Our Goddard School Teachers

From Cincinnati, I came to Atlanta to study electrical engineering at Georgia Tech. After more than a decade in leadership roles at a Fortune 100 company, where I earned three U.S. patents, I developed an interest in business and earned an MBA from Emory University. Becoming a parent changed my perspective and led me to open The Goddard School, where I could make an impact on children’s lives and support families in our community. With respective degrees from Harvard College & Howard University, my adult daughter and son credit their love of learning to their early years at The Goddard School. Outside of Goddard, I enjoy time with husband, family & friends. I have served as PTA president, school business council member, and team mom. My favorite children's book is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. I am a graduate of Leadership Georgia, served on the Board of Directors for Ferst Readers, and remain active in several service organizations. My goal is simple - to be impactful.

I am from Atlanta, Georgia. I have a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Mercer University, and master’s degree in Reading Instruction from Georgia State University. I also have a Specialist in Teacher Leadership degree from Thomas University. I began my professional experience working with young children in 2003. What I enjoy most about teaching children is watching them learn to overcome challenges. I enjoy teaching my students to love what makes them special. My favorite children’s book is, “The Sneeches” by Dr. Suess. In my free time I enjoy baking, crafting, reading, and traveling. My favorite saying is, “You can learn anything.”

Ms. Myleka is from Atlanta, Georgia, and is currently pursuing her degree in Early Childhood Education from Atlanta Technical College. She began working with young children in 2011. Ms. Myleka knew once she stepped into the classroom that she wanted to make a difference as a teacher. What she enjoys most about teaching is seeing children’s faces when they learn something new and watching what they take away from their teachers. In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, and painting. Her favorite children’s book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.

Ms. Wynette is from Atlanta, Georgia, and began working with young children in 2025. What she enjoys most about teaching children is watching them achieve their developmental goals. In her free time, Ms. Wynette enjoys swimming and cooking. She loves sharing books of all genres with the young learners in her class.

Ms. Shorline is from Brooklyn, New York, and attended Touro University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Science and Psychology. She has been working with young children for over 15 years. Ms. Shorline enjoys bonding with the children in her class and watching them grow. In her free time, she loves movies, spending time with her son, and listening to music across many genres, including K-pop, instrumental jazz, Reggae, Soca, and Calypso. Her favorite children’s book is Llama Llama Red Pajamas by Anna Dewdney.

Ms. Molly is from North Carolina and has been working with young learners since 1990. She loves seeing the excitement on their faces when learning new things. She also loves the opportunity to be a part of their development while providing them with a safe learning environment. Ms. Molly’s favorite children’s book is Oh, the Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seuss.

Ms. Kendra is from Fulton County, Georgia, and has been working with young children for over ten years. What she enjoys most about working with children is seeing them smile. Her favorite children’s book is If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff.

Ms. Andrea is from Atlanta, Georgia, and has been in Early Childhood Education since 2012. Her favorite part about working with children is being a part of their joy and seeing their individuality shine. In her free time, Ms. Andrea enjoys drawing and playing video games. Her favorite children’s book is Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss.

Ms. Nikki is from San Antonio, Texas, and attended the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she studied animation. She began working with children in 2025. Ms. Nikki enjoys teaching because she loves the moment when something clicks for a child, as well as watching children learn to express their feelings. In her free time, she enjoys art, animals, animation, and walks in the park. Her favorite children’s book is Skippyjon Jones by Judith Byron Schachner.

Ms. Lavojia is from Decatur, Georgia, and attended Post University, where she earned her degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been working with children for over 4 years. Ms. Lavojia believes that her role as a teacher is to give children skills for success. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, reading, and arts and crafts. Her favorite children’s book is One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss.

Ms. Dana is from Long Island, New York, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Valdosta State University. She has been working with young children for over three years. Ms. Dana loves to watch her students grow and discover new things. Her favorite children’s book is Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault.

Ms. Narica is from Brooklyn, New York, and holds a TCC certificate and a CDA in Early Childhood Education. She began working with young children in 2018. Ms. Narica enjoys being part of children’s growth and helping to nurture them in a peaceful and supportive environment. Her favorite children’s book is Please, Baby, Please by Spike Lee.

Ms. Leticia is from Wilson, Wisconsin, and earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin. She began working with children in 2012. Ms. Leticia enjoys teaching because she gets to witness children’s growth and be a part of their milestones. In her free time, she enjoys running and reading. Her favorite children’s book is Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr.

Ms. Yasmin is from Atlanta, Georgia, and began working with young children in 2020. What she enjoys most about teaching children is seeing them smile as they learn and grow. Her favorite children’s book is If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff.

Ms. Tayah is from Atlanta, Georgia, and is currently pursuing her CDA credentials. She began working with children in 2022. She enjoys teaching because she loves engaging with her students and watching them grow. In her free time, Ms. Tayah enjoys designing and crafting clothes. Her favorite children’s book is Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister.

Ms. Chiketta is from Atlanta, Georgia, and has been working with young children for over 25 years. What she enjoys most about teaching children is seeing their growth. Children motivate her, and she enjoys learning new things from their development. Her favorite saying is “Communication is key, learn something new every day.” Ms. Chiketta’s favorite children’s book is Llama Llama by Anna Dewdney.

Ms. Megan is from Commerce, Georgia, and is currently working on her CDA credentials. She began working with young children in 2024. What she enjoys most about teaching is seeing a child’s daily growth and creating bonds with her students. Her favorite children’s book is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein.

Ms. Ebony is from Boston, Massachusetts, and attended the University of West Georgia. She has been working with young learners since 2019 and enjoys teaching because she loves watching students learn, grow, and develop emotionally. In her free time, Ms. Ebony enjoys Pilates, cooking, and going to the beach. Her favorite children’s books are No, David! by David Shannon and The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss.

Ms. Chamieka is from Brooklyn, New York. She has a degree in nursing and completed EMT school. She began working with children in education in 2012. What she enjoys most about teaching is helping children learn skills they can use in life. She also loves hearing them say, “I did it,” and seeing their proud smiles. In her free time, Ms. Chamieka enjoys filming, cooking, healthy living, and fashion. Her favorite children’s book is The Three Little Pigs by Joseph Jacobs.

Ms. Corshey (Ms. Shey) is from Sandy Springs, Georgia, and began working with young children in 2019. What she enjoys most about teaching children is watching them learn and grow. She also loves fostering their creativity. In her free time, she enjoys arts and crafts and outdoor activities. Her favorite children’s book is Frog and Toad by Arnold Lobel.

Ms. Tajmah is from Chicago, Illinois, and holds an associate’s degree. She began working with children in 2020. She enjoys teaching because she is passionate about helping students learn and grow while being a positive role model. In her free time, she enjoys reading and watching reality TV shows. She also loves sharing stories from her favorite children’s authors, Dr. Seuss and Marc Brown, with her class.

Ms. Kiamber is from Social Circle, Georgia, and is currently pursuing her CDA from Gwinnett Technical College. She began working with young children in 2022. What she enjoys most about teaching is seeing children smile and being able to teach them new things. She wants to make sure that each child is learning while being hands-on during fun activities. In her free time, Ms. Kiamber enjoys reading and singing. Her favorite children’s book is Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss.

Ms. Khadaijah is from Atlanta, Georgia, and began working with young children in 2017. She enjoys teaching because she gets to see each child’s personality shine and grow in their own unique way. In her free time, Ms. Khadaijah enjoys traveling and being involved in the beauty industry. Her favorite children’s book is If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff.

Ms. Mashaya (Miracle) is from Warthen, Georgia, and has been a teacher at this school for three years. Her favorite part of teaching is seeing her students’ faces light up as they learn and have fun. In her free time, Ms. Miracle enjoys serving at her church, reading, and watching K-dramas. Her favorite children’s book is Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss.

Ms. Iyona is from Atlanta, GA, and has completed the Early Childhood Education (ECE) pathway, including ECE I, II, and III courses. She began working with children in 2022 and enjoys teaching because she finds joy in watching students learn and grow. She especially loves seeing children gain confidence as they master new skills and reach developmental milestones. In her free time, Ms. Iyona enjoys self-care days. Her favorite children’s book is The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister.

Ms. Crystal is from Brooklyn, New York, and earned her bachelor’s degree from DeVry University. She began working with children in 2010. She enjoys teaching because she has the opportunity to help students grow and express their creativity, as well as make a positive impact on their lives. In her free time, Ms. Crystal enjoys soccer and swimming. She loves all things math and enjoys finding fun ways to share it with her students.

Ms. My-Asia is from Virginia and attended Emory University. She has been working with young children since 2024. What she enjoys most about teaching is helping students learn and grow, and encouraging their imagination. In her free time, Ms. My-Asia enjoys cooking, exploring new cultures, and doing hair. Her favorite children’s book author is Dr. Seuss.
