A teacher at The Goddard School of Dedham is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally, a teacher is responsible to work together with a co-teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty. Children learn best through experience and the Goddard School encompasses a learning through play curriculum. The culture of the school values and honors teachers and caregivers. This is an amazing opportunity to join a team working in a beautiful center. The Goddard School has children ages 6 weeks old through 6 years old. We are currently seeking EEC Certified Teachers to join our team! Not yet EEC certified? The Goddard School provides assistance with EEC certification and full reimbursement! Responsibilities: • Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment • Create and implement fun and engaging plans with the guidance of the Program Coordinator • Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance • Establish an effective classroom, responsive to each child’s needs • Adhere to all EEC regulations and Goddard School policies and procedures Benefits: • Competitive Salary • Generous Paid Time Off • Paid Holidays • Paid Winter Break (week between Christmas and New Years) • Health Insurance • 401K • Company paid workers compensation • Tuition Reimbursement • 50% Childcare discount • Educational Development inclusive of free classes through Goddard University • Assistance with receiving the EEC Certification (paid for by The Goddard School) General Qualifications and Skills: • The ability to understand and support the education program using a “learning through play” philosophy • The ability to interact closely with children at their level • The ability to keep children within sight and sound supervision at all times • The ability to change children’s diapers and/or assist in toileting (where necessary) • EEC Certification preferred (or we will help you get it) • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work as part of a team and take directions • Ability to multi-task • Candidate must be flexible and able to respond to change as needed Candidate must be passionate about working with children and bring a positive attitude each and every day!
