECE is being able to build special relationships with the children and their families that cross my path. There is something SO special about watching children grow and meet milestones while smiling and having the best time. I simply love what I do.

    Ms.Halle has been working in childcare since 2018. She received a certificate in Dental Assisting in 2019. Halle also has an Associates of Arts degree from Anoka-Ramsey Community College. She is currently continuing her education at Bemidji State University to receive her Bachelors degree in administrative management with a minor in Human Resources! Halle loves working with older infants and Toddlers the most!

I'm currently enrolled in part time online school for Integrative Health. Other than working with kids, I also enjoy traveling and spending time with friends and family.

    Ms. Shelby was an intern a the Goddard School before she was hired in November of 2011. She always wanted to work with children ever since she was little and began her career in 2010 working as an assistant teacher in a small church preschool. Shelby attended Rasmussen College taking classes in Early Childhood Development and in her past 10 years at Goddard she has worn many hats from an Intern, a Toddler Teacher, to Kitchen Manager, while doing these jobs she gained invaluable experience working with children. She is excited to be back in the classroom full time with the 3 year old's.

    Ms. Mikayla is currently enrolled at Anoka Ramsey Community College and working on her nursing degree. Mikayla became teacher qualified in 2018 and has worked at daycare centers for the past 5 years in ages from Infants through School-Agers. Her favorite age/stage is the "New Toddler" time, because they are building their communication skills so rapidly and out growing their infant stage. The First Steppers make her smile each time they master a skill and show it off to the teachers!

    My name is Anna. I have been working with children for the past 8 years. I started working at Agape Early Childhood Developemental Center in 2015 as a Supervisor and realized that I enjoyed interacting with children in the classroom more than working in the office. I transitioned into the classroom and have been there ever since. I trained all the new teachers/aides, implemented the lesson plans and created the NAEYC operating procedure for the toddlers/preschoolers. I truly love being a teacher!

    Katie graduated from The University of Northwestern, St. Paul with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Katie also attended Bethel University to receive a certificate in Support Counseling. This education has been put to good use as she is a mother to four children and also uses the best of these skills at The Goddard School. Katie was inspired by the thought of her children being in school and her desire to be a leader to young children. She believes each child has a unique gift to give the world and they need lots of love and cuddles to nurture this gift.

    Ms. Patricia is a graduate from Rasmussen College and the recipient of a Certificate with Honors in Early Childhood education. She was placed on the Dean's list for Academic Achievement in 2020. She taught at Grove Town Basic School, the same school that she attended as a kindergarten student in Jamaica. She likes to play the guitar, sing and write music. Children need motivation to learn and achieve academic success and it is her intention to provide them with the best learning experience possible. She is currently working as a preschool teacher with a goal of pursuing further professional development as a Special Education Teacher.

    Janelle has been working with children since 2013 in Early Childhood Programs, she initially joined the Goddard team for the 2016 school year. Before that time she enjoyed being a camp counselor for Preschool and Elementary aged children for 5+ years. Janelle also had the benefit of working in her mother's home daycare program since she was 10 years old, even earning an Early Babysitter's Certification. Janelle has an Associate of Science and Business degree along with Graphic Design College classes. She has a passion for reading and loves to encourage that with all the children in her class.

    Ms. Laure graduated from the University of Eau Claire with an Elementary Degree. After staying with her kids while they were young, she started substitute teaching in the Osseo School District and part time at The Goddard School® in 2006. She realized her true passion was working with the younger ages and began working full time at the Goddard School in August of 2012. Laure also works in restaurant management training in new managers. In her spare time, Laure loves reading, working out and watching almost any kind of sport! She has two wonderful children and is very glad to be teaching here!

    My name is Jereline. I have been working with children for about 10 years. While in high school I started working at Adventure club in the Robbinsdale district then I went to being an EA (education assistant). I saw that I loved working with children, so I decided to get a teaching degree after high school. After college I worked at PICA (Parents In Community Action) Headstart. I love interacting with children and making learning fun. One rewarding part of teaching for me is knowing how you can impact a child life positively and knowing that what you have taught them will carry them to the next stage in life. I am excited to be apart of the Goddard family!

    Hi my name is Vee, I have been babysitting since 2020. I love spending time with kids, it can be so rewarding watching and helping them take a step forward. I am also currently working towards my associates degree in nursing at NHCC. Some of my favorite things to do on my downtime are reading, spending time outside and watching movies.

    Ms. Jessica tutored Elementary children in Math and Reading while in High School, which sparked her passion for working with children. She later went on to study Early Childhood Education at Northwest Technical College in Bemidji, where she also received her Paraprofessional License. Jessica began teaching at The Goddard School® in January 2015. She looks forward to helping all of the children in her classroom learn and grow.

    Jaila is a full time student at Augsburg University. Jaila has participated in working for her church's Sunday School, babysitting, tutoring, and being a nanny. She loves being around children and has experience working with children of all ages, as early as 1-12. Jaila is looking forward to the involvement and opputunities working with the amazing staff and young ones at Goddard!

    Kitchen Manager: Ms. Susan has been with Goddard for 4 years startingin the Preschool classroom and then choosing the Kitchen Manager position. Susan graduated from the college of St. Catherine with a degree B.A. degree in Elementary Education. She has 20 years experience teaching preschool through high school, along with being a mom herself. Susan has taught from the north- Minnesota to the south- New Mexico. She loves catering to the unique educational needs of each child.
